"We nearly didn't make it together."
Zhan Mingyan looked surprised, "Why?"
"We had a fight. He didn't understand what I really wanted at first, and then there was his ex-girlfriend with a brain full of holes, so I just kicked him to the curb and walked away," Xiya said lightly, the bitterness of those memories known only to herself.
"That would be considered a very formal breakup."
"So, did you get back together because of Maomao?" Zhan Mingyan continued to ask.
Xiya shook her head, her tone firm, "No."
"Hm?" Zhan Mingyan didn't understand.
With a faint smile, Xiya looked up at the seamless sky and sea, "If I hadn't seen his true intentions, if he hadn't understood what I really wanted, even with the presence of Maomao, I wouldn't have reconciled with him."
She was not the type to spend the rest of her life in a reluctant relationship just because of a child, that was too mediocre, not cool at all.
