The time frame is still in the original story since Luffy and Usopp fished out Bon Clay in the midst of sea steam.
In fact, some of the Strawhats already noticed the pirate ship of Bon Clay. However, they didn't confront the latter or they are just too hungry to do some extra actions like fighting.
Bon Clay entertained the Strawhats using his Copy Copy ability.
Fortunately, he didn't manage to copy Nami and exposed her body or else, he'd be long dead before his crew can fetch him back.
Yosaku has the same power as Bon Clay. However, he didn't reveal much of his power. The guy is starting to get mysterious on his own.
On the Strawhats, only Nami, Zoro, Usopp and Luke witnessed his copying ability.
Meanwhile, Luke already evaluated Bon Clay long before he arrived in this world. The guy sure is sketchy, but overly values friendship.
The guy indeed have the qualifications to be their nakama. However, if he were to compare, Bon Clay and Bartolomeo were mostly the same.
Bartolomeo is a gangster who idolizes Luffy back in Logue Town. He admired Luffy's confidence that aimed to be the next Pirate King.
If Luke were to conclude things, he will place Bon Clay in the Strawhat Alliance since the latter has his own crew.
This short meeting of the Strawhats and Bon Clay ended on a whim.
Bon Clay returned to his ship and sailed back to Alubarna, Capital of Alabasta. However, he actually got emotionally touched to have met with some friends along the way.
The Strawhats had a discussion when they learned that Bon Clay was part of the Baroque Work Agents and with the alias of Mr. 2.
Vivi then breaks down the full structure of Baroque Works organization. To face off Crocodile, leader of Baroque Works and a Warlord assigned by the World Government, they will have to defeat two thousand members of the organization.
The guise of Baroque work agents is to help improve Alabasta Kingdom. The members openly disdain and hunt pirates. However, these are all pretense since their main goal is to overthrow the reign of the Royal King of Alabasta.
Defeating two thousand men is a simple task since the Strawhats have been upgrading their power at a fast rate.
However, things are a bit complicated when there's a Warlord and Vice Admiral of the marines mixing in the fray.
The Strawhats knew that the power of a Warlord aren't someone to be trifled with just like Dracule Mihawk they once met.
Vice Admirals are no doubt mysterious and strong individuals. They already met two Vice Admirals and although Vice Admiral Bang gave way on them, they knew the elderly man was very dangerous.
The old man beside Bang that time also exudes danger vibe. If the two old men act at the same time, Luffy and the Strawhats might have low chance on winning. With that to say, they will have to rely on Luke once again when he's very sick at that time.

It didn't take long for the Strawhats to arrive at Alabasta Kingdom, a desert country and the hometown of Vivi.
The temperature of the place are unusually high. The Baroque Work ships also littered around the nearby sea.
Since the Strawhats didn't want to confront the Baroque Works and Marines alike, they stayed on low profile while re-supplying the ship of food and daily necessities. They also need to change their clothes to match the hot weather of Alabasta and also for a disguise.
The closest town for them to re-supply was named Nanohana. After that, they will head to Yuba, a Town next to Alubarna.
Luke recalled that Luffy will meet his sworn brother, Portgas D. Ace in this Kingdom. It's a perfect timing since he needed a fire supply for his next Special Homie.
Blackbeard was hunted by Ace for killing a member of the crew to obtain a Devil Fruit. The two were once in the same pirate group, a nakama. Now, they were like mortal enemies and aiming for each other's throat.
Luffy badly needed some food so after the Going Merry docked to a corner, he dashed towards the direction of the Town without waiting for the others.
Nami, Chopper, Usopp, Sanji and Vivi headed to the Town to catch up with Luffy.
Zoro, Yosaku and Johnny headed to another direction to assassinate some Baroque Work agents and find some treasures. Apparently, Zoro felt the pressure of owing Nami so much money. He needed to hunt some enemies just to patch up his debt.
Johnny and Yosaku clearly knew the bad habits of Zoro getting lost so they accompanied him.
Luke, Liz, Igaram, Mr. 9, Ms. Monday, Karoo the duck and Billy the duck stayed on the ship.
Luke was frowning from the hot temperature of this country. He then stretched his hand and grabbed a cloud in the sky.
After gaving it a life, he spread the cloud atop the Going Merry for a better shade like a umbrella. The cloud even produced a cold air for better ventilation.
His creation worked and the temperature of the ship considerably lowered. He smirked and finally enjoyed his liesure time.
Liz and the rest expressed their amazement seeing the fluffy cloud.
They were glad to have Luke as he made their stay very comfortable.

