Darrius felt like he was being disturbed from this wild dream of his. He felt like something was nudging him from the depths of his sleep. Finally opening one of his eyes. He quickly set up realizing he was not long on the battlefield and he was alive in a unfamiliar place. Glancing around he was laying on the floor of a small room about 6 feet across and 6 feet long. Calling it a room is a stretch as he wouldn't even call it a shack at this point. He was laying on a tattered rug and the walls where pieces of tarp that had been roughly held together with bits of whatever string he guessed could be found. Holes in the make shift roof showed it was night time and the light of the full moon shown through. Giving the room an ethereal glow.
He quickly stood up expecting to have to stoop over to avoid hitting the roof but realized he was much shorter then he remembered. Glancing down at this hands and legs he had a sudden realization flashing back to that dream. In a low voice of disbelief "I'm alive, I have been given a second chance!" suddenly a horrible headache assaulted him. Memories from his past playing through his mind in a blur, suddenly there was another voice sounding younger than the old pair from before. "Darrius, I must be quick before those two old bats figure me out. It is I #(@*&%*#& the god of blacksmithing. You being a devote follower and the creations you made in the past I cannot let you be left this way!" In a flash that blinded him he was suddenly holding a small book and another headache assaulted him until he passed out and fell back onto the rug. A small mark of a hammer atop an anvil glowed upon the inside of his wrist before disappearing. "Forgive me for not better helping you Darrius" it whispered to the unconscious boy in his mind. "Powers are at play here that I cannot control, so take this and we will see each other again" and as quick as he came he was gone again.
The Sun rose the next morning and Darrius finally roused from his sleep. Going to rub his eyes to clear his vision he soon realized he was holding a small book. Flipping the book back and forth it seemed like nothing special just a regular small book like he remembered the only details of it was the golden hammer atop of a anvil, but the anvil was a otherworldly black like the abyss he floated in. Flipping open the small book the very first page said something in a strange jumbled script he couldn't read at all. Rubbing his eyes to check if he was seeing things he looked at the script again and suddenly he was able to read it. True Blacksmithing was all that it said. Darrius thought confusingly, "True blacksmithing….like any kind of blacksmithing was not true. Its blacksmithing it's a way to create things you can't falsely blacksmith something….." He noticed a golden glow from his wrist and suddenly the book had disappeared from his hand and a notification screen popped up in front of his face scaring him and causing him to fall back down to the rug. Looking at the transparent blue screen with script on it he slowly got to his feet and looked more closely at it.
Darrius, Welcome to the True Blacksmith System. The God *#(#($%U$Y## has taken pity on you and your task and has blessed you with this System. Please be advised that the system can help you in many ways and it is best to not ignore it. Darrius looked at this screen in disbelief and read it again for the second time. It reminded him of all the books his girlfriend was so in love with that he never understood.
He noticed a small button on the bottom right corner flashing "NEXT". Tapping on it the screen suddenly changed and a new screen materialized. This showed Darrius's personal stats and information.

Looking over this status screen Darrius confirmed his age and the rest of it he pieced together about what the stats mean. Looking at his luck was 0 he sighed heavily, remembering what the 2 entities said. His stomach rumbled and he felt like it was the worst time. Moving the tarp out of the way he glanced outside and quickly realized that he was out in a open forest. He could hear water moving in the distance and guessed that he should head that way first. Maybe he could come up with a plan and at least quench his thirst in the meantime.
