In Goldenpearl Kingdom's Royal Capital, there was an auction house. Many travelers and regulars visited the place. On a particular day, an unusual visitor entered its open stage.
Henry took a seat in one of the three audience sides around the stage. He stayed at an obscure corner at the back.
Each audience side was raised at an angle such that the farthest seat was higher than the stage. This arrangement allowed the farthest audience to see what was on stage without obstruction.
By the look of things, the auction hadn't started yet. Most of the seats were empty, and it was dead silent. Those who arrived kept their voices lowered and warily glanced at the newcomers.
Henry had seen an advertisement for this auction house as he rode the carriage around the capital.
A large spiral of gold hung high above the open stage with glowing mana crystals. It was where the name came from— Golden Spiral Auction.
The overall atmosphere was elegant and noble.
