Eric walked into the Resting Room and glanced around, his gaze landing on the person sitting in the corner as he stepped forward, "Avila, how's everything, all prepared?"
"I've pretty much prepared everything, but I still need to give some thought to the polishing and carving of the purple diamond." Maomao smiled faintly upon seeing him.
Eric eyed the purple diamond in the box, his eyes brightening, "Indeed, high purity purple diamonds like this are hard to find."
Maomao hummed in acknowledgment, then lowered her head again to contemplate the purple diamond in her hand.
Eric sat down beside her, offering suggestions to help.
"Avila, it's been a long time since we've seen each other. I didn't expect you to be here for this big competition," a woman's delicate and affected voice rose from across the room.
Maomao lifted her head to look. The face of the woman caked in heavy makeup came into view, her brows knitting together slightly with no inclination to converse with her.
