"I can't believe this." Maya gasped in disbelief as she stared angrily at the text message.
A second ago she was sad about what happened but now, her sadness had turned into anger. Her hand that held her phone was shaking.
"What's the matter?" Brian, her manager asked, noticing her change of mood and reaction. "Is there another news of them saying awful things about you? You shouldn't mind their words."
"My anger has nothing to do with the scandal. It's so shocking that Bryan dares to send me an invitation to his company's anniversary. How could he?" Maya uttered, enraged by the message as she stared at it again.
"He sent it to annoy you, you shouldn't let his words get to you. He is just jealous, most of them are jealous. You should have parted ways with them a long time ago. I think things would have been more bearable for you." Her manager uttered, spitting facts.
