Do anything just be mindful of the car I don't want it to be scratched!" I hear my mum shout. I wonder what she was talking about.
"Don't worry miss I will be careful of the car whilst killing her!" He shouts back. I'm sorry but what? This dude was going to kill me? Why? Did my mum want to be rid of me? Then I turn to look through the window the other side of me and my mum was on her phone. I went to look back at the dude but he was gone.
Where?
I decide to get out the car to see where he was and then I saw it... a dragon! The dragon didn't look like an ordinary dragon you would hear about in storys or see in films. It had these chestnut brown scails and these sharp pointy pearl white teeth. It just hoverd in the sky like it was waiting for something. I looked at my mum and saw her taking a picture of the dragon. Probably to put on some social media that I'm dead!
The dragon started flying really fast towards me and I start running. It does a dive bomb to get me so I throw myself at the floor. It's wing hits the side of the car. "CAREFUL I SAID CAREFUL!" I hear my mum shout at it. Yeah like it would understand. I get back to my feet and start running. I climb over the fence around the feild and then I see in the sky the dragon is turning around.
Why?
I start running along the feild and then my anger becomes out of control. My pearl white wings come out and my legs come off the floor. I turn around and see my mum running to her car and driving off. She was ditching me. I heard the dragon roar and I turned instantly to see a dragon before my very eyes. It landed on the feild and layed down. I slowly descended to the floor with elegance as my foot hit the floor.
Then a cloud of smoke started to form around the dragon it was like a tornado but it got smaller and smaller. Then it was the size of a human not much taller then me. The smoke started to clear and it was the kid from my science class? He was stood infront of me. "Hey sorry about trying to kill you back there" he said.
"Why?" I asked. I am not going to lie I felt a bit stupid for asking that because it was pretty obvious my mum wanted me dead so she paid him to kill me.
"I think it's obvious why don't you? And also the only reason I'm not going to actually kill you is because your different to all the others your... Well... your something... special?" He said. There was a brilliant explanation with one tiny little issue. HE SAID OTHERS! Like how many? Who else? Has he actually killed someone?
"I'm sorry others?" I say with a massive gulp.
"Yeah umm," he scratches his head,"how to explain? Oh right I work for a company of people with powers like yours and mine that kill people that are peculiar"
I look at him with confusion,"what do you mean peculiar?"
"Like people that are not ordinary"
"I'm concerned?" I say. He walks over to me and puts a hand out to touch my wing but stops dead in his tracks.
"May I?" He asks. I nod and he brushes his hands against my wings and starts stroking them. "Your wings are so soft how did you find out you had them?"
"When I was about 8 or 9 I got really annoyed at my mum one day and then my wings came out. Shocked us both." I say. I put my wings in and turned around trying to think of where to go from this.
"Your mum won't want you back so you might aswell come with me and you will be well taken care off" he says. I turn to face him and his hand was out gesturing for me to grab it and go with him. I shake my head no because I wasn't sure if I would be safe. I mean I knew him but not well he was the quiet kid in class. "Don't worry I don't bite... Well not in human form" he laughs.
"I'm not sure"
"It's ok just trust me" he says grabbing my hand from my side. He takes a step closer to me so we are literally breathing the same air. My heart starts beating really fast. "Please come with me" he begs. I nod my head and he pulls his phone out. He calls a taxi and tells them our location. We jumped over the fence and sat at the side of the road. Sooner enough the taxi was here. He stood up and helped me to my feet. We hopped in the back of the taxi and he leaned forwards to talk to the driver. He sat back and sooner enough we were on our way.
"I'm Max by the way" he says to me.
"What?"
"I never said my name and you never asked so I told you" he smiled. "Charlotte?"
"Yes?" I ask.
"Can I ask you a question?"
"Sure..." I wonder. What was he going to ask me? This wasn't about earlier in science was it?
"Earlier in science..." Yep it was about earlier in science, "if I would of asked you out what would you of said?" He asked.
"I don't know I haven't been talking to you for very long and I haven't got a sense of your character because your the quiet kid in class" I say. He looks down. "But now you seem really nice?" I say. Don't ask why I said that because I felt bad he was in love with the unlovable.
"You don't have to say things to make me feel better you know!" He says looking straight into my eyes. His eyes sparkled a green colour. "What?" He questions as I stare at him for a good few minutes.
"Oh sorry" I say fireing my head back.
