Chapter 22 - Chapter 22: Preparations for the Magical Tool Shop (Part 2)

"Here they are. Since you seem to be considering repairing magical tools, I brought other broken ones as well."

"Thank you."

"I'll give these to you, so please take your time examining them in your room."

"Is that okay? Shouldn't I take them to the capital city for repairs?"

"Transportation is difficult, and repair costs are high, so we plan to discard these. Please feel free to take them."

"Alright, then."

"And here's a list of the magical tools available in this town along with their prices. Please use it as a reference."

"Is it alright to receive such information?"

"Normally, there should be competition, but prices are unified in this town. The lord has also approved this, so when you start selling magical tools, please consult us regarding prices. If you create magical tools, the prices in this town may become more affordable, and we're looking forward to that."

"Understood."

I decided to thoroughly examine the magical tools and price list I received in my room.

Can I repair them using my appraisal and repair skills?

What about the Black Box and the magical circles?

I have many concerns.

The magical tools I received this time included a longsword, a shortsword, a knife, elbow guards, chest guards, and a robe.

They seem to be items not dealt with by the trading company.

They are available at weapon stores, armor stores, and the Hunter's Guild.

As for the lighting magical tools, there were ones for ceiling suspension, wall installation, and tabletop use.

All of them appeared to come with integrated magic stones and seemed quite expensive.

The ceiling-suspended version had lines extending from it, with a switch and a magic power supply unit attached.

Of course, it would be troublesome to supply magic power using a ladder every time.

I received two types of storage bags, one for cooking and one for warm water, along with an ice-making magical tool and a magical refrigerator.

Now, can I appraise and repair them?

The results showed that I can both appraise and repair them.

I could easily appraise the contents of the Black Box.

I was pleased that I could thoroughly appraise the magical circles inside the Black Box and understand the overall composition.

This also helped me identify where the damage occurred.

However, how to repair it effectively would rely on my repair skill.

Even without appraising, I could identify the cause of the magical tool's malfunction with the repair skill.

Furthermore, it seemed that I could identify the areas of non-magical tool damage and repair those portions independently of the magical circle.

With this, I could potentially repair a variety of items.

Of course, I could also repair the parts that were enchanted as magical tools.

Additionally, what I realized here is that there are methods of magical tool transformation other than magical circles.

Magic characters or magical imbuing can also transform items into magical tools.

Magical imbuing... it sounds similar to my process of creating magical tools.

And the magic characters were a unique font of Kanji characters.

I believe it was called Seal Script...

While researching repairs, I found that improvements were possible.

However, there seem to be limitations. While I may not be able to enhance them to the extent of the magical tools I create, it's possible to conserve magic power consumption and more.

It might be a good idea to collect broken magical tools, improve them, and then sell them.

I need to carefully consider which magical tools to handle from now on.
