Dad's face twisted with anger as he shouted, "I said speak to your mum!"
I flinched at his tone, but I remained defiant, keeping my lips sealed shut.
"You are as stubborn as your mother, and I hate it," he growled. "I warned you to drop this stubbornness earlier, but you just won't listen. Say hello!" He forcefully gripped my jaw, applying pressure, but I still refused to speak.
Tears streamed down my face as the pain intensified, but I held firm.
"Do you want me to break your jaw before you finally open that mouth of yours?" he threatened menacingly.
In that intense moment, my thoughts raced. The pain in my jaw throbbed with each increasing pressure. Dad's anger was palpable, his grip tightening, but I couldn't give in. Tears blurred my vision, but inside, I had a quiet resolve held strong against his fury.
"Please, baby, say something before he hurts you more," Mom pleaded desperately over the phone.
