Chapter 425 - Chapter 424: The Beginning of Suppressing Rebellion

During the summoning process, a piece of information was left in Pakura's mind.

This information included the address of the Sand Puppet Shop, as well as the details of Kankuro, Temari, and Gaara. Pakura was requested to go to the Sand Puppet Shop to support the three of them.

With Charles's confirmation, the scene of the cosmic sky appeared before Pakura once again. The view gradually narrowed and finally landed on Earth, specifically on the islands of Japan.

Looking at the location where Pakura was summoned, Charles's mouth twitched. It seemed that Nick Fury's misunderstanding couldn't be easily dispelled.

...

With both ninjas properly arranged, Charles glanced at his room and realized it was time for him to depart. He then headed towards Training Room 1.

Entering the training room, which was currently unoccupied, Charles began constructing the Merlin magic array leading to Asgard.

As the magic array was completed, Charles activated the formation. His chakra was instantly sucked by the array.

Accompanied by a strong radiance, Charles's figure disappeared from the training room, leaving only the scorched marks on the ground, indicating someone had used the Merlin magic array here.

...

Asgard-

The Merlin magic array that Charles had previously constructed as a landing point was now guarded by a team of soldiers to ensure it wouldn't be accidentally damaged by unaware children.

With the flashing radiance of the formation, Charles arrived in Asgard. Just as he arrived, he heard the hearty voice of Thor.

"Haha, as expected, you've come today and didn't keep me waiting too long."

Glancing at the Asgardian soldiers around and Thor, who looked pleased while holding Mjolnir, Charles greeted, "Hey, Thor, long time no see!"

"Charles, come with me. My father, King Odin, is waiting for you."

Charles nodded and followed Thor towards the palace. On the way, Thor spoke in a low voice, "Charles, have you seen my girlfriend, Jane? Is she doing well down there?"

Seeing Thor's concern for Jane, Charles smiled and replied, "Jane is fine. I've dispatched a team to protect her. No one on Earth will dare to bully her."

"As for her personally, I haven't seen her, but according to my subordinates, she has been searching for the Rainbow Bridge and the Energy Storm. It seems she really wants to see you."

Upon hearing that Jane was being protected by Charles's subordinates and was safe, Thor felt relieved. However, when he heard that Jane was looking for the Rainbow Bridge, his happiness faded a bit.

But before he could be too disappointed, Thor expressed some helplessness, "Unfortunately, I destroyed the Rainbow Bridge, so I won't be able to see Jane."

Charles looked at Thor with surprise. Didn't King Odin inform Thor that the Rainbow Bridge can restored with the Space Stone?

Then, considering the situation, if King Odin had informed Thor to acquire the Space Stone on Earth, instantly restoring the Rainbow Bridge, Thor's focus might have shifted from the rebellion in the Nine Realms to how to seize the Cosmic Cube from S.H.I.E.L.D.

At the same time, Charles speculated that King Odin intentionally did not inform everyone that the Rainbow Bridge could be repaired. This might be a strategy to lure out those in the Nine Realms with rebellious intentions.

By doing so while he was still alive, it would help Thor clear the final obstacles, allowing him to smoothly ascend to the throne and take control of the Nine Realms.

"There's always a way, isn't there?"

Hearing Charles's words, Thor looked at him. He remembered Heimdall had said something similar to him.

"I hope so. But the Nine Realms are not peaceful right now. We need to suppress all those enemies who are plotting against us."

Charles nodded without saying much more. Soon, the two arrived at the grand hall of the celestial palace.

"Father, I have brought the Supreme Merlin, Charles," Thor announced.

King Odin, seated on the throne in the hall, spoke upon seeing Charles, "Welcome to Asgard, Supreme Merlin."

"Greetings, King Odin!"

Odin nodded and then asked, "Has anything changed regarding our previous agreement?"

Charles nodded, "There have been no changes to the agreement, King Odin."

"I wonder which realms in the Nine Realms are currently in rebellion and require Thor and me to suppress it," Charles inquired.

Odin then explained, "With the destruction of the Rainbow Bridge, apart from Nidavellir and Midgard, the other six realms have become restless. The first realm to initiate rebellion is Jotunheim."

Hearing Odin's words, Thor, astonished, shouted, "Impossible! King Laufey of the Frost Giants was just killed by Loki not long ago, and the Rainbow Bridge even hit them. How dare they rebel?"

"Moreover, how could they have the capability to rebel?" Thor questioned.

Odin looked at Thor and continued, "The death of King Laufey did not plunge the Frost Giants into chaos. On the contrary, due to the Rainbow Bridge's bombardment, they became unusually united. The rebellion is now led by the Mountain Giants within Jotunheim."

"Upon learning of the damage to the Rainbow Bridge, they started planning multiple attacks, rallying the Frost Giants for a coordinated assault."

Hearing Odin's words, Charles furrowed his brows slightly. Jotunheim was the home of both the Mountain Giants and the Frost Giants. The environment was harsh, filled with rugged terrain, cliffs, barren forests, and icy plains.

Upon hearing that the rebellion was led by the Mountain Giants and not the Frost Giants, Thor, who was standing beside Charles, opened his mouth but didn't say anything.

After all, Loki had intended to directly shatter Jotunheim with the Rainbow Bridge. Although the initial attack targeted the Frost Giant territory, it inevitably angered the Mountain Giants as well.

"In addition to this, Alfheim (Land of Light - the Elven Kingdom), Vanaheim (Ancient and Wise Vanir god Kingdom) has also started a rebellion."

"Helheim (Realm of the Dead) and Muspelheim (Land of Flame) are showing signs of unrest and may join the rebellion army at any time."

Hearing that three realms were currently in turmoil, and the other two were brewing unrest, Charles calculated for a moment. If he were to visit all five realms, he could select five treasures from Asgard's treasury as a reward for the mission. This number was two less than his initial expectation of seven.

But after thinking about it, the Dark Elves were still in hibernation, and the Dwarves were loyal followers of the Aesir gods. There was no possibility of rebellion in these realms.

Five was still a good number; he just had to choose the most valuable rewards when the time came.

"King Odin, then let's start suppressing the rebellion, beginning with Jotunheim!"

[The Nine Realms are divided as follows:

Asgard (Realm of the Aesir gods)Vanaheim (Ancient and Wise Vanir god Kingdom)Alfheim (Land of Light - the Elven Kingdom)Nidavellir (Land of the Dwarves)Midgard (Realm of Humans)Jotunheim (Realm of the Frost Giants and Mountain Giants)Svartalfheim (Land of the Dark Elves)Helheim (Realm of the Dead)Muspelheim (Land of Flame)]
