Chapter 339 - Chapter 339: Fearless Assassins

After shattering the Destroyer armor, Thor walked towards the group.

Jane looked at Thor and exclaimed, "Is this your usual attire?"

"Pretty much."

"It looks great."

Thor turned to his friends and said, "Let's go to the Rainbow Bridge location. I need to have a talk with my brother."

Agent Coulson arrived at the scene in a car and immediately approached Thor, apologizing, "I'm sorry."

Coulson walked up to Thor and said, "You didn't tell me the truth."

"I am the son of Odin. We fight for the same purpose, to protect this world."

"From now on, as long as you return what belongs to Jane, you can consider me your ally."

Hearing that it was as simple as returning Jane's belongings, Coulson's heart was overjoyed.

"It was borrowed, and of course, it can be returned. You can continue your research," Coulson replied.

Upon hearing Coulson's words, a smile appeared on Jane's face.

Thor turned to Jane and said, "Do you want to see the Rainbow Bridge we talked about?"

"Of course."

Thor hugged Jane and lifted his hammer, flying out.

Coulson shouted, "Wait, I need to ask you for details."

Thor, carrying Jane, arrived at the landing point of the Rainbow Bridge. Soon, the rest of the Asgardian group also caught up.

"Heimdall!"

Thor shouted to the sky, but there was no response. He awkwardly looked back at Jane.

"Heimdall!"

"If you can hear us, we need you."

Heimdall, frozen by Loki at the gate, stood with two Frost Giant guards. With Thor's shout, the ice around him shattered.

Upon being released, Heimdall immediately wielded his sword, killing the two Frost Giants next to him. Then, with all his remaining strength, he activated the Rainbow Bridge, bringing everyone back to Asgard before passing out.

New York, Continental Hotel-

Natasha picked up the two suitcases on the table and walked towards the hotel exit. Since the negotiation failed, she had to wait for other agents to arrive and then knock on the doors to find Tony.

As Natasha walked out of the hotel doors, the assassins sitting in the lounge and the executive hall turned their attention to her and the suitcases.

The recent conversation had caught their interest. The items that could captivate Charles intrigued them.

If Natasha completed the transaction or stayed in the hotel, they wouldn't interfere. But now that she was leaving with the suitcases, it presented an opportunity.

Attacking outside the hotel wouldn't violate the hotel's rules, and it wouldn't disrupt the order of the high table. As for the obtained items, whether sold to the hotel manager Winston or presented to Charles for some benefit, it would be a gain for them.

As Natasha walked out of the hotel doors, the assassins in the lounge and executive hall stood up one after another. Some went back to their rooms to get weapons, while others walked directly towards the hotel exit.

Natasha retrieved the car keys from the valet and opened the car door.

Just after placing the suitcases in the car, Natasha saw several people coming out of the hotel entrance, and they made a motion to draw their guns.

Seeing this, Natasha's expression changed, and she immediately jumped into the car, slamming the door shut.

"Bang, bang, bang!"

Bullets hit the car door and windows, creating a sound of collisions.

"Damn it, it's a bulletproof car!"

One of the assassins who ran out exclaimed after shooting at the car door, which only resulted in dents.

"Shoot the tires and windows!"

Three gunmen immediately aimed their guns at other positions and started pulling the triggers.

"Bang, bang, bang!"

Soon, the tires were shot, but the windows remained intact, clearly made of bulletproof glass. Natasha reached under the seat, retrieved a weapon, opened the other side of the car door, and took cover behind the vehicle.

"Dah, dah, dah!"

Natasha, holding two guns, stood up and immediately opened fire at the three assassins attacking her. With a few gunshots, the three assassins fell to the ground, their heads blown off by Natasha.

The hotel doorman stood at the entrance, watching the conflict without blinking an eye.

As long as the killing didn't happen within the hotel premises, the hotel management didn't care. However, if the violence occurred within the hotel, they would take action and there would serious consequences.

Natasha, seeing the three assassins she had taken down, raised an eyebrow. If she didn't know the rules of the Continental Hotel from her earlier investigation of Charles Doyle, she might have thought Winston had sent someone to intervene.

However, pedestrians on the street couldn't stay as composed. They immediately screamed and ran away, dialing emergency services.

Just as Natasha was preparing to holster her guns and return to the car, the hotel's entrance was pushed open again. This time, a larger group of about ten people came out. Some sat by the hotel windows, watching the unfolding events outside.

The assassins who emerged from the hotel looked at the three bodies lying on the street, walked out as if nothing had happened, and dispersed towards various streets at the three-way intersection.

At that moment, a tall and burly man walked straight towards Natasha.

Arriving at Natasha's car, he didn't immediately attack but instead took out a stack of gold coins from his pocket, totaling ten coins.

"Madam, may I inquire if you could transfer some of the items from your suitcase to me? I guarantee the price will satisfy you."

He then looked around at the other assassins who hadn't left and said, "Trust me, handing it to me won't leave you at a disadvantage."

"At least I'm willing to pay some price to obtain it."

Hearing his words, Natasha smiled, but in the next second, she immediately drew her gun and opened fire.

Several consecutive shots hit the man, who fell to the ground. As he lay there, bullets flattened against his suit, and the bullet heads on the coat all fell off.

While lying on the ground, he pulled out a pistol from his lower back and aimed at the car's wheel, firing shots.

This exchange of gunfire, like a spark, ignited the other assassins walking up the street. They immediately started shooting at the car.

One of the assassins even pulled out a hand grenade from his lower back, pulled the pin, and threw it towards Natasha's car.

Seeing the incoming grenade, Natasha knew she couldn't just run. She immediately jumped into the car, closing the door.

"Boom!"

The grenade exploded under the car, but due to the high safety factor of Natasha's vehicle, it only lifted it a little and didn't overturn it.
