Charles's consciousness returned from the system space, and he looked around the empty conference room before deciding to leave.
He had entrusted everything to Tsunade during his two-week absence from Earth. Now that he had returned briefly, he needed to check on how Tsunade was doing.
Additionally, he had to give Tsunade a few instructions, as he was concerned she might gamble away his fortune if he left her unsupervised.
He often wondered if the wealth of the Senju clan was all lost by Tsunade's gambling habits.
As he left the conference room, he saw Tsunade standing at the doorway.
Tsunade leaned against the wall with her head down. "You're back," she said.
Charles walked over to Tsunade and stood in front of her. His voice was gentle as he said, "I'm back temporarily to handle some matters. If nothing unexpected happens, I'll be returning to Jotunheim tomorrow."
"I still have unfinished tasks there that require my attention."
Tsunade looked up at the man in front of her, and after a moment of silence, she asked, "Is the war not over yet?"
"Perhaps I could join you when you go back. That way, the war could end sooner."
Seeing Tsunade's serious expression, Charles knew she wasn't joking; she genuinely wanted to help him. He responded gently:
"There's no need to worry. The rebellion in Jotunheim has already been quelled. Thor and I are waiting for the Asgardian army to come and take over the place."
Upon hearing this, Tsunade nodded, understanding that the conflict there seemed to be coming to an end.
"Let's walk and talk. I heard you've lost quite a bit of money while I was gone. Do you still have any left?"
Charles did not linger at the conference room's entrance and instead headed downstairs.
Hearing the mention of her losses, Tsunade felt a moment of embarrassment. She didn't expect her luck to be as poor in this world as it was in her own; she hadn't won anything and had lost three hundred million dollars.
Tsunade followed alongside Charles, not knowing where he was going but staying by his side.
"I thought my luck would be better, but it all went down the drain."
Charles smiled inwardly, thinking that Tsunade's losses were to be expected. If she had won money, he would have worried that something catastrophic was going to happen during his mission.
"Given your luck, it would have been strange if you won. I'm surprised you haven't gotten used to losing by now."
Tsunade responded with some annoyance, "How could I get used to it? I used to win a lot when I was young."
Charles chuckled, thinking that Tsunade's victories as a child were only because her opponent had been her even less lucky grandfather, Hashirama Senju.
Charles glanced at Tsunade and asked, "Was it your grandpa?"
Tsunade was surprised that Charles knew about this, but she nodded. "Yes."
Then she realized the implications of Charles's ability to bring ninja from different timelines to this world. She widened her eyes and asked, "Could you bring my grandpa and my uncle here for real this time?"
"Not just for a day like before, but fully revive them in this world."
Charles stopped walking and turned to face Tsunade. He said seriously, "You can rest assured, Tsunade. Whether it's Hashirama Senju or Tobirama Senju, I will bring them here,"
As he spoke, Charles reached out and gently patted Tsunade's golden hair before quickly withdrawing his hand.
"However, it will take some time to bring your grandfather and granduncle here. It's not a simple task, especially considering their extraordinary strength."
Tsunade blushed slightly at Charles's sudden gesture and lowered her head. Seeing Charles continue to walk downstairs, she quickly followed his steps.
"It's okay. I'm just happy knowing they'll come eventually, even if it takes some time. After all, it's been many years since I've seen them."
Charles was relieved that Tsunade didn't react aggressively. He certainly didn't want to end up like Jiraiya, who had often been on the receiving end of Tsunade's punches. Although Tsunade was no longer a match for him in combat, he preferred not to risk it.
Soon, Charles led Tsunade to the dining area. After spending the last two weeks living off stored supplies in his storage space, Charles was looking forward to having freshly prepared meals at the base.
He also wanted to restock his supplies and grab some alcohol for his storage space.
Thor, in particular, had developed a taste for Earth's alcoholic beverages. Charles wondered whether this might lead to the emergence of a "chubby Thor" in the near future.
Charles and Tsunade entered the dining area and chose a table to sit down at.
"Tsunade, would you like to eat with me?"
"Of course!"
As soon as the two sat down, a staff member approached them with menus.
"Lord Charles, Lady Tsunade, here are the menus. What would you like to order?"
Charles and Tsunade each selected a few dishes for their meal.
After ordering, Charles also made arrangements for his supplies: "Please prepare 30 servings of everything on this menu for me to take away later. Also, I would like 10 cases of whiskey and 50 cases of Bud Light Lost Coast beer ready for me to take as well."
The staff member took note of Charles's instructions and quickly went to make preparations. It was clear that the kitchen would be busy for the rest of the day.
As their breakfast was served, Charles and Tsunade chatted while eating. Charles shared some of his experiences from Jotunheim.
...
Meanwhile, on the other side of the base-
Kakashi had brought Obito to his room. The two sat on the couch and began to chat.
"Is my Sharingan still in your eye, Kakashi?" Obito asked.
Kakashi lifted the forehead protector covering his eye, revealing his Sharingan. Unlike Obito's, Kakashi's Sharingan had evolved into a three-tomoe state.
Obito was astonished. "Wow, Kakashi, your Sharingan has evolved into a three-tomoe state! That's amazing!"
"I can't believe it surpassed my double-tomoe state. Is that really my eye?"
As he spoke, Obito activated his double-tomoe Sharingan, and the three Sharingan appeared in the room—all belonging to Obito.
Kakashi looked at his friend and responded, "It is your eye, but I don't know how it evolved into a three-tomoe state."
Obito stood up and stared at Kakashi's eye for a moment before sitting back down and speaking casually, "It's fortunate that you were able to keep that Sharingan. It means the clan never retrieved it."
"That's great!"
