The next morning, Mum was too ill to drive us to school again. This time, I insisted she go to the hospital, and after some persuasion, she promised she would. Mum then called the cab driver we had used before to take us to school until she recovered.
Arriving at school, Lily was the first person I saw from our group. She waved, and I approached her.
"Have you seen the trio yet?" I asked.
"They are not here yet," she replied.
"Okay," I said, settling into my seat and taking out a box filled with the letters we had composed yesterday.
Lily got up from her seat and strolled over to mine, leaning against my desk with a mischievous grin.
"So..." she started.
"So?" I replied, curious.
"Speaking about the trio, most especially Rex. When are you going to tell him?" she asked, her tone playful.
"Tell him about what?" I asked, feeling a bit confused.
