For some unknown reason, the middle-aged hunter had been still and silent for a while.
"Uncle?"
Yi Lin called out again.
Still no response.
It was unknown when it began...
The hunter's body was ice-cold, and he had long stopped breathing.
It was only upon setting him down that Yi Lin noticed the hunter had died with his head twisted in a bizarre position, his face frozen in a strange expression.
A smile that was not quite a smile, a cry that was not quite a cry.
That's how he had died, stiff and straight.
He had died on Yi Lin's back.
What exactly the middle-aged hunter had seen in his final moments, Yi Lin couldn't tell.
Died of fright?
Or in the midst of a beautiful dream?
Yi Lin had no way of knowing.
Yi Lin lowered his head, eyeing the corpse with a more solemn expression, "Could it be..."
"Such a creature, how could it appear in just the fourth level of the trial?"
"Could it be... she is the Ghost King?"
