Chapter 1 - Chapter | 1 [Kicked out of the party]

Chapter |1.

"Banri, I think our adventurer party would be better off without a lousy healer like you." Daichi, the leader of the party and the strongest member of the group, spoke monotonously while putting both of his legs on the table.

The group of adventurers who had just arrived in this meeting room from the labyrinth raid were distributing the spoils of their raid; however, when it came to giving his fair share of spoils to the party's healer, the party leader had another idea.

Banri, who was being attacked verbally by the leader, looked around at the other members of his party, hoping that at least one or two of them would support him given that he had helped these individuals a lot in raids.

"Daichi is correct, Banri-kun, your level as a healer is too low, and you can't even do your healer's work without those pricey potions, so what's the point of keeping you in the party? when the alternative option is less expensive." The white-robed girl muttered. The girl's name was Aria, and she worked as the group's long-range damage dealer, an archer.

Banri, taken aback by Aria's response, looked at the other girl, who carried a sword, but the girl simply turned her head sideways and said, "I don't like weak characters, so please leave the party as we're asking you politely."

Banri sighed, realising his current position in the party, and said, "alright, if that's what all of you want, then I'll leave this party."

Akatsuki Satoru, a transmigrator from planet Earth, was the original name of Banri. He died as he was leaving a manga shop when truck-kun hit him at full speed, bringing him into this world of adventures.

Like every other isekai story, Satoru was also given a system. Nonetheless, the system he received was so peculiar that Satoru was not sure of how to use it. Despite the fact that the system didn't work effectively, Satoru was unwilling to give up and ended up becoming a healer with the help of a passive skill he received as a newbie gift, which he believed was the best option at the time because he thought he'd be able to lead a life of luxury with the money he'd earn as a healer.

However, he was completely mistaken, and he slowly but surely realised it when he was abruptly accepted into Daichi's party shortly after registering as a healer with a guild. With all these positive developments, he was quite content, but when it came to the Labyrinth raid, he found out that healers needed a certain amount of mana, and there he was with seven points in the mana in the stats.

Satoru's dreams of dominating the group, establishing a harem, and becoming the strongest slowly but surely started to fade away because the only thing the group saw him as was an exceptional bug with a mixture ability to heal.

"I'm telling you, even if you lick my feet, I'm not going to carry a dead bug like you anymore."

Satoru, who was having a flashback, was suddenly pulled out of them because of Daichi's remark; though he wanted to humble the guy, knowing the difference between power, he remained silent and looked at Aria, saying, "Aria-san, if you can give my share of spoils, I'll be on may anyway, this place reeks of arrogant filth."

'Tsk, poor bastard has steel nerves, but my plan would be effectively executed this way.' Satoru asking for money caused Daichi to smirk.

After receiving the payment, Satoru threw the party token on the table, left the meeting, and then went directly to the inn where he was currently staying.

Oh Banri-kun, could you lend a helping hand? Ayami called out as she noticed Satoru walking upstairs to his room. Owner of the fish port tavern, Ayami was in her mid-thirties and had an angelic face, but her body was full of maturity, and every move she made was breathtaking.

Thud...

Although hearing Ayami's voice was soothing, Satoru missed a step while ascending the stairs because he was startled when he was spotted by someone he was trying to avoid at the time. But now that she had seen him, he had no other choice but to assist her.

"How can I help you?" Satoru inquired as he approached the welcome desk. Though the Fish Port Tavern was known for its homely rental service, the food served here was also excellent so he had already presumed some thoughts.

"Banri-kun, you're a healer, right?" Ayami asked softly, her eyes darting around the tavern to see if anyone was paying close enough attention to her.

"Yeah, I'm a healer, why? Are you hurt anywhere?" Satoru inquired, intrigued, as he observed her caution and forgot what he had assumed.

"I appreciate your concern, but I'm fine; in fact, it's someone I know who could use your assistance. That person is an adventurer like you, but she only does missions outside of the labyrinth, and this time she was ambushed by a pack of wolves while on one of her missions." Ayami disclosed as she grew closer to Satoru's face.

"How is she doing? Is she seriously injured?" Satoru hurriedly inquired because, if that person had been ambushed by wolves, that meant someone was there who is fully capable of controlling the wolves' behaviour, and satoru was curious about that for a particular reason.

Seeing sudden hurriedness in Satoru's expressions, she was taken aback for a moment, but then taking a deep breath, she opened her lips, "she's fine at the moment, but it seems like her condition isn't getting any better than it used to such so will you please help me with this, and if you are able to heal her, I won't ask for rent for the rest of the year."

Hearing such a lavish offer, Satoru couldn't help but ask, "seriously?" to which Ayami simply nodded her head.

"So, where is the patient?" Satoru inquired eagerly, as the offer was too one-sided to pass up.

"I can't take you to her during the day for some reason, but if it's not too much trouble for you, I'll take you to her at night." she asked optimistically.
