"Get up, hurry up." Zhan Mingyan reached out to pull him up, pushed him out, and incidentally handed him an umbrella.
"Eh, Zhan Mingyan..."
Bai Jue turned around, the glass door closed, he was met with disappointment.
"Hurry back."
Having said that, Zhan Mingyan immediately drew the door curtains.
Bai Jue stepped back and turned to look at the floor-to-ceiling windows, only to see the curtains were also drawn, leaving no gaps, out of sight from the inside.
"Ah—" He sighed, glanced at the umbrella in his hand, and simply sat down at the doorstep.
One hand resting on his knee, he looked up at the dark, oppressive night sky, not a star in sight, feeling somewhat depressed.
Inside the house, Zhan Mingyan lay in bed, tossing and turning, unable to fall asleep.
The sound of rain outside went tick-tock, tick-tock, further unsettling her.
