Chapter 298 - Chapter 298: I Did It

"Sizzle, sizzle, crackle, crackle"

The plasma current intertwined in the air as Tony lay on the ground, looking at Ivan approaching through the rearview mirror of the overturned race car. He quickly got up, executed a jump, and rolled on the ground to create distance.

"Boom!"

At this moment, Ivan swung his whip on the ground, igniting the gasoline with the plasma current, causing the car to explode and flames to soar into the sky.

Fortunately, Tony had managed to evade, avoiding significant injuries. However, his racing suit on his arm caught fire, and Tony hurriedly patted out the flames as he stood up.

Ivan, with a toothpick in his mouth, watched Tony with interest. A faint smile appeared on his lips as he slowly approached Tony, resembling a cat closing in on a mouse, confident of victory.

On the other side, Happy, driving a Rolls-Royce with Pepper Potts inside, had already entered the race track.

Observing the enemy attacking Tony, Happy honked his horn, signaling Tony to take cover. Then, he accelerated towards Ivan, ramming him against the track barrier and rendering him unconscious.

Tony, who had jumped onto the barrier, sighed in relief and climbed down.

From the car, Happy stuck his head out, shouting, "Are you okay?"

"I'm fine."

Looking at the scene, Tsunade in the audience seats remarked with some boredom, "Is it over?"

"Not yet, but it's almost there," replied Charles, indifferent.

Tony walked to the driver's seat where Happy was, saying, "I can't tell if you wanted to hit me or him."

"I just wanted to scare him."

Pepper Potts, seated in the back, took a deep breath and yelled at Tony in anger, "Are you insane?"

"I was under attack, I need better security personnel," Tony continued, "You're a CEO, you need it too."

Happy in the driver's seat shouted, "Get in quickly."

While complaining, Tony circled around the car, preparing to get in from the other side. "Embarrassing first vacation in two years."

Just as Tony had just pulled open the car door, a whip suddenly lashed over, slicing the door into two. This sudden scene made Tony release the door handle, and the door fell to the ground.

At this moment, inside the car, Pepper Potts screamed again, while Happy quickly restarted the vehicle, reversed, accelerated, and then continued to ram towards Ivan Vanko.

"Hit him!" Tony shouted, pointing at the car, "Hit him again, one more time!"

On the side, Tony saw the box in Pepper's hands and immediately said, "Give me the box."

Happy also chimed in, "Quick, give him the box."

In the midst of the chaos, Pepper yelled, "Don't hit him again!"

Obviously, Pepper was still in a state of panic, with her words, thoughts, and actions not aligning.

Tony looked at the frantic Pepper and reminded her, "Stay calm!"

However, the back-and-forth collisions caused the airbag in the driver's seat to pop out, narrowly avoiding knocking Happy unconscious. Taking advantage of this opportunity, Ivan struck the vehicle with his whip, slicing it in half.

Pepper Potts extended her hands and shouted loudly, "Oh my God!"

"Give me the box, quickly!"

Pepper Potts finally reacted, hastily throwing the box in her arms. It landed right at Tony's feet.

Tony stepped on the box, instantly unlocking it. He placed his hands on the arm interfaces that popped out of the box and swiftly suited up in the Iron Man armor.

In no time, the armor was fully equipped, and Iron Man made his official entrance.

People who hadn't left the audience seats cheered at the sight of Tony completing his transformation into Iron Man.

Tony looked at the Rolls-Royce in front of Ivan, stepped onto the position above the rear wheel, and kicked the car away. He then turned to face Ivan, extending his arm to prepare for a repulsor blast.

Just as the repulsor was charging, Ivan swung his whip, interrupting Tony's attack. Tony switched palms to continue the attack, but Ivan's whip struck his chest.

At this moment, the display screen in front of Tony immediately started beeping with malfunction codes. Malfunctions were rapidly appearing.

Tony attempted another repulsor blast, and although he managed to fire two in a row, Ivan deflected them with his whip, causing no harm.

One of Ivan's whips entwined around one of Tony's arms, and the other wrapped around his neck. With a forceful pull, Ivan dragged Tony towards him, flipping him onto the ground and then onto the front of a nearby stationary car.

With another forceful pull, Ivan yanked Tony to the ground. Witnessing the effectiveness of his attacks, a smile appeared on Ivan's lips, confident in his victory.

At this point, Tony was half-kneeling on the ground, observing various error codes on the virtual screen in front of him. However, he had an idea.

Standing up, he grabbed the whip coiled around his neck, wrapped it around himself, and steadily approached Ivan.

Seeing this, Ivan quickly waved his other whip to block Tony's approach, but he was unsuccessful.

Soon, Tony stood in front of Ivan, unleashing a series of punches, knocking him down. Following that, Tony seized the opportunity for payback, slamming Ivan onto the ground.

Tony removed the entangled whip, approached the fallen Ivan, and then forcefully removed the reactor on Ivan's chest.

Seeing Tony subduing the enemy, several heavily armed special police officers rushed forward, restraining Ivan Vanko and placing him under arrest.

As the special police officers dragged Ivan away, he didn't resist. Instead, he grinned and shouted, "You lost, Stark! Hahaha!"

"You lost, Charles Doyle!"

He then glanced at the audience section and shouted loudly, "I did it, Charles Doyle!"

Listening to Ivan Vanko's words, Tony, still in the suit, furrowed his brows slightly. He glanced at the rudimentary Arc reactor in his hand, scanned the data through J.A.R.V.I.S., and then crushed it directly.

Inside the hotel, Justin Hammer, watching the live broadcast, revealed a greedy smile, discovering a new opportunity.

Meanwhile, Charles, sitting in the stands, remained indifferent to Ivan Vanko's words. What did it matter if he achieved something? He wasn't interested in the Arc reactor; what he cared about was the rechargeable energy.
