"Where the hell am I?"
And that is what the King of Curses, Ryomen Sukuna, thought. Clearly, he had a splitting headache as he tried to piece together what had happened.
Sitting beneath an umbrella that shielded him from the harsh sunlight, Sukuna let out an irritated sigh.
"Now, where should I begin?"
[Jujutsu World]
In a realm where sorcerers and curses coexist, curses arise from humans' negative emotions, while sorcerers harness that energy. Amid this world of magic and malevolence, one 'former' human looms large: Ryomen Sukuna.
The name alone carries a weight that can shake the very foundations of the jujutsu world, evoking fear and dread in the hearts of many.
Ryomen Sukuna, known simply as Sukuna, was a 'former' human who lived a millenium ago. Although the circumstances of his demise remain shrouded in mystery, his legacy is marked by one chilling title:
"The King of Curses."
While he may have practiced sorcery during his life, referring to him as a sorcerer would be a mistake. He is a sadistic, truly malevolent being who derives pleasure from the pain and suffering of others. His reign of terror a millennium ago forced countless sorcerers to confront him, yet none emerged victorious.
Death was the fate of those who dared challenge his dominion.
Sukuna, the embodiment of malevolence, was revered as the most powerful jujutsu sorcerer of his era. An undisputed King of Curses, he struck fear into the hearts of all who crossed his path.
In death, Sukuna divided himself into twenty indestructible cursed objects, each resembling a finger. These fingers collectively held a fraction of his immense power.
Anyone who consumed a finger became Sukuna's vessel. This fate befell Yuji Itadori, an ordinary high school student who unknowingly ingested one of these cursed artifacts, becoming Sukuna's unwilling host.
Numerous events unfolded, from the Cursed Child arc to the Shibuya incident, where Sukuna's sinister plans took a new turn. Seizing control of Yuji's body, Sukuna employed a forceful technique to compel Megumi to consume several of his fingers. This act left Yuji bewildered and anxious for his friend's well-being. Powerless to intervene, Yuji could only watch as Megumi became the vessel for Sukuna.
Subsequent events led to the Culling Games, culminating in a cataclysmic clash between Ryomen Sukuna and the unsealed Gojo Satoru. The strongest sorcerer of a millennium ago, the King of Curses, faced off against the current strongest sorcerer.
In a battle of immense proportions, both sorcerers unleashed their domain expansions, their techniques colliding with a resounding impact. While Sukuna excelled in domain expansion clashes, Gojo Satoru's mastery of hand-to-hand combat tipped the scales in his favor.
With their respective abilities pushed to the limit, this battle was a testament to their true power.
Sukuna, with calculated intent, compelled Megumi to ingest his fingers through forceful means, exploiting Megumi's Ten Shadows technique. This act was driven by Sukuna's fascination with Megumi's technique, recognizing its potential to counter the limitless technique. By harnessing the power of Mahoraga, Sukuna could adapt to Gojo's domain expansion, albeit at the cost of Mahoraga needing to complete four spins atop its head to fully acclimate.
Sukuna initially strategized ways to seize victory after Mahoraga had adjusted to Gojo's domain expansion. Yet, Sukuna's plans took an unexpected turn.
Gojo Satoru employed his ultimate technique, combining the Curse Technique: Red and Curse Technique: Blue to conjure Hollow Purple, an immense, all-consuming sphere capable of erasing anything it touched. This devastating attack connected with Sukuna, resulting in his defeat.
In Sukuna's final moments, his torn and battered form lay on the ground. Blood dripped from his mangled body, the aftermath of Gojo's formidable strike.
"Any final words?" Gojo queried, as Sukuna's consciousness began to wane.
Sukuna gazed at the ground, his right arm and left leg reduced to tatters. Blood seeped from his wounds, his energy waning rapidly. With a final grin, Sukuna's eyes glazed over, his consciousness fading. Defeat was inevitable. This was the culmination of his battle with Gojo.
