Three days passed quickly.
During this time, Yakushi Kabuto received the 200 energy blocks issued by S.H.I.E.L.D. After receiving the energy blocks, Yakushi Kabuto immediately took them to the Charles Agency and exchanged them for a D-rank Earth Release jutsu: Earth Movement.
Meanwhile, in Jotunheim-
Charles saw that it was already the morning of the third day, the day of the transaction, and formed the hand seals to perform the Wood Release: Wood Clone Technique.
Looking at the wood clone that appeared in front of him, Charles instructed, "Tomorrow morning, use the Summoning Technique to summon me from the Summoning Realm."
"You will be responsible for staying in Jotunheim for the day. If Thor wants to spar with you, just refuse him directly."
"Alright, I understand. You can leave with peace of mind."
Charles was concerned that the wood clone might spar with Thor and get damaged.
Although the wood clone had a portion of his strength and was more durable than a shadow clone, it wasn't immortal like him. Being struck a few times by Thor's hammer posed a risk of shattering the clone.
If the wood clone broke, he wouldn't be able to return to this world, which would not be an ideal situation for him.
After giving the wood clone some instructions, Charles walked to the side and began constructing the Merlin Array. Soon, the array was built, allowing Charles to sense the anchor point he had left in New York base on Earth.
As Charles channeled chakra into the magic array, the array flashed with light, and Charles was teleported from Jotunheim to New York base.
Charles's main body successfully left, but a large Merlin Array mark remained on the ground. The strong chakra used to activate the array attracted Thor's attention from the other side.
Thor, carrying his hammer, quickly approached. Upon seeing the array mark on the ground, he looked excitedly at Charles.
"Charles, didn't you run out of magic materials?"
"Did you successfully construct the array?"
"Does this mean we can return to Asgard directly?"
Seeing Thor's excitement, Charles's wood clone shook its head and said, "I haven't built a magic anchor point here."
"As for returning to Asgard?"
"Sorry, my chakra is still not enough to transport you with me. My chakra can only transport myself."
"After all, the distance between the two places is too far. Maybe when I become stronger, I can bring you with me next time."
"For now, we must continue to wait for Asgard's ship. Given their schedule, it should arrive within about two weeks."
Hearing Charles's response, Thor was somewhat disappointed, but knowing that it was only two weeks, he felt it wasn't too long and looked at Charles.
"Since we can't return just yet, Charles, why don't we continue our sparring session? I thought of a way to counter you, so let me give it a try."
Hearing Thor's invitation to spar, Charles remembered the instructions of his main body before leaving and declined, "Thor, I have some matters in magic to attend to right now, so I'm unable to spar at the moment."
"If you want to spar, let's wait until tomorrow," Charles replied.
Hearing Charles's refusal, Thor seemed a little surprised. He glanced down at the magical array on the ground and thought for a moment before saying, "Since that's the case, I won't disturb you today. We can spar tomorrow."
"But do you have any drinks and food left?"
Charles pointed to a corner of the room and said, "They're over there; help yourself."
Thor looked in the direction Charles pointed, spotting the whiskey on the table, and smiled, saying, "Thanks, Charles."
...
At the New York base-
In the top-floor conference room, Charles suddenly appeared, having used the Merlin Array to teleport himself back.
There was no one else in the conference room aside from Charles, who had just returned. At that moment, Red Queen's voice reached his ears.
"Welcome home, Lord Charles!"
Recognizing his AI assistant, he spoke directly, "Red Queen, notify Kakashi to come over."
"Yes, Lord Charles!"
After instructing Red Queen, Charles sat down in the conference room. He had an entire morning left before the afternoon transaction, so he prepared to enter the system space and manifest Yugao, Young Obito, and others.
Besides the transaction, manifesting these subordinates was one of his objectives upon returning to Earth.
Charles's consciousness entered the system space and directly opened his ninja tab.
In the ninja tab, there were four ninja cards he hadn't used: C-rank Temari, B-rank Yugao, C-rank Nara Shikamaru, and B-rank Young Uchiha Obito.
Looking at the four ninjas, C-rank Temari could be fused with the existing C-rank Temari. The remaining three would require three battle slots.
Fortunately, his battle slots were now unlocked and ample for these three ninjas.
Charles first focused on Young Uchiha Obito and placed his card into the battle slot.
Ding! Would you like to manifest B-rank Young Uchiha Obito?
Yes!
Please choose the location to manifest B-rank Young Uchiha Obito.
A: Within three meters of Charles Doyle.
B: Random manifestation.
Seeing these two options, Charles chose A, wanting Obito to manifest within three meters of him.
Upon Charles's choice, Young Uchiha Obito's figure appeared in front of him. Obito's form shifted from ethereal to solid.
Uchiha Obito slowly opened his eyes and muttered, "So, this is the afterlife?"
"Damn Kakashi, I hope you protect Rin with my eye."
The Young Uchiha Obito manifested by Charles was the version who had already awakened his Sharingan and been trapped under a giant rock during the Battle of Kannabi Bridge, just after giving his Sharingan to Kakashi.
Seeing Uchiha Obito muttering to himself, Charles cleared his throat.
"Ahem!"
"This isn't the afterlife, Obito. Take a moment to feel your memories."
Hearing someone speak, Uchiha Obito was startled. However, upon hearing Charles's words, he began to review his memories.
Uchiha Obito closed his eyes and sensed his memories. Soon, he understood his current situation and why he was there.
Uchiha Obito opened his eyes again and respectfully addressed Charles, "Lord Charles!"
Seeing that Obito had come to an understanding, Charles nodded.
