Alex POV:
I woke up to the soft glow of the evening sun, casting a warm orange light on the room. It was already five, and she was still sleeping, her gentle snores a soothing melody. I got out of bed and ordered some dishes, the aroma of Coq au Vin and truffle crust wafting through the air, teasing my senses.
The room attendant arrived, and I gently laid back on the bed, caressing her face. She stirred, and I whispered in her ear, "You have to wake up. It's past time to stay with me. I have things to do."
She turned her back, and I carried her to the couch, where our dinner was set. The soft clinking of glasses and the gentle hum of the air conditioner filled the air. I opened the plate, revealing the culinary masterpiece before us.
We ate in silence, the only sound the clinking of utensils on plates. I poured the wine, and she took a sip, her eyes locked on mine. The tension was palpable, like a thick fog.
When we finished, I said, "Let me take you home." She began to protest, but I cut her off, my tone firm. "No talking. That's my final say. Stand up, and let's go."
She didn't argue, and we left the hotel, walking in silence. I wore a mask and dark glasses, my eyes fixed on her back as she walked ahead. I didn't want to engage in small talk or pretend to be someone I'm not. Not now, not this evening.
The cool evening air enveloped us, the only sound our footsteps echoing through the quiet streets.
Lydian POV:
I arrived in Flake Town that afternoon, my anger simmering like a pot left unattended. I went straight to that woman's house, but she was nowhere to be found. I waited, my patience wearing thin, my eyes fixed on the clock. 7:30, and she still hadn't returned. Where was she? I thought, my mind racing with possibilities.
My Lamborghini was parked a distance away, its sleek design a testament to my wealth and power. I sat inside, waiting for her, my eyes fixed on the gate. I was going to teach her a lesson, show her who was in charge.
Jenny POV:
I walked ahead, my heart sinking like a stone in a well. Alex was supposed to walk with me, like a couple, but instead, he trailed behind. I felt a shiver run down my spine as I saw a familiar car parked in front of my gate - a Lamborghini.
As I approached, the door swung open, and Alex called my name. I turned, my eyes locking onto his. "Don't take another step forward," he said, his voice low and even.
Before I could respond, he pulled me to him, shielding me from the charging figure. I looked up to see Lydian, her eyes blazing with rage, her face twisted in a snarl. Oh no, I thought, my heart racing. She's come for me.
Lydian's eyes locked onto mine, her gaze piercing like a knife. I could see the fury in her eyes, the desire to hurt me. I steeled myself, ready to face her wrath.
Alex POV:
Lydian's voice cut through the air like a knife, her words dripping with venom. "You fool, let go of my hand!" she shouted, her face twisted in a snarl.
I raised an eyebrow, my tone detached. "So, it has come to this. Lydian, why are you here?"
Lydian's eyes locked onto mine, her voice shaking like a leaf. "Al...Alex, is that you?"
I sighed, my patience wearing thin. "Why are you here, Lydian? Don't make me repeat myself again."
Lydian's gaze flicked to Jenny, her eyes blazing with anger. "I came for her. She went against our deal."
I raised an eyebrow, my tone cold. "So, you want to slap her. Tell me, what's the reason behind this...desire?"
Lydian's face twisted in a scowl. "She broke our agreement. I came to teach her a lesson."
Jenny stepped forward, her voice firm. "I'm right here, Lydian. Let me handle it myself, Alex. You can go."
I smiled, my eyes glinting with amusement. "I'm not leaving. Just pretend I'm not here with you."
Jenny turned to face Lydian, her eyes flashing with determination. The air was thick with tension, the silence between them like a challenge.
