Chapter 4 - Chapter 4

Alex POV:

"Open the boy's mask. Let me see if he's truly the one," Mr. Lewis said, his attention fixed intently on the boy as he waited for the mask to be removed.

I nodded, and as the mask was lifted, I swiftly hit Mr. Lewis' gun, sending it flying across the room. I drew my spare gun and pointed it at his head.

His men, caught off guard, attempted to retaliate, but I dodged their bullets with ease. One of the bullets, however, struck their own boss in the thigh, eliciting a pained growl.

I couldn't help but laugh at the stupidity of his men. "If you don't want him dead, leave this place on the count of four," I warned, my gun still trained on Mr. Lewis.

They hastily retreated, leaving me with their wounded boss. "Who should die first?" I asked, my tone cold.

"Me," Mr. Lewis replied, his voice laced with resignation.

I nodded, impressed by his courage. "Take him in, treat his wound. I don't want him dead... not yet," I instructed my men.

They nodded, covering Mr. Lewis' face with cloth before leading him away. "Send that boy back to his father and tell him to protect his son," I added.

Leo nodded before departing. "Rhino and the rest, clean up this mess," I ordered.

After attending to my personal needs, I returned home to find my food served. As I ate, Leo informed me about Miss Annie's encounter with harassers and her rescue by a mysterious girl.

I instructed Leo to find the harassers and bring them to the main underground cave for a lesson. I also requested information about the girl who saved my sister.

Once I finished eating, I retreated to my study room, where I worked on my laptop and reviewed documents.

Jenny POV:

"Wow, it was my lucky day today," I said, reflecting on the unexpected events that had unfolded.

FLASHBACK

As we walked through the vibrant streets, surrounded by the chaos of the city, she turned to me and said, "Thanks for saving me," her voice filled with gratitude.

"Welcome, but you need to be careful; those guys are dangerous," I cautioned, navigating through the crowds.

"Okay, but next time I'll take my bodyguards along with me," she replied, her confidence and wealth evident in her words. Her sleek Gucci tank top and short skirt, paired with a canvas bag, exuded an air of affluence, and I wondered what she was doing in this part of town.

The sounds of the city created a constant hum - the chatter of pedestrians, the honking of horns, and the wail of sirens in the distance. We passed by street performers and vendors, the smells of street food and exhaust fumes filling the air.

"Take this," she said, snapping me out of my thoughts. She handed me a $5000. "Use it to buy a new heels."

I was taken aback by her generosity. "Thanks, but the money is too much. I can only take $5; you can use the rest to get a cab or something," I said, trying to return the majority of the cash.

However, she refused to accept it. "I'm not short of money, so I can't take it. See you when we meet again," she said with a smile, leaving me starstruck. I stood there, lost in thought, unable to believe that I had just been given five thousand dollars by this mysterious girl.

FLASHBACK ENDS

I didn't notice when Tasha entered my room, but her sudden "Boo!" made me jump. "Damn you, Tasha, you scared the hell out of me!" I exclaimed, clutching my chest.
