Bai Jue got home nearly at eleven.
After a shower, Zhan Mingyan just happened to call.
"Little Yannyan, missed me?" Bai Jue sprawled onto the bed, his bathrobe coming loose, exposing a swath of his honey-colored chest.
Zhan Mingyan snorted, "Why didn't you answer your phone just now?"
"The battery died, just got back."
His deep voice was slightly hoarse with a rasp.
"Have you been drinking?" Zhan Mingyan astutely noted something off about his voice.
Bai Jue openly admitted, "Yeah, had some wine with Black Jack and Jian Luo."
Jian Luo was the weakest drinker, getting tipsy after just a couple of glasses.
"So, have you sorted out your business?" Zhan Mingyan asked.
Bai Jue chuckled softly, "What, missing me?"
"Psh, as if I have time to miss you. My grandpa was asking when you'll be back to play chess with him, and reminded you not to forget the fine wine you promised him," Zhan Mingyan retorted with her cheeks heating up slightly.
