Henry pretended to be calm as he stared at this Imperial Princess. Her words frightened him.
She had been waiting for this opportunity. This woman planned more than learning from him. As for what that was, he had yet to learn. She wasn't giving him any hints.
"Sure, why not?"
Henry smiled.
He came here because he was confident in his skills. He wouldn't have dared if he wasn't. He knew this era had severely lacking magi.
And he was correct. The magus guard was, at most, in the fourth magus class. He was a class above Henry, but that wasn't a significant problem.
"Splendid."
The Princess smiled in return. She seemed genuinely happy that Henry agreed.
Henry found that odd, but he didn't lower his guard. The magus guard kept channeling mana into his short staff and waited silently. He maintained a straight gaze at the duo without showing any hostility.
