After Charles Doyle and his group had been gone for half an hour, Abram Tarasov arrived with a group of his men at the outskirts of the Brooklyn factory.
Accompanied by one of his bodyguards who held a black umbrella, Abram entered the factory.
However, both inside and outside the factory, there was an eerie silence.
Abram's strategist approached him and spoke, "They're all dead, none of our guys made it."
Abram's expression twitched, and he said, "Looks like we arrived a bit too late."
"Do you know who did this?"
"Any clues left behind?"
Abram asked two questions in a row.
His strategist paused and then responded, "Abram, you should come and see for yourself."
The bodies of all the deceased had been brought together and arranged neatly on an open space.
Abram walked over, surveying the scene—more than forty bodies in total, some mangled beyond recognition, with limbs piled together, creating an eerie and horrifying atmosphere.
He tightened his coat, trying to ward off the coldness he was feeling.
As he looked at the bodies, he noticed that apart from the three individuals killed by the vault door, the rest had either been blown up or had their throats slit—there were hardly any gunshot wounds.
The strategist approached Abram with a piece of cloth in his hands, on which were laid several shurikens and kunai.
"Abram, we found these on some of the bodies. These should be left by the culprit."
Gazing at the shurikens and kunai, Abram's massive frame trembled slightly.
He muttered to himself, "Ninja..."
Confused by Abram's words, the strategist asked, "What?"
Seeing his strategist's puzzled expression, Abram continued, "The one who carried out this attack is Charles Doyle."
"It's the second legendary assassin to gain a reputation after the Night Devil, John Wick, from the Continental Assassin Hotel."
"He's known as a ninja, primarily using shurikens and kunai as his weapons."
"Relying on these child's play weapons, Charles Doyle wiped out an entire heavily-armed African-American gang."
Upon hearing Abram's explanation, the strategist was clearly taken aback, his mouth gaping in disbelief. It was indeed hard to fathom.
Glancing at the forty or so bodies on the ground, the strategist nodded in a daze. Someone had truly accomplished this.
After all, the evidence was right in front of them; disbelief was no longer an option.
Abram Tarasov spoke at this moment, "What's the result from the basement vault? How much did we lose?"
The strategist hesitated for a moment before speaking, "Everything is gone, there's nothing left except empty boxes."
"Damn it, bastards."
Abram Tarasov cursed, "Damn Roossov, damn Vigo. Look at what kind of people you two have provoked."
After cursing for a while, he instructed, "Leave some people to clean up the scene, the rest of us will go back."
After finishing his orders, Abram Tarasov returned to his car under the escort of three bodyguards.
...
Meanwhile, the cursed big brother Vigo was currently engaged in a fierce battle with John Wick in the pouring rain.
Despite being the leader of a gang, Vigo Tarasov's combat skills were clearly inferior to the professional assassin John Wick. He was at a clear disadvantage in this hand-to-hand fight.
Vigo Tarasov suddenly pulled out a short knife from behind and lunged at the unarmed John Wick.
The two of them exchanged blows for a few rounds, with neither managing to land a hit. In a moment of opportunity, Vigo quickly gripped the short knife and attempted to stab John Wick in the abdomen.
John Wick reacted just in time, catching Vigo's stabbing hand with both of his own. Vigo's hand holding the knife was captured by John Wick, and they were locked in a tense struggle.
Vigo quickly used his other hand to attack John's neck and even grabbed his head.
Despite the brutal blows, John Wick didn't let go of Vigo's grip but instead used Vigo's own hold to guide the knife into his own abdomen.
He then grasped Vigo Tarasov's arm and forcefully snapped it in half.
"Ah~"
The pain from the broken bones caused Vigo Tarasov to scream out, and he staggered back.
Seeing Vigo approaching again, John swiftly counterattacked, landing a punch that pushed Vigo back.
John Wick, who had retreated, glanced at the knife in his abdomen and used both hands to grip the hilt before pulling it out.
As Vigo advanced once again, trying to capitalize on his momentum, John Wick blocked a punch with his arm and simultaneously inserted the knife into Vigo's right shoulder and neck.
Vigo Tarasov was instantly struck at a critical point. In a final counterattack, he landed a punch on the downed John Wick, then instantly lost his strength, collapsing on the ground, clutching the wound on his neck, and gazing silently at John Wick.
At this moment, John Wick also sat down on the ground, both hands pressing on his abdominal wound.
With the knowledge that his time was limited, Vigo Tarasov spoke in the pouring rain, "John, I'll be waiting for you in hell."
John Wick, also clutching his wounded abdomen, replied, "Alright, see you on the other side."
With a great effort, John got up and staggered away into the distance amidst the pouring rain.
Vigo Tarasov closed his eyes.
...
On the other side-
Ginny had driven Charles Doyle to the front of the Chrysler Building. As she parked the car and saw that Charles was about to get out and leave, Ginny spoke up, "Charles, why don't you invite me up for a drink?"
As she spoke, Ginny playfully flicked her golden hair hanging beside her ear, making her look especially alluring.
Charles Doyle glanced at Ginny's inquiring expression and replied as he opened the car door, "Ginny, it's getting late, and we have work tomorrow. You should head back quickly."
With those words, Charles Doyle had already gotten out of the car. He then turned and said to Ginny, "Goodnight, Ginny!"
"Take care on the way back and sweet dreams!"
After saying that, Charles Doyle entered the Chrysler Building.
Still in the sports car, Ginny raised her middle finger toward Charles's retreating figure and muttered, "Bastard."
She then stepped hard on the accelerator, causing the fiery red Ferrari to spin in place, make a quick U-turn, and speed away.
Although Charles Doyle hadn't witnessed what was happening behind him, he could still guess what was going on based on Ginny's frustrated reaction.
