Nick Fury looked at Coulson and sighed.
Then he spoke, "Have Lance Hunter withdraw his troops from Japan. No wonder we haven't been able to find any trace of the ninja villages. It turns out they're not even on Earth."
Hearing Nick Fury's sigh, Coulson also spoke up, "None of us expected that they wouldn't be on Earth, and they might not even be Earthlings."
Upon hearing Coulson mention that they might not be Earthlings, Nick Fury thought for a moment before speaking, "Perhaps they might still be Earthlings."
"I see many similarities in their culture, whether it's the attire of the Leaf Ninja or the Sound Ninja, I see elements of various Earth cultures."
"Moreover, their races and skin colors aren't significantly different from ours."
"Just like your assumption about Charles Doyle, we haven't been able to find any information about his parents. You speculated that he fell from the Ninja World."
"But based on the records of the injuries he sustained and the treatments he received from the killer couple who trained him, as well as the physical examination information when he applied for his identity, Charles Doyle is one hundred percent an Earthling, there's no question about that."
"So, I suspect that there's a high probability that people from the Ninja World are still Earthlings."
"Perhaps it was due to some accident or disaster that people on Earth discovered the land of the Ninja World, migrated there, and developed into the current situation."
"Of course, this is just my speculation, maybe they're like the extraterrestrials you mentioned."
"After all, in the past, Thor, someone from Norse mythology, once brought his army to visit Earth."
Listening to the words of their director, Coulson nodded, then seemed to remember something, and spoke up, "According to some mythological records, there was a great flood in the world, and Noah's Ark carried various animals and some people to escape the flood."
"Perhaps the people from the Ninja World are the descendants of those on Noah's Ark."
"So, their diverse races could be because of this. I've seen Asian races among them, as well as Caucasians like us, maybe in the future, there will be black people like you, Director."
Nick Fury nodded, then continued, "Of course, this is just our speculation."
"But it seems that we need to change some of the plans we've made."
"I didn't expect the power behind the ninjas to be so great. In the future, when dealing with them, we'll need to be more cautious."
"Although this has its drawbacks, if they are from the different planet than us, then the resources we can trade won't just be simple intelligence and some mission assignments."
"The exchange of culture, the trade of resources, can bring greater benefits to both parties."
Coulson also nodded in agreement, then Nick Fury looked at Coulson and asked, "Besides you, who else knows about this intelligence?"
Coulson thought for a moment before speaking, "James was also present at the time, so besides me, he's the only one who knows."
"Elevate the confidentiality level of this intelligence to level ten, and have James sign a confidentiality agreement. This intelligence should not be leaked temporarily."
"Understood, Director!"
"Director, what changes do we need to make in our next actions?"
Nick Fury thought for a moment before speaking, "We need to find a way to extract more intelligence from Kabuto, although he claims to be a wandering ninja, we can't be sure of that information."
"We can't rule out the possibility that he might be a spy, so we need to keep monitoring him closely."
"Additionally, although he said so, there might indeed be forces outside of the ninja villages in the Ninja World."
"To ensure the authenticity of the intelligence, Coulson, you should visit the Puppet Shop of the Hidden Sand Village and verify this information with them."
"Also, ask the Hidden Sand Village if there's any possibility of further cooperation. Since they're backed by a country, they likely have trading needs for resources."
"And regarding the strengthening serum, we need to acquire some as soon as possible."
"Earth cannot be without its own defense force. Relying solely on a Hawkeye, our strength is still too weak."
At this point, Coulson thought for a moment before speaking, "Director, I think we can consider adding the Fire Controller, Liu Haoran, whom we recruited in Hong Kong, to the list of candidates for injection with the strengthening serum."
Upon hearing Coulson's proposal, Nick Fury asked, "How so?"
"Director, based on the analysis intelligence from the science team, Liu Haoran's fire control ability is very weak. His ability to not get burned is due to the strong fire resistance of the hemoglobin in his blood."
"But because of his own energy or the weak bio-magnetic field, he can't produce very large flames."
"If we inject him with the strengthening serum to enhance his abilities, perhaps we can increase his ability to produce flames. This way, not only will his own strength be enhanced, but his ability to produce flames might also see a significant improvement."
After listening to Coulson's explanation, Nick Fury thought for a moment before speaking, "But his mentality isn't mature yet. Once he gains immense power, I'm concerned he might become dangerous."
Coulson, however, continued, "Director, we have Hawkeye Barton and the ninja Kabuto on our side now. Their combined strength should be able to keep the enhanced Liu Haoran in check."
"After all, he's just a street magician who hasn't been trained. Even if he has great power, he might not necessarily be able to wield it effectively."
Nick Fury nodded and said, "I'll consider your suggestion. We're almost done gathering Vibranium, so we should be able to trade for the strengthening serum from the Hidden Sand soon."
"When you go to verify the intelligence later, you can mention this to them, and we can arrange the trade with them next week."
"Understood, Director!"
Coulson nodded and didn't linger in Nick Fury's office, he left directly. He needed to go to the Puppet Shop of the Hidden Sand Village to verify the intelligence.
As Coulson left, Nick Fury stood up from his chair and walked to the large floor-to-ceiling window, watching the setting sun outside. Yet, in his heart, he couldn't help but think about the ninjas.
He was worried now. Originally, he thought the ninjas were a force native to Earth, but given the current situation, it might not be the case. These ninjas might be infiltrating Earth.
Once they realized that Earth posed no threat, a planet where life could thrive would be such a huge temptation. They might not hesitate to consider occupying it.
The threat level of the ninjas increased once again in Nick Fury's mind.
Earth needed its own strength!