Hours later...
Luffy caused too much commotion in the Town that the marines standing by finally noticed his presence.
Smoker was also there, personally confronting Luffy. He accidentally heard the latter was hunting Crocodile the Warlord as he frowned by this news.
Luffy grinned as he made a clash with Smoker. It wasn't even called a fight since Luffy was so fast and uses Haki to counter the Logia body of Smoker. He basically pummeled Smoker like a veteran battling with a amateur kid. His fighting capability also improved significantly after that simple clash with Bang at Drum Kingdom. Right now, he's more proficient on dodging with ease.
Smoker didn't fully know the concept of Haki yet so he was left in puzzlement. He finally realized that Luffy isn't someone to be trifled with.
Nami, Sanji, Usopp, Chopper and Vivi also retreated back to the ship while dragging Luffy.
Luffy was just too loud that every people of the Town have seen their faces.
Fortunately, Vivi properly covered her face or else, trouble will come to the royal palace and branded her family as traitors and allied with pirates.
Zoro, Yosaku and Johnny came back empty handed. The people they hunted were all small time mercenaries and bounty hunters. It only gave them some warm ups.
The arriving Strawhats also noticed the cloud that serves as the umbrella for Going Merry. They already guessed it as Luke's ability.
"You guys seemed distressed." Luke chuckled but he noticed there are no presence of Ace in their team. He wondered if the two brothers really met.
"Don't ask about it. Our low profile cover just got exposed thanks to Luffy. By tomorrow, every people in the kingdom knows that we are here." Nami facepalmed. She wasn't that worried though. If she were to act, she will probably annihilate every Baroque Work agents she detected.
"Let them come. It's not like we're actually hiding. We just have to avoid some unnecessary trouble." Luke smiled.
"Strawhat Luffy! Zoro! Stop right there! You all are under arrest!"
Just as the Strawhats sailed away for their next destination, a young lady carrying a sword fearlessly charging at the Strawhats.
Zoro actually ducked on a corner to hide while Yosaku and Johnny opened their mouth so wide in shock when they saw the young lady.
"Who is this lady? Is she a marine by the way she talks?" Nami asked with confusion.
"Whatever. We can't stay too long here. Just capture her and let's proceed to our next destination." Luke smirked at Zoro as he waved his hand.
However, no one wants to subdue the lady.
Yosaku and Johnny was petrified in place.
Zoro was hiding.
Sanji wouldn't even want to hurt a lady even if it cause him of his life.
Luffy was too brutal for this job and was also happily jumping all over the umbrella cloud.
Usopp only assumed a brave warrior pose without doing anything and Chopper was just too innocent to hurt a lady.
Nami facepalmed once again as the job was undoubtedly assigned to her, the navigator. She then arrived at the young lady at a lightning speed.
The young lady holding a samurai sword couldn't process what was going on as she got easily neutralized by Nami by just one simple touch.
"Set sail!" Nami ordered the crew with annoyance. If they don't follow her instructions now, they will definitely be electrocuted by her.
Everyone finally react and did what they're told.
Mr. 9 and Ms. Monday were assigned to watch the unconscious young lady.
Luke glanced every corner of the land and didn't found any trace of Ace. He frowned but didn't mind too much. He just felt a bit of a pity that his third Special Homie will be delayed for a while.
He then glanced at Yosaku and Johnny who's whispering to one another while looking at the young lady.
"Do you know her? You two are acting suspicious right now." He asked while he actually know the answer.
Yosaku and Johnny glanced at each other before shaking their heads. However, their faces betrayed their action. The men were too shock for this discovery.
They found out that this young lady looked like the daughter of their dojo master and her name was Kuina.
Luke wanted to tease these men further when bunch of Baroque Work ships are blocking their way.
He almost tested the capability of his newly made ammo, the Bomb Bomb ring out of excitement. However, after thinking for a second, it'll probably be an overkill and will cause too much commotion.
Nami released the remaining annoyance in her as she blasted every ship on the way using Thunder Strikes.
The Strawhats shivered in fear and called her names like 'scary big sister', 'angry thunder lady' and whatnot which made her annoyed and amused at the same time.

On a dark spacious room of a casino at Rainbase, near Capital of Alabasta...
"Strawhat Luffy and his crew is in this country right now. He destroyed a couple of ships along the way." Ms. All Sunday said in a low voice.
"I thought Mr. 3 succeeded on dealing with that guy? What is going on? Why didn't Mr. 2 report this in advance? I sent him to fetch Mr. 2 at Little garden." Crocodile frowned.
"I don't know yet. He just arrived at the Capital empty handed. He probably missed fetching Mr. 3." Ms. All Sunday replied with indifference.
She hid the matter of Vivi to Crocodile. She told him before that she killed the princess after visiting the Whiskey Peak. The only hindrance right now is the Strawhats.
The only thing that bothers her right now is how calm and composed the Strawhats after meeting her. Especially that crimson-eyed man named Luke which made her go unease.
"Send this news to Kamikaze, the Vice Admiral that situated this country. Tell him that a group of dangerous pirates are heading to this kingdom. Let him handle those pirates for good." Crocodile didn't like the outcome of his plan. His subordinates turned out to be bunch of incapable fools. They can't even finish a mere 22 million bounty little brat.
He added, "Call the top agents for a meeting."
"Yes, Sir.
Ms. All Sunday left to relay the news. She didn't expect him to summon a powerful individual just to finish a nameless pirate group.
That Vice Admiral is known to be very decisive when facing pirates. No one left alive as long as he make a move. He also has a famous title that known to every swordsman.
