Chapter 383 - Chapter 382: Plotting

As Coulson was about to say something, he noticed that the hourglass on the table had completely run out. He spoke up, "Bring me another puppet doll."

Temari nodded, casually flipping the hourglass back over.

"Do ninja villages not apprehend rogue ninjas? Isn't this considered a criminal act?" Coulson asked.

"Yes, rogue ninjas are placed on the kill list of the ninja villages, and special squads are sent to capture them," Temari explained.

"So, he won't receive any protection from Hidden Steam Village."

Temari paused for a moment before saying, "As for his strength... I don't know the details. However, generally, if a ninja successfully escapes from their village, their strength shouldn't be weak."

"But Hidden Steam Village is a small ninja village, and the strength of the ninjas there may be relatively weak."

"As for waiting for the ninjas from Hidden Steam Village to pursue him, it might take a while."

Hearing Temari's response, Coulson's eyes lit up. A relatively weak strength, not protected by the ninja village—this presented an opportunity for S.H.I.E.L.D.

"As for why he behaves this way, I'm not sure," Temari continued. "Perhaps, only after you come into contact with him and inquire, will you be able to find out."

"And as for how to stop him..."

Temari didn't say it explicitly, but her meaningful smile seemed to convey everything.

Coulson nodded, understanding Temari's implication. Defeating or killing the opponent would ultimately put an end to his actions.

By now, the hourglass on the table had completely stopped. Coulson didn't place a mission to capture Hidan in the Sunagakure Puppet Shop.

Instead, he stood up and said, "Thank you very much for enlightening me, Miss Temari."

"Here are one hundred energy blocks."

Temari took out two puppet dolls from behind the service desk and handed them to Coulson.

Seeing the two puppet dolls in his hands, Coulson curiously asked, "Do these items have any special functions?"

Temari smiled and said, "These are just toys. If they had special abilities, the price wouldn't be like this."

Coulson nodded thoughtfully. Without further delay at the puppet shop, he bid farewell to Temari and left.

He needed to deliver the obtained information to Director Nick Fury. This was an excellent opportunity to uncover the secrets of the ninja world.

Returning to the Triskelion, Coulson went straight to Nick Fury's office. Upon opening the door, he found not only Director Nick Fury but also Hawkeye Barton inside.

Seeing Coulson return, Nick Fury spoke, "Did you inquire about the intelligence?"

Coulson nodded but glanced at Barton on the side.

Nick Fury said, "The intelligence given to you was brought back by Hawkeye."

"He has the clearance to know the details of this information."

"Understood, Director!"

Coulson first reported the information about the werewolves, the intelligence he obtained from Charles agency.

After finishing, he added,

"Based on Selene's understanding of the werewolf's intelligence and her unfamiliarity with ninja related information, I suspect there's a high possibility that Selene herself is a werewolf."

"That's why she's so knowledgeable about werewolf and knows that these werewolves have all joined Charles."

However, Nick Fury rubbed his chin, contemplating why Coulson hadn't seen Charles this time.

"Did Selene say when we could meet Charles?" Nick Fury suddenly asked about Charles.

Coulson hesitated for a moment before answering, "She didn't mention that. She only said that Charles Doyle doesn't come to Charles Agency every day."

"Their base has already been established, and Charles's permanent residence should have moved from the agency to the base."

"At some point, visit Charles at the base, and bring a gift to congratulate him on the completion of the base."

"As for the issue with Jane, since Charles has accepted the commission from the Thor, let them handle this hot potato."

"Tell Charles that if they are responsible for protecting Jane, then the safety of Jane is their responsibility. If any problems arise, they should bear the responsibility."

Obviously, Nick Fury believed in Charles accepting the commission from Thor. Based on previous intelligence and Charles's relationship with the ninja villages and Asgard, the likelihood of this was very high.

"As for the identities of the four werewolves who attacked S.H.I.E.L.D. agents, and the identities of Selene and others..."

"Arrange for personnel to investigate. Start looking into their contacts before they appeared at Charles Agency. I don't believe they're like ninjas, leaving no trace of information."

"Since Charles has werewolves with extraordinary abilities by his side, there must be werewolves in the outside world. Unless every single one of them has joined Charles Doyle."

Coulson nodded, "Understood, Director. I will arrange for personnel to investigate."

"How about the intelligence on Hidan?"

Hearing the director mention the intelligence on Hidan, Coulson's face showed a hint of a smile.

"Director, the intelligence on Hidan is good news for us."

"Why do you say that?"

At this point, Barton, who had been silent all along, also turned his gaze to Coulson, wondering what kind of news could be considered good.

Coulson went on to explain all the information he obtained from Temari. As soon as he finished, Barton excitedly spoke up, "Director, doesn't this mean we can capture him?"

Nick Fury didn't directly answer Barton's question. Instead, after pondering for a moment, he said, "Are you sure the ninja villages won't intervene?"

"Will we be having ninjas from Hidden Steam Village come forward, claiming that he's their ninja, seeking justice..."

Hearing the director's speculation, Coulson also thought for a moment before saying, "Director, Temari has no reason to deceive us."

"We can even task Sunagakure Puppet Shop or Charles Agency to handle this, but if we do that, we will lose the opportunity to explore the secrets of the ninjas."

"Only by capturing him ourselves can we obtain some information that normal channels cannot provide, especially regarding the practice of chakra."

When Coulson mentioned chakra, a glint seemed to flash in Nick Fury's eyes.

Chakra was a secret that Nick Fury had been unable to figure out. They only knew that ninjas were so powerful because of the existence of chakra. If they could capture Hidan, didn't it mean...
