Henry continued, "Listen, evil is a shadow that exists outside our world..."
"They constantly search for ways to enter the human world, just to find a suitable flesh and blood vessel."
As the two talked, Ahmanet quietly recited a spell. Soon, a small spider was summoned from the ventilation duct.
Seeing the crawling spider, Ahmanet's lips curled slightly.
Meanwhile, Henry continued, "Either we wait for the day they descend upon us."
"Or we can fight them in our own way."
Henry pointed to the head of a werewolf hanging above and said, "This is the head of a werewolf, a dark creature of evil, successfully hunted by us."
Then he pointed to a red crystal on top and said, "This is a vampire we killed. It's the crystallization left behind in its body after death."
Hearing Henry's description of these two items, Nick paused for a moment. "Heavens, are vampire and werewolf legends real?"
Henry nodded, turning to Nick. "Evil has always lurked around us, just not discovered by the public."
"And this reminds me of you."
Nick looked at Henry, thinking that he had thought of a way to lift his curse. He said, "Me?"
"Great, Doctor. You mean you can cure me of this curse and rid me of it."
"So, let's get started, Doctor."
"Oh, by the way, what's your plan?"
Seeing Nick's excitement, Henry frowned slightly. "Mr. Morton, this matter is very complicated."
Nick said, "Really? I'm fine with it."
Seeing Nick say this, Henry explained, "When a person offers redemption to humanity, certain sacrifices must be made."
As the two talked, a SHIELD agent walked in.
"Sorry to interrupt, sir."
The agent nodded to Henry as he entered, and Henry immediately understood. He said, "They found him."
Nick, puzzled, asked, "Found what?"
Jenny also walked over and exclaimed, "Henry."
"Are you planning to kill him?"
Nick asked in confusion, "Kill who?"
"Jenny, who are you talking about?"
Henry looked at Jenny and said, "Jenny, when Mr. Morton broke those protective chains in the ancient tomb with a gun, he essentially sealed his fate."
"These chains have been imprisoning the power of Ahmanet for 5,000 years."
"And he was chosen to be her best candidate, a thief who entered the tomb to steal, his body functions forcibly altered, his soul completely lost."
Nick couldn't understand Henry's words. "What?"
Jenny, on the other hand, understood and exclaimed, "Heavens, do you want to put the gem back on the dagger and stab him with it?"
Henry explained, "The dagger will allow Set to enter his body, and then we will destroy it."
At this point, Nick also realized what was happening and exclaimed excitedly, "Wait, wait..."
"You want to stab me with that thing, for real?"
Henry nodded, "That's how the ancient Egyptians did it."
"Listen, they interrupted the ritual, and that's the mistake we can't afford to make again."
At this moment, Henry felt something was off with his body. The evil within him was resurging, prompting him to quickly walk towards the desk. He needed to continue injecting himself with the antidote for relief.
However, Ahmanet's arrival only accelerated the revival of the evil within him, shortening the intervals between its resurgences.
Nick frowned and asked in confusion, "Is this the plan, Henry?"
But Jenny countered, "You won't succeed."
As they argued, on the other side, the bound Ahmanet quietly controlled a small spider, which silently crawled into the body of a SHIELD agent responsible for injecting mercury.
As the spider crawled into the agent's ear, his pupils disappeared, leaving only the whites of his eyes.
Henry continued to load the syringe with the antidote while saying quickly, "It's imminent, we don't have much time left."
"Unfortunately, this is the risk we must take."
Nick still couldn't believe it. "Is this really your plan?"
"Ahmanet said your curse cannot be broken."
"I'm truly sorry, Mr. Morton, but no matter what I do, you will die."
"If evil is like cholera, a deadly contagious disease, entering our souls through this method, and the world needs treatment, then you are the antidote."
Nick waved his hand. "Stop talking."
Henry continued, "For the greater good, you must make sacrifices!"
Nick refused. "I'm not interested at all."
At this moment, Henry had just finished loading the syringe when sudden pain made him grunt, and the syringe slipped from his hand, rolling towards Nick's direction.
Seeing the syringe on the desk, Nick thought it was important to Henry and grabbed it.
A nearby agent shouted, "Don't!"
Henry reached out his palm. "Quickly... give me the syringe."
But Nick ignored Henry's request and held the syringe in his hand, saying to Henry, "Okay, we don't have much time. Let's all come up with a new plan. I believe under the new plan, we can still solve the curse problem."
At this point, another agent's face changed, and he immediately pulled Jenny aside nervously, saying, "We need to go."
Henry stood on the other side of the desk, trembling. "You have no idea what you're doing."
But Nick said, "Really?"
"I know exactly what I'm doing."
Just then, Henry Jekyll suddenly straightened up, his voice becoming hoarse, and runes similar to Ferrel's appeared on his face.
Sensing something amiss, Nick realized his mistake and immediately placed the syringe on the table, saying quickly, "Here, take it."
Meanwhile, the SHIELD agents had already pulled Jenny away.
Henry regained some sanity and tried to inject himself with the syringe, saying, "Run, Mr. Morton."
"What?"
"Run!"
After Henry shouted, it was already too late for him to inject himself. He could only use the last of his strength to press the red button on the table.
Immediately, an alarm sounded in the room, and all the doors began to close automatically.
