Chapter 366 - Chapter 366: Grant Ward

The Crow Puppet was quickly debugged by Kankuro, and he performed some simple operations in the lab.

The modified puppet showed no problems in its movements. However, Kankuro discovered an issue: the kunai made of titanium-gold alloy had a significant deficiency in Chakra conductivity.

This problem was noticed by Kankuro after Tony went out, and so he decided to focus more on using Chakra manipulation and triggering mechanisms for attacks by the Crow Puppet.

For advanced puppets with ninjutsu and evasion techniques, using metal with poor Chakra conductivity would have significant disadvantages for a puppeteer, making it less cost-effective.

However, for basic puppets made of titanium-gold alloy, they would still be powerful assistance for lower-ranking ninja, especially in terms of toughness and sharpness.

"I'll go out and test its power!"

Kankuro, with the newly upgraded Crow Puppet, arrived at the edge of the cliff outside the villa. He moved his fingers slightly, and in the next second, the Crow Puppet rushed into the air, releasing a laser from its eye towards the rocks in the sea.

"Boom!"

The rocks hit by the laser instantly exploded on the sea's surface, and this was just the effect of a basic-level attack.

Looking at the damage caused, Kankuro nodded in satisfaction. He was very pleased because the energy consumption for himself was almost negligible. It only required Chakra threads to touch the switch to achieve this.

The only downside was the energy source. He couldn't manufacture it, and technologies not under his control couldn't be considered a long-term trump card; they were just a temporary boost to his strength.

With this in mind, Kankuro didn't value the laser attack's ability that much. What was crucial to him was the development and manufacture of puppets and the cultivation of toxins.

After all, the toxins in the ninja world were unique, and there hadn't been any methods to counteract them in this world. While Kankuro believed that people in this world had the ability to deal with them, it would take time to develop countermeasures.

Bringing the puppet back to the villa, Tony asked, "How's it going? How effective is it?"

Kankuro touched the Crow Puppet and smiled, "Very powerful, and the attack is good."

Tony pointed to the side where the KFC family meal was placed, saying, "Since the test is over, have some food first."

Kankuro didn't stand on ceremony and picked up a hamburger and a cola, starting to eat.

Tony saw Kankuro eating and went to the nearby workstation. He took out a box from a drawer, containing a row of Arc Reactors.

After some thought, he took one out, placed it in a separate box, and walked to Kankuro. He placed it on the table.

"I'm giving you one. This way, when the energy is depleted, you can replace it. If you need more reactors in the future, you can contact Charles. He has ordered this item from me."

Looking at the small iron box in front of him, Kankuro knew what it was and swallowed the hamburger in his mouth.

"Thank you."

Kankuro didn't refuse Tony's kindness, but he wouldn't regard this means as his ultimate trump card. He knew the importance of developing his own strength and not relying solely on external help.

After finishing the hamburger, Kankuro had a brief chat with Tony and then took his leave. He gained a lot of knowledge about materials during their conversation. He learned that the most magical material was vibranium.

Tony's father and others had used it to create a shield. Kankuro was intrigued by its properties. Unfortunately, Tony didn't possess any vibranium, making titanium-gold alloy the most suitable material at the moment.

Kankuro really wanted to test vibranium's conductivity for Chakra transmission.

Outside the Sunagakure Puppet Shop-

Inside a RV, Grant Ward, a Level 7 agent of S.H.I.E.L.D., was currently disguising himself. He applied an electrostatic disguise veil to his face, transforming his appearance completely.

Even those familiar with Grant Ward wouldn't recognize him. This technology allowed the wearer to imitate anyone.

After completing the transformation, Ward touched the earpiece in his ear and spoke, "Ready for action."

"All the cameras on the street where the puppet shop is located have been taken over. You won't appear in the footage. You can proceed," a voice came through his earpiece.

Hearing the instructions, Ward picked up a prepared suitcase and left the caravan. Upon arriving, he headed straight to the Sunagakure Puppet Shop. After pushing open the large door, he glanced at the shop's interior and spotted Temari sitting at the service counter.

Ward was well-versed in the information about the Sunagakure Puppet Shop's three occupants.

The records were minimal, and considering the terrifying power of manipulating tornadoes demonstrated in the video, he thought to himself that maybe ninjas were indeed monsters.

As Ward entered, he immediately caught Temari's attention. Today, apart from Agent Coulson's visit, the shop hadn't seen many customers.

This was partly because the new shop didn't attract much interest, and partly due to the high prices and purchasing restrictions.

Seeing the man approaching, Temari took note of the suitcase in his hand, a different one from the one Agent Coulson carried.

"Welcome to the Sunagakure Puppet Shop. How may we assist you?" Temari greeted.

The moment Ward reached the counter, he eagerly took out a photo of Charles Doyle at a press conference and said, "Are you also a ninja? I noticed your headgear is different from theirs."

Temari's gaze lingered on Ward's face for a while. After seeing that he seemed a bit embarrassed, she spoke, "We are all ninjas, but we are from the Sand Village, so our headgear symbols are different."

Upon hearing Temari openly admit to being a ninja, Ward was somewhat surprised but continued to inquire, "What services do you provide here? Are they similar to those at Charles Agency?"

"We specialize in puppetry here, mainly selling puppet dolls. We can provide services similar to Charles's Agency, but the prices are not cheap."

Hearing that they could offer similar services, Ward immediately placed the suitcase on the counter and opened it, revealing its contents.
