Purity stared at Henry, full of skepticism.
His words were sweet and enticing, but it wasn't practical. She didn't believe him at all.
"I will believe you."
However, she gambled on him. He was the only person that could help her. The chance was tiny, and she prepared her heart for the eventual betrayal.
"Good. You can take the clothes. I will wait for my disciple to return before we can start."
Henry waved his hand.
He sat on the small chair and placed his sword on the table. He closed his eyes and stayed silent.
"…"
Purity stared at him in silence. She was happy he gave her the clothes, but she knew this could all be a lie. Thus, she didn't feel any gratitude yet.
Time passed in silence. Purity took the gray dress she liked and changed into it. She smelled herself and looked at Henry.
"You can take a bath," Henry said, sensing her gaze and purely guessing her intentions.
"Y-yes!"