Nick, who was trying to escape, was slower than Jenny and the others and was locked inside the room without being able to run out in time.
After Jenny ran out and saw that Nick hadn't followed, she shouted to the agent beside her, "Open the door, Nick hasn't come out yet."
But the agent shook his head. "You'll regret it if you do."
Jenny looked at the partially closed side door and immediately ran towards it.
Seeing Jenny running, the nearby agent chased after her, shouting, "Stop, Jenny, stop!"
Inside the office, Nick, who hadn't managed to escape, immediately turned to see the doctor, who had completely changed his demeanor, now resembling a villain.
Nick approached Henry, pushing him against the door and delivering several elbow strikes to his head. Then, he grabbed Henry's hand and pressed it against the fingerprint unlock screen.
Beep. Identifying.
Eddie Hyde. Identification failed.
Henry, pushed against the door, chuckled, "Haha, they won't let me out. They won't open the door for the demon."
Then, Henry reached back, grabbed Nick by the back of his head, and slammed his head onto the touch screen, shattering it.
Next, he pushed Nick backward, sending him flying out and crashing to the ground.
Transformed into Eddie Hyde, Henry stood over Nick with his hands on his hips, looking somewhat mocking.
…
On the other side-
A SHIELD agent responsible for monitoring Ahmanet's body data exclaimed in surprise, "Wow, what's going on?"
"Pete, did you just shut off the mercury?" he asked, immediately looking towards Pete, who was supposed to be at his workstation but was now missing, instead wielding a fire axe.
Meanwhile, Coulson arrived at the gates of the London SHIELD office with Kabuto, getting out of the car and telling Kabuto, "This is the London Department. Let's go see the supervisor, Henry, and find out what they've obtained."
Kabuto pushed up his glasses, looked up at the building in front of him, and chuckled, "Hopefully, there won't be any trouble."
…
Back in the office, Henry was toying with Nick, saying with a laugh, "You're too naive."
"You need to learn to defend yourself against people like me."
Nick tried to attack Henry, but his punches did nothing, and Henry managed to lock him in a chokehold.
"Hahaha, Morton, I don't want to kill you, it's Henry."
"I want more cooperation between us. What do you say?"
Nick struggled against him, but he was still no match and was knocked to the ground by Eddie Hyde.
Seeing Nick on the ground, Henry chuckled and said, "You're too green."
"I'll give you a chance to cooperate. You become the embodiment of evil, and I, Eddie Hyde, will be your friend."
"Think about it."
On the other side, Jenny, who had rushed in, arrived at the study next to the office, separated from it by only a glass door.
Jenny picked up a fire extinguisher and smashed it against the glass door, but it had no effect. SHIELD was prepared, and the door was made of bulletproof glass.
Agents who arrived quickly from behind restrained Jenny and told her not to cause any more damage.
Nick got up from the ground and tried to resist again but was once again knocked down by Eddie Hyde.
As Nick got up from the ground, he saw the syringe on the desk and immediately tried to grab it but was pinned down by Henry.
"Hurry up, kid, consider my proposal."
"I am the creator of chaos, the destroyer."
Nick was pinned down by the opponent on the table for a while, but he also took the opportunity to grab the syringe and plunged it into Henry's chest.
"Ah!"
Henry cried out in pain, and then the demonic patterns on his face began to fade away. Regaining his sanity, Henry said, "Well done, Mr. Morton, well done."
Nick, feeling annoyed after being beaten up by Henry just now, took advantage of the moment to grab Henry and throw him out.
Meanwhile, Ahmanet, who was being detained, immediately vomited as the machines stopped operating, spewing a large amount of mercury from her mouth onto the floor.
With the power facilities of the London Department completely destroyed and backup power not yet activated, all the closed electronic doors lost their function. Jenny also rushed in after knocking out the agent.
Jenny said to Nick, "Hurry, we need to destroy the gem on the dagger."
"What?"
Jenny explained, "Without the gem, there's no ritual, and there's no curse."
"Really?"
"Yes, I know where it is."
Nick immediately followed Jenny as they ran outside. The sudden turmoil had caused chaos in the London Department, with fires breaking out.
…
Coulson had just entered the building but hadn't reached the interior when he suddenly heard the alarm. As he descended underground, the lights in the corridor went out instantly.
Realizing that something was wrong, Coulson pulled out a handgun and turned to the team of agents behind him, saying, "Stay alert."
Then he looked at Kabuto and said, "You were right, trouble's coming."
Kabuto smiled awkwardly and quickly pulled out a kunai from his pouch, holding it in his hand.
Then Coulson led them slowly towards the interior of the Bowman Department.
…
On the other side-
Nick and Jenny ran out, rushing to the second floor via the stairs. Nick looked at Ahmanet, who was still bound, and immediately felt a pang of compassion.
Ahmanet's gaze towards Nick also changed, as if waiting for him to come to the rescue.
But Jenny pushed Nick forward without hesitation, continuing to run ahead. With Nick being pushed away, Ahmanet was left behind.
Seeing Nick leave, Ahmanet let out a furious roar, as if her man had followed someone else, and then she exerted all her strength to break free from the iron chains binding her.
Under Ahmanet's efforts, all the iron chains around her body, both front and back, were broken.
