Chapter 195: Yukino, All A-rank Attributes

After lunch with Zaimokuza, Hachiman stumbled upon a secluded staircase, settled down, and luxuriated in the midday breeze. Despite it being mid-April, the temperature retained a pleasantly cool touch.

A gentle breeze carried a hint of coolness, coaxing a contented smile onto Hachiman's face as he savored this tranquil moment. Suddenly, a familiar voice reached him from behind.

"Hey, isn't this Hikki?"

Turning around, he encountered Yui's familiar face.

"It's Yui. Why didn't you join Yukinoshita for lunch today?"

"I did have lunch with Yukino-chan, but I lost a game we were playing together." Yui settled down beside Hachiman.

"It's sort of a penalty game, I guess."

"Are you telling me that the loser has to come and talk to me?"

Observing the girl with a playful smile, Hachiman joined in the banter.

"It's not that, Hikki. What's so special about you? It's just that the loser has to go buy drinks." Yui pouted unhappily but resumed smiling after a moment.

"Initially, Yukino-chan wasn't keen on it. She said something like, 'Why should I indulge in such behavior, satisfying a petty conquest desire by obtaining my own food?'" Yui mimicked Yukino's serious tone.

"That does sound like something she'd say." Hachiman chuckled.

"But I simply said, 'Does Yukino-chan lack confidence?' and she agreed." Yui's face showed a proud expression.

"Wow, my silly Yui has even mastered the art of provocation. You're making progress." Hachiman encouraged her with a surprised look.

"What? Am I that naive in your eyes?" Hearing his words, Yui pouted.

"Also, who said you're 'my' silly Yui? You're just Hikki." The girl retorted.

Girl, you're quite tsundere.

Hachiman didn't expect the airheaded girl to have a tsundere side. He smiled to himself.

"Though I've played this kind of game with Yumiko and the others before, playing it with Yukino is a first, and it feels quite interesting," Yui said in a gentle tone.

However, Hachiman shrugged, "If Yumiko heard you say that, she'd definitely get angry."

It's only natural; the two girls have never been on good terms. If Yumiko found out that Yui thinks playing with Yukino is more enjoyable than being with her, she'd surely be upset.

"Tch, you silly Hikki, Yumiko isn't as petty as you are." Yui didn't buy it, making a funny face.

At this moment, another figure caught the girl's attention. With grayish short hair, glistening with sweat, a refined face, a towel draped over his shoulders, and a tennis racket in hand – it was Saika, who had just finished practice.

"Yahallo Saika." Yui greeted him again with a silly smile.

"Hello, Yui."

Wiping the sweat off his face, Saika greeted them back and then turned his head towards Hachiman.

"Hachiman, good afternoon."

"Yeah, good afternoon, Saika." Hachiman nodded in response.

"Are Yui and Hachiman having lunch together?" Seeing the two sitting together, Saika asked.

"Nope, I just came out to buy something and happened to run into Hikki." Yui explained, then glanced at Saika's outfit.

"Saika, did you just finish tennis practice?"

"Yeah, I did." Saika nodded.

"I remember you're in the tennis club, right? In addition to club activities, you also practice during lunch. It must be tough." Yui sighed.

"There's no other way. My tennis skills are so poor; I have to practice more." Speaking of his tennis skills, Saika scratched his face somewhat embarrassedly and then looked at Hachiman with a hint of hope.

"By the way, Hachiman, I remember you're good at tennis. Can you teach me?"

"Huh? Is Hikki really good at tennis? I didn't know." Yui, beside them, was curious.

There's a lot you don't know, Hachiman thought, rolling his eyes internally.

"That's certainly not a problem. I've joined a club called the Service Club now, so we can assist you in practicing together."

"Yes, consider this a request. Yukino-chan would be delighted to hear about it," Yui said, smiling happily.

"Oh, there's no need for that. It's too troublesome, and I don't want to interfere with your club activities," Saika quickly waved his hand.

"Rest assured, Saika. Our club's main activities usually revolve around helping others, like volunteers," Hachiman smiled, and Yui chimed in.

"Exactly, Saika. You can trust us. Yukino-chan is really great. She's helped me several times before."

"Well... thank you so much then."

Hearing their words, Saika dispelled his concerns, bowing slightly to express his gratitude.

Service Club.

Hachiman took the initiative to visit the clubroom and explained the situation to Yukino.

After listening, Yukino pondered for a moment and said, "Teaching tennis is fine. But do you really know how to play tennis?"

As she spoke, Yukino looked at him with a somewhat skeptical expression.

"Don't try to show off and end up embarrassing yourself."

"Rest assured, Yukinoshita. I have some knowledge of tennis." Hearing Yukino's words, Hachiman smiled and shrugged.

"Besides, if I can't handle it, there's always you, Yukinoshita. I'm sure tennis is a piece of cake for you."

"Naturally. I excel in various aspects." Yukino wore a confident smile on her face.

"When I was younger, the girls at school tried their best to ostracize me."

"Unfortunately, none of them thought of improving themselves to surpass me."

"What a group of dimwits."

This Yukino mode, once again making her entrance!

Upon hearing the girl's remarks, Hachiman inwardly rolled his eyes.

Sure, sure, you're the most exceptional.

If we were to adhere to the game's attribute settings, you must have an A in academics, an A in sports, and, well, an A in the chest size too...

"It seems you agreed to this request as well?"

"I never expected you to willingly help others. I might have to reconsider my opinion of you."

This left Hachiman somewhat at a loss. Even at this juncture, Yukino hadn't lost her sharp tongue.

Nonetheless, he smiled and responded, "Well, someone approached me with the request, and it's not something too difficult, so I agreed to it."

"Casually accepting someone else's request might not always be a good thing, you know?"

"So, what about you? Accept or reject?"

"Well, I'll wait for the person making the request to come in person, understand the specific situation, and then decide."

"Yahallo!"

Just as the two continued their conversation, accompanied by a distinctive greeting, Yui and Saika opened the door to the clubroom.
