Chapter 111 - Chapter 111: Erica

While Charles Doyle was in the system practice space, experimenting with his latest defense and attack capabilities, he was unaware that the agency had just welcomed a new guest.

A figure in red, with an alluring figure, entered the agency without leaving a trace. After entering, she subtly observed everything within the agency.

When Erica walked up to the service desk, Iruka Umino, in the reception, inquired, "Miss, do you have a request or mission to submit?"

Erica, wearing a sweet smile, asked curiously, "I lost something and I wonder if I can file a request here?"

Hearing that it was a lost item request, Iruka felt somewhat disappointed as this would likely be a D-rank mission.

However, they were a professional service agency, and they would not reject a client's legitimate request, especially someone like Iruka Umino, who came from Konoha.

"For a lost item request, we do accept them at Charles's Agency, but please note that our prices are not low."

"If the item is relatively cheap for you or doesn't hold much sentimental value, we don't recommend you to file the request here."

Upon hearing Iruka's well-intentioned advice, Erica replied earnestly, "Money is not an issue, this item is extremely important to me."

Seeing her determination, Iruka did not insist further and asked, "Miss, how may I address you?"

"Erica!"

"Alright, Miss Erica, please follow me."

Iruka walked away from the service desk, leading Erica to one of the guest rooms.

Once seated in the guest room, Iruka took out a blank mission scroll and placed it in front of Erica, saying, "Miss, please tell me the specific details of your request."

After a thorough discussion, Erica placed a $100,000 mission order to find a special watch that was very important to her.

After signing the mission order, Erica asked somewhat embarrassedly before making the payment, "Could you please tell me where the restroom is?"

Iruka directed Erica to the restroom. After she left for the restroom, he waited in the lobby.

Inside the restroom, Erica, with a swift and delicate movement, began to observe the ventilation duct above her. She then flushed the toilet, creating some noise, and removed the cover from the ventilation opening before entering it.

Following the ventilation duct, Erica made her way through it, gaining a rough understanding of the agency's internal structure and the areas the ducts led to. She also found the location where the ventilation duct connected to the outside.

With a similar timeframe in mind, Erica returned to the restroom. After making some simple adjustments to put back the cover on the ventilation opening, she walked out slowly.

"Sir, can I pay by card?"

Erica held a bank card in her hand as she approached the counter.

Iruka took out a POS machine from the counter and gestured to Erica that card payment was accepted.

She swiped her card, settled the payment for the mission, and then left Charles's Agency with the receipt in hand.

As she stepped out of the agency, Erica turned around and gazed deeply at the agency's signboard. She planned to infiltrate the agency tonight at 1 a.m., the time when people were sound asleep, to seek revenge for her master.

On this quiet New York night, Forrest Hills' 71st Avenue in Queens was neither the Hell's Kitchen, known for its deserted streets at night, nor the safest of affluent areas.

However, tonight, the streets were exceptionally quiet, with barely any signs of people after 11 PM.

The Hand's temporary base had already assigned their teams to different attack locations. Alexandra and Murakami were responsible for Charles's Agency, while Bakuto and Sowande were in charge of the New York Continental Hotel.

By the time the Hand's members had assembled, the clock struck midnight.

Alexandra glanced at the clock on the wall and ordered, "Let's move!"

The Hand's members transformed into two groups, heading in different directions.

The Bowery King, who controlled all the beggars and homeless people in New York, he received a message as soon as the streets on Forrest Hills' 71st Avenue were blocked off.

At first, the Bowery King didn't pay much attention, as the government occasionally blocked off streets, and they had often driven the homeless away from the area.

However, when he received news that the street where the New York Continental Hotel was located was also sealed off, he immediately sensed that something was amiss. But by then, it was already too late.

It was midnight.

Charles's Agency had closed for the night, and everyone, including Shizune, had returned to their respective rooms to rest. Even Charles Doyle, who usually worked diligently on chakra refining, had stopped at 11 PM and gone to sleep like everyone else.

At this moment, in an apartment building located approximately a kilometer away from Charles's Agency, a sniper had set up a Croatian RT-20 anti-materiel sniper rifle.

The target was aimed at the entrance of Charles's Agency, ready to attack at any moment.

Meanwhile, armored vehicles and three armored buses arrived at the entrance of Charles's Agency.

The sunroof of the armored vehicle was opened, revealing a Gatling M134 machine gun mounted on the roof, pointed directly at the front door of Charles's Agency.

Alexandra emerged from one of the buses, followed by heavily armed personnel wearing bulletproof vests and helmets.

They were fully equipped for combat, and behind them, a group of 30 heavily armed individuals also dressed in tactical gear followed.

These 30 individuals appeared to be an elite squad, fully equipped with night vision goggles, flashlights, assault rifles, handguns, grenades, and tactical knives. They exuded an aura of professionalism and readiness.

Murakami, on the other hand, disembarked from another bus with 30 trained ninja. Each one of them had bulging muscles and carried weapons such as chains, sickles, short swords, and were experts in close combat assassinations.

Finally, the third bus opened, revealing ordinary Hand members. Although they were labeled as ordinary, they were only relatively less specialized compared to the personnel in the other two buses.

They were still well-equipped with firearms, tactical vests, and bulletproof clothing, giving off a formidable impression.

With all the personnel assembled, Alexandra waved her hand to signal the attack.

A Hand member retrieved an RPG rocket from an arms crate, loaded it, and aimed it at Charles's Agency.

Then pulled the trigger.

"Swish!"

The grenade, with its tail flame, rushed towards the building of Charles's Agency.

"Boom!"

A thunderous explosion instantly rocked the entire block, cars parked on the street started blaring alarms, and the shockwave surged through the area.

Although the building didn't collapse due to its structural integrity, it was severely damaged and left in ruins.
