Chapter 119 - Chapter 119: Competition

With just three words spoken, Uchiha Sasuke activated his Sharingan and rushed forward. He quickly pulled out ten kunai from his ninja pouch and launched them directly at the enemies guarding the Continental Hotel.

Swish… swish… swish!

The kunai had explosive tags tied to their tails, and they ignited as soon as they were released.

Sasuke didn't wait to see the results but calmly formed a cross shape with his hand and charged straight into the Continental Hotel.

On the other side, Rock Lee saw Sasuke take the lead in this performance and didn't hesitate. He immediately sprinted towards other targets.

Bang…bang…bang!

Since he hadn't activated the Eight Gates technique, Lee's speed, although incredibly fast, was still slightly slower than his previous supersonic state. However, the members of the Hand had no chance to react.

Lee, despite his slightly slower pace, quickly eliminated the remaining six gunmen on the perimeter. However, he had killed four fewer enemies than Sasuke.

Seeing himself falling behind Sasuke in terms of body count, Lee didn't hold back and shouted, "Eight Gates Release - The Gate of Limit, Open!"

Green chakra flames surged instantly, and veins bulged on Lee's forehead. His face turned crimson as a massive chakra erupted. Under this immense chakra, the ground beneath his feet instantly crumbled, and stones were blown in all directions.

Boom!

Instead of charging directly into the Continental Hotel, Lee ran along the exterior walls of the building, making it easier to locate targets and continue hunting.

Lee sprinted towards the fourth floor.

Boom!

The terrifying sound waves caused the glass on the exterior walls of the hotel to shatter, scattering glass shards to the ground.

Inside the hotel, both Bakuto and Sowande with his henchmen immediately heard the explosion from outside the building. Although they didn't know what had happened, they all knew that enemies were approaching.

While the explosive tags also created explosions, Sowande and Bakuto could distinguish the difference between these explosions and their own grenades.

They immediately became alert.

Lee reached the fourth floor of the hotel. The corridor was pitch black, but it didn't affect Lee's ability to sense enemies.

Whoosh!

Lee smashed through the window and entered the fourth-floor corridor. As soon as he entered, he punched, creating a shockwave that struck the enemies on the fourth floor.

Those farther away were blown away by the shockwave, while those closer were directly obliterated.

Blood and limbs splattered on the walls on both sides, but due to the lack of lighting, the spectators couldn't see the gruesome scene clearly.

Lee didn't stop his assault and counted, "8, 9, 10, 13."

Lee had just killed a squad of seven armed members in this corridor.

Lee heard movement from nearby and didn't pause. He instantly rushed over. His speed was so fast that the members of the Hand couldn't react at all, and they were killed instantly, even before they could fire their guns.

Lee's speed was such that he could even crush Hand members when running at them. However, he refrained from doing so as it would be too gruesome, and he didn't want blood and flesh to splatter on him.

Lee quickly encountered the leader of the Hand, an old man with a weathered face but a robust physique.

"Are you Bakuto or Sowande?"

"Forget it, whoever you are, the result will be the same."

Lee didn't give the enemy a chance to reply and immediately launched an attack. Bakuto only felt a blur as a powerful gust of wind slashed past him, causing his skin to sting. He then saw over ten of his subordinates being blown away behind him.

Bang…clang…crash!

Only at this moment did the sound of his subordinates being blown into walls, glass, and various objects finally reach him.

However, there was not a single scream, and Bakuto realized that he had run into a formidable opponent.

"Who are you?"

As Bakuto spoke, he secretly activated his qi.

Lee didn't answer Bakuto's question but muttered to himself, "Counting you, that makes 30."

In a flash, Lee appeared in front of Bakuto and delivered a punch to Bakuto's shoulder. Since he needed to capture him alive, Lee's attack had very little strength, even less than ten percent, to avoid accidentally killing him.

However, even with less than ten percent of his power, Lee's punch sent Bakuto flying. If not for his ability to channel qi through his body, Bakuto's shoulder would have been shattered.

With just one touch, Bakuto knew he was no match for his opponent and immediately used his qi to perform a "manipulate objects" attack.

All the objects in the corridor were sent hurtling toward Lee, but Bakuto was already preparing to jump out of the window and escape. The fourth-floor height was no obstacle for him.

As he watched the various objects flying towards him – knives, shuriken, daggers, vases, paintings, chairs, and more – Lee paid them no mind. He simply accelerated, and before the attacks could reach him, he was already in front of Bakuto.

Lee grabbed Bakuto and slammed him against the nearby wall.

Boom!

Bakuto crashed into the wall, causing a section of the corridor to collapse, and he fell into an unoccupied guest room. Fortunately, the room was empty, as no assassins had checked in.

Bakuto's attack with manipulated objects had only been aimed at where Lee had been standing before, and it had all been in vain. In front of Lee's supersonic speed, Bakuto's resistance was futile.

Swish!

Lee appeared in front of Bakuto once again. This time, he controlled his strength carefully, as he needed to capture Bakuto alive. He focused on Bakuto's head and delivered a punch, causing Bakuto to lose consciousness.

Seeing Bakuto unconscious, Lee hesitated for a moment. The competition wasn't over yet, but he couldn't leave Bakuto unattended. He couldn't risk him escaping.

Lee reached into his ninja pouch and pulled out a strong rope made by Iruka. It was exceptionally sturdy, and ordinary people couldn't break free from it.

Approaching the unconscious Bakuto, Lee bound him tightly in a fetal position, securing him so he couldn't move. He then slung Bakuto over his back.

The competition was far from finished, and Lee had to continue hunting enemies.
