Days turned into weeks and weeks turned into months. Lara has yet to tell Victoria about her new job at Greymoon Casino and meeting Tristan Greyson. Victoria worked so much at the diner that she had little time for herself or her sister because they were both always busy, but they were always in touch. Lara finally found the perfect opportunity to spend time by having breakfast with her sister Victoria. Victoria's dream of starting her own nonprofit has finally come true with the help of her neighbors, including many of her clients. It's almost 7 o'clock. "Hey Vicki, wake up sleepy head! I'm taking you out today and it's a surprise." Lara said as she jumped on Victoria's bed. "Hey! What's up Lara, why are you so excited this morning?" Victoria replied with a sleepy eye and a yawn. "We're having breakfast. This is amazing. Come and take a shower." - "Okay, I'm going". Victoria reluctantly agreed as she got out of bed. They were both ready and fully dressed, and Lara had already called an Uber. The sun was just beginning to rise when the sisters headed to an expensive restaurant in the heart of the capital that had become a favorite meeting place for most of the elite in the city. "We're almost there, only two blocks away." The Uber driver said with a smile as he looked at the sisters in the rearview mirror. Victoria looked at Lara suspiciously. "Why are you looking at me like that sister?" Lara asked with a happy smile. "What are you up to Lara? I remember the last time you did something like this." We had to walk several miles home". "You'll find out soon enough. Believe me". Lara replied as the Uber driver pulled up. "We're here ladies", the he said as the sisters got out of the car. They walked towards the door of the restaurant, "Oh, my god lla !!" Victoria meets her sister's face below. "Vikki, .Victoria, my sister", her voice shaking as she struggled with her words, "you are very strong sister and I knew you were working hard. You have been my support through all this hard times and dreams and I vowed that one day I would find a job that would ease your burden". Hearing this Victoria's eyes were filled with tears she looked up at Lara and said "I love you sister, always", embracing eachother. "Alright, let's eat," Lara replied with a smile, and the two laughed out loud as they entered the restaurant.
As soon as they walked in, they were greeted by the aroma of freshly brewed coffee and warm croissants. Their eyes lit up with joy as they sat face to face in a cozy corner booth and placed their order.
"So, Lara, what is it?" Victoria asked excitedly. "Okay, remember when I said I was attacked by thugs in an alley and a very handsome gentleman saved me? I met him again and he hired me at his new casino and you know he's a good man." Lara replied with a twinkle in her eye. "Why didn't you tell me this good news?" Victoria said as she laughed out loud. "Well I tried" Lara answered but this time with a straight face, "until I walked in on crazy Claudio trying to choke you to death", trying to gauge her sister's reaction to know whether she really had made up her mind on walking away from the relationship with Claudio. "You're right, it's not a day I want to remember." Victoria replied with a slight frown. "By the way, how did you get a job? You're a student and haven't decided on a career other than singing yet." she said at breakfast. Lara tells how she met the mysterious billionaire. "I ruined his grand opening and the rest is history sister." Lara closed her eyes and answered. "But here's the best part, sister, I play twice a week, but it costs $1,000 a gig, so mathematically, I'm making $2,000 a week, voila!" "Wow! La La!" Surprised, Victoria shook her head back and forth.
Lara was eager to hear all about Victoria's plans for the grand opening of Hearts of Hope, a non-profit organization that had worked diligently for years to attract the attention of some of the city's wealthy elites and fund their cause.
When Victoria shared her thoughts, Lara saw the determination in her sister's eyes and couldn't help but be proud. The organization aims to involve causes close to the heart of disadvantaged youth, especially orphans, through education and mentoring. While going over the details of the upcoming launch event, Lara noticed that her sister seemed more energetic than usual. Victoria has always been reserved, but her newfound determination lights a fire within her. Lara knew that with her support and encouragement, Victoria's non-profit organization would make a significant impact on many lives. In the middle of their heated conversation, Lara couldn't contain her excitement any longer and said, "I think mom and dad would be proud of you Victoria." Hearing this, Victoria paused and sadly replied with a warm smile. "No sister, they would be proud us." . Continuing to enjoy breakfast, Victoria also shared her experience with Tristan at the diner the night before, not knowing his name or if he was the same person that gave her sister a job.
"Guess what Lala?." Victoria's eyes widened as she tried to tell me what had happened the night before. "Tell me, sister." Lara looked at the food and answered. "There was this man who came to the diner yesterday, very mysterious." Victoria continued. "He spoke calmly, confidently and with authority, and he was also very handsome. There is one thing that surprised me."
"Was he that mysterious?" Lara asked curiously. "Yes, it really was. I muttered to myself very faintly from a distance and no one else heard it, and he answered me loudly". replied Victoria. "Oh my God, Vicki, that's scary." Lara said, her eyes widening. "I know my dear sister, but we talked so much that I didn't even ask what his name was." answered her sister. "I only know the guy's name who gave me the job at the casino is Mr. Grayson. So don't worry, sister". Both laughed as they compared their experiences, they wondered if the universe had more surprises in store for them. They laughed and shared excitement, not knowing they were talking about the same person. Their attitude towards him was completely different. Victoria saw a charismatic and charming man with an aura of mystery, and Lara saw a compassionate and humble soul, truly committed to making a difference in the lives of others. That revelation brought the two sisters closer and strengthened their unbreakable bond. They traded stories and struggled to put together the pieces of the puzzle of this charming man. As the morning sun rose in the sky, Victoria and Lara continued to plan and discuss their adventure. They were grateful for the opportunity to share their dreams and aspirations, and their mother's support before she passed away was invaluable. Little did they know that their journey would set the stage for a series of unexpected events that would change Tristan's life and especially Victoria's. As the sisters left the restaurant that day, they were full of excitement and anticipation for the future of the two of them and the Foundation. Unbeknownst to Victoria, the threads of fate have turned her life into an amazing tapestry of adventure, love and mystery. And as she continued on her life's journey, she did not expect to meet the mysterious man again.
