I went on to explain everything that had happened to Mr. Cowell. I could see a mix of emotions swirling in his eyes—shock, worry, and surprise—but he quickly masked them.
"And now, she is suddenly like this," I finished, feeling concerned.
"Hey, Rosella," he called, moving closer to Mum. "Are you feeling unwell again? Do you need to go to the hospital?" he asked with concern, but Mum shook her head in disagreement. "Okay. Is it about the sedan that has been trailing them, or is it something else?" he pressed, trying to understand the situation better.
I watched as tears welled up in Mum's eyes, and before I could react, Mr. Cowell intervened.
"Excuse us for a moment," he said gently, leading Mum to the kitchen.
