Jian Luo looked into those blue eyes, the tenderness in them failing to warm him. Just thinking about how Black Jack used to look at Lis with those same eyes stirred up a distaste in him.
He shrugged it off and calmly said, "Black Jack, the answer you wanted before, I can give it to you now: we're not a good match. From now on, it would be more suitable if we remained friends."
He didn't have the energy to watch Black Jack entangled with other women, nor did he want to get into a war of words with him. So being back to being friends would be more relaxing for everyone.
"What did you say?" The smile in Black Jack's eyes disappeared as he asked through gritted teeth.
Was this his answer?
To hell with that.
He would not accept it.
"I've made myself very clear." Jian Luo forced out, his tone becoming more distant.
Seeing him about to leave, Black Jack panicked. He grabbed Jian Luo's wrist, pulling him towards him.
