A thick fog covered the entire resort as Xiao Juhan took advantage of his abilities disarming all the mechanisms. He stood in the middle as the fog cleared out right away realising he was surrounded by masked men.
They attacked him right away as white smoke appeared behind him as it possessed their bodies right then. They stood still for a while before turning to fight one another before the old man in charge came out.
"Two weeks since you were caught in the world of meditation and now you're able to summon a lot of spirits right away. You're doing good. But how good exactly are you?"
He asked fighting him head on as Xiao Juhan also fought back. For an old man his age he was a bit surprised since he could keep up with him.
Juhan gave him a double punch on his ribs before aiming for his face as the old man dodged the attack right away but then his other hand came right to his face with a spirit in his hand. He smiled as he looked at Xiao Juhan and nodded.
"You've become a master now. But don't forget..."
He touched the amulet on his neck only to realise it was gone.
Xiao Juhan raised the amethyst amulet looking at it as the old man looked at him shocked.
"You little brat... you've actually gotten smarter." He said as Xiao Juhan threw the amulet back at him which he caught right then.
"The power of meditation is actually beyond what I thought. I fully grasped the whole technique in my subconscious and even mastered how to harness my sign."
The old man smiled as he sat under a nearby tree.
"What are you still doing here then? Shouldn't you be on you next adventure, I've thought you everything I know without doing anything."
He said as he closed his eyes allowing the leaves to fall on him. Xiao Juhan looked at the old man who never gave his name and bowed to him three times before going to pack his things. He looked at the phone he hadn't touched in two weeks and picked it up to call his mum which she answered right away.
"You answered very quickly." He said as he packed his stuff and booked a flight right away to leave the country.
"You took quite a while to call me as well. What's up with you?" She asked back.
"I'm leaving Japan. And I've also fully mastered my powers all by myself. I did great didn't I?"
Mrs Xiao laughed at his silly words as she looked outside to see Song Luo sitting with the girls as they braided her hair fixing small flowers in it.
"I have to tell you something about Song Mimi..."
A loud silence emerged between the two as Xiao Juhan stopped packing for a while.
"I didn't think you'd be the one speaking up for her today." He said as he resumed packing his stuff.
"Song Mimi is the... the phoenix..."
Her words made Xiao Juhan stop packing right then as shock grew on his face along with many questions in his head.
"She saved me from the Cove here in Yunnan and that's why I'm able to talk about this matter. Turns out she's actually the leader of the seven beings. Explains why she never wanted to give you further attention."
Xiao Juhan smiled as he listened to her words.
"You keep forgetting she got married to man she didn't know much about. She only knew his family background not Lei Ming in person. I think you're mistaken about the reasons for why she did what she did." He said as he closed the back taking his passport.
"Maybe when you're finally ready to come back to China she might have finished her purpose in life. There's a lot of things about her which just needs to be let out. She needs you son."
Xiao Juhan was silenced by her words but still didn't let it get to him.
"That old Xiao Juhan died. This new one can't afford another heartbreak. I'm hanging up. I booked an early flight so I must leave for my next destination right away... I love you mother." Xiao Juhan said as he hang up taking his stuff and left right then.
_____
Beijing, China.
At Zhuge Xing's villa, his whole family was present as well as Yu Lan's family along with with Xun Yujin and her husband. Lian Wei entered the villa as everyone turned to her wondering who she was. She ignored all the whispers and went staright away to Zhuge Xing who knelt in front of his wife's memorial tablet kneeling beside him and placed her hand on his. Everyone had their eyes on them as the media made sure to take their information.
"I'm sorry for your loss. Whoever did this will surely be brought to justice. And I promise I'll be right here with you." She said looking at him as Zhuge Xing moved her hand away.
Zhou Sheng understood as she was his wife after all and he had to respect her grave. She got up and moved to a corner as eyes were still on her.
"Who's she? Where did she come from?" Yu Gensheng asked as he kept looking at Lian Wei from afar.
"I don't seem to have seen her here in Beijing before or heard about her before. I'll dig up everything about her right away." His assistant said as he walked away hurriedly as Yu Lan's sister approached her father right away.
"Zhuge Xing had never been faithful to my sister and we all knew that. This is clear proof. His mistress even dared come to my sister's funeral. Father, what are you thinking about? You must not let what rightfully belonged to my sister be taken by her." Yu Pei said as she looked at Lian Wei disdainfully.
"Shut up and don't let the media notice you. Zhuge Xing will definitely not escape from our grasp. There's no way he can escape from us so easily." Yu Gensheng commanded as he turned his focus to Zhuge Xing who still knelt in front of Yu Lan's grave.
After the funeral was over, the media left quietly as asking anyone questions would lead to them risking their companies.
"We are leaving then. Don't loose all hope Zhuge Xing. Both of us have lost someone dear to us. Be strong." Xun Yujin said as she left with her husband right away.
Yu Gensheng looked at Zhuge Xing as he was the only one left with his family to leave except for Lian Wei. He walked away without any ruckus leaving him a bit confused. He loosend his tie as he turned his gaze to Lian Wei.
"I'll get going then. You must be exhausted." She said leaving the mansion as a hand held her back right away.
Zhuge Xing looked at her before looking outside as people were still around. He closed the doors right away as he pinned her to the wall leaving her stunned.
"What... what..."
"You don't know how badly I wanted this whole thing to end and have you in my grasp."
