"Cough, cough――"
Zhan Mingyan was bent over the sink, incessantly vomiting.
After wolfing down all that cake and drinking cold coffee, she felt as though her stomach was about to give out.
She turned the faucet on, and as clean water gushed out, she scooped up some to rinse her mouth. As she looked up, she saw Jian Qing standing next to her.
"Are you feeling better?" Jian Qing handed her a paper towel, asking softly.
Zhan Mingyan took the towel and wiped the water off her face while giving a bitter smile, "Jian Qing, am I not that good?"
Jian Qing shook her head, "You are very good."
As she met Jian Qing's clear ink-black eyes, Zhan Mingyan eventually dropped her guard and cried in front of her.
Jian Qing took a step forward and tenderly enveloped her, softly patting her back.
"Next time I see Bai Jue, I'll punch him for you."
Hearing her words, Zhan Mingyan sobbed while laughing.
"Jian Qing, thank you."
