"I'm tired today. You guys can go on ahead. " he said to them before they all waved at him before leaving. He sat in his chair looking at the picture frame on his desk and he picked it up looking at the woman on it and he smiled.
"Mimi, my heart hasn't changed over all these years and I still can't get over you. But you've already gotten married to someone else and you didn't even consider my feelings. " he said still glancing at the picture and then looked at the time and placed it back down.
"Take care of yourself anywhere you are. " he said before leaving his office.

"You little wrench, how dare you try to fight back?! " Lei Ming said as he struck the woman kneeling on the floor not moving an inch or even sobbing due to his abuse. She just knelt down enduring the pain of the hilt of his belt striking hard against her fair skin which was now red from blood.
"Are you stone?! Don't you have any feelings anymore?! " he roared angrily but seeing her still not moving and her indifferent expression, he took the vase nearby and smashed it on her head as blood started to run down her face uncontrollably.
"Clean up this mess you've made. What a waste to be called a woman. " he said left the house and she looked around and sneered before getting up and went to her room. She looked at herself in the mirror and she laughed hysterically as it started getting bitter until you could clearly hear her cry.
Her body was still healing from the beating he gave her just two days ago and he hit her again. Why did she continue to endure his abuse rather than fight back. It wasn't like she was helpless or vulnerable. Maybe it was because she fell too deep for him and didn't realise his flaws early enough.
She got into the shower washing the blood off even though it stung as hell. The whole tub covered in blood as it kept washing away. She got out after that and treated the wounds on her body again bandaging her arms covered with wounds. She refused to let herself feel pain even when it was the only thing she got in her six years of marriage being the CEO of the most prestigious jewel company in China.
She needed to be strong and ruthless to face all criticism for her arrogance. And having him by her side was enough to keep her going. But then he had to betray the love she had for her making her more cold and distant even though she couldn't be all these things in front of him. She walked towards the doors at a fast and sturdy pace as the doors opened automatically and a man was waiting for her there already.
"Mrs Song, the new designs for the ring has been provided by the team already. They all waiting in the meeting room waiting for you. " he said as he followed behind her almost running just to keep up with her. She ignored him and went right away to the meeting room normally called "The War Room" by all the employees and shareholders.
The doors opened as she walked in the room and it was dead silent as everyone prepared for the war. Her cold aura made the room even ten times cooler than it already was. She sat down as the assistant brought her a laptop placing it in front if her. She scrolled through and selected some before giving it back to the assistant. Then he projected it on the screen as they all turned their heads towards the screen. No one even dared to sigh a sigh of relief.
"The designers of these design should get up. " she said as her voice echoed in the room but the room was dead silent.
"Do I look like I'm joking around? IF THIS DESIGN BELONGS TO YOU GET UP!!! " she yelled and they all flinched as some people got up right away.
"What is this crap huh? Do you think you were hired to create such simple and cheap designs. Look around you and where you are. If you think you can't do better then just walk out I won't stop you. Don't give me such crap as designs cause this is just bullshit. Redo this again and I want it at the end of the day." she said they moved on to other things and half an hour later, they all left the room.
"Mrs Song, do you want to change your cloths? They're getting too wet I can see them soaked and the stench of blood is also getting overwhelming . Your wounds have opened up again and you need a hospital Mrs Song. " Zhong Hu said to her and she got up right away and he stepped back.
