Inside the restaurant, Henry opened the letter.
To the esteemed young man,
Your wisdom and knowledge transcend this world. You are certainly not someone simple. I knew it the moment you sniffed the Blood Sacrifice Staff. Thus, I knew you would return once the miss notices the intricacy of my stuff. May we meet again someday.
Sincerely,
Shopkeeper Yu
Henry raised his head after reading the letter. He looked around him and saw the faces of the customers eating the food with glee.
He recalled back then when he entered the shop. It was filled with magic weapons— Wands, Staff, Magic Tomes, and some Swords.
The restaurant now was a stark contrast.
"Who is Shopkeeper Yu?"
Henry wondered to himself. He smiled and left the restaurant. He already got the answer he was looking for.
Shopkeeper Yu must be a powerful expert. Who knew why he appeared in Virtue City? Henry had no idea.
Though, he was confident that he would eventually meet him again. Such was the way of the world. It may seem large. In truth, it was small, and everyone would meet in it as long as they didn't die.
Henry walked out of Virtue City and secretly returned to the tunnel.
"Master!"
Felicia was hiding in the tunnel. She immediately exclaimed after seeing him.
"What are you doing here?"
"I was waiting for you, Master. The magus teachers told me you didn't return with them. I waited here for you."
"I know the answer. Take care of your staff. It will show you its strength in the future," Henry said and smiled.
He was happy she waited for him here. Seeing her made him remember memories of the past.
Everyone was gone, but Felicia was here. It was a good feeling.
Henry returned with her to the academy.
"Henry?"
The Principal was outside the tunnel. Ten magus teachers surrounded him.
Conrad and the few from before were not there. They had obviously left to rest.
The Principal was shocked and confused as soon as he saw Henry and Felicia walking out of the tunnel. He looked at the other magus teachers near him.
"Why is he here?"
"Principal, we have no idea."
The magus teachers here shook their heads.
"Judy?"
"I also don't have any idea, Principal."
Judy was among the magus teachers. Similarly, she was unaware that Henry was with the group that made the tunnel.
"Why are you here, Henry?" the Principal asked.
Why not ask the person in question? The Principal thought.
"Uhhh... We helped build this tunnel, Principal."
Henry had no intentions to lie, so he told him. The Principal wouldn't be able to do anything now that he knew.
"What? How?"
The Principal was flabbergasted. He couldn't fathom how Henry could have convinced Conrad and the others.
"... It was a long story."
Henry didn't know where to start. It happened all because of misunderstandings between him and Conrad.
And so, he told the sequence of events to the Principal.
.
.
.
After hearing his story, the Principal released a long sigh. He appeared to visibly age.
"It's fine as long as you two don't expose the tunnel to anyone else."
Just as Henry had expected, the Principal couldn't do anything now that it had already happened. The Principal only hoped that the plan was not ruined.
"Yes, Principal. I was also a victim. I won't do such a thing," Henry replied.
After he heard Henry's reply, the Principal smiled widely. He nodded his head and waved him to move away from the tunnel's entrance.
"We will bring you justice. It's been a while since the academy has stretched its legs."
The Principal's face turned serious, and his eyes turned sharp. It was so much different compared to his usual personality.
He took a step forward and led the team of ten magus teachers into the underground tunnel.
Judy turned around and waved at Henry. She winked at him before turning around. At the moment, she carried a sword strapped to her back.
Seeing them leave, Henry turned around and left with Felicia. It was not his business anymore.
If the academy fell, he would simply take the object in the magic circuit and leave. It was important to him, and he didn't have the hobby of playing hero.
The sun slowly set over the sky. An orange hue mixed with the purplish color of the night sky.
They arrived at the apartment and waited for good news.
During this time, Henry taught Felicia how to provoke the white staff. The tugging on her soul became stronger and stronger.
It was as if she was reviving something in the staff. The more she got better, the stronger the connection she felt.
The next day, an earthquake-like news shook the whole academy. The result of yesterday's mission was revealed.
Virtue City was bathed in blood. Thunder, Earth, Fire, and Wind rumbled the city.
Many noble clans in the city disappeared overnight. A couple of influential people died. It was a bloody cleansing.
The person who spearheaded this was the Principal of Treesap Kingdom's Royal Magic Academy. He killed with a poker face and reaped lives like a grim reaper.
Behind him were ten magus teachers of the academy. This group was capable of using strong offensive spells.
Furthermore, Judy's name spread. She waved her sword and created arcs of lightning that killed a Master-class magus.
She was of the same class, but she easily killed that magus. The name of her clan failed to escape the interest of those who heard the news.
It spread that Judy's full name was Judy Fastblade.
Of course, Henry was affected by this. Everyone found out that he was the one who told her to use a sword with magic.
Henry learned all of this information because the academy purposely spread it to everyone. They sent a detailed report of yesterday's events to each student in the form of a news issue.
"Kind, Supportive, Smart, and Decisive..."
Henry described the Principal. His character was worthy of respect.
He was like a resting tiger. As soon as danger stepped in front of him, he would bite with ferocity.
As he was thinking, a knock came on the door.
Knock! Knock! Knock!
