Chapter 1 - Short Story: Astral Body-1Glory

In a rather empty part of the universe, the Little Prince finally came upon a small desolate astral body. On this tiny, 'Rock?,' the Little Prince thought, a man sat cross legged whilst taking up half the astral body. Upon reaching the other half of the rock, the Little Prince also sat cross legged, all the while watching with curiosity at what the man was doing.

The man was wearing pure white clothing, almost as if he had never moved once to cause a smudge. He wore cracked obsidian black glasses, which contrasted his almost porcelain-like skin, as well as his waist long black hair. But caused the interest of the Little Prince to pique his eyes, that of which were as deep and dark as a black hole, and as hazed over as if numerous strings passed over the dark iris.

During the few minutes in which the Little Prince had made his highly contrasting entrance with his bright yellow hair and interested gaze, the man had not moved an inch, with the only thing catching any attention was his almost imperceptible mumbling.

And so, without anymore hesitation, the Little Prince asked, "What are you mumbling about?"

And almost immediately a wide ear to ear grin appeared on the man's face, making the Little Prince almost jump off from his side of the astral body. "Everything and more!" The man exclaimed with palpable excitement. It was only now that the man seemed to be aware of his surroundings that he noticed something, "where are the stars?"  he asked with interest. But just as quickly the interest was lost and he was back to his mumbling, with his eyes hazing over yet again as if the person who had just caught his attention was not even present anymore, despite how close they were sitting from each other.

"Now this is fun!" The Little Prince yelled, ecstatic of the idea that the man in front of him was actually thinking of everything. And so the Little Prince pried, "What is everything and more?"

The man looked up again, the haze melting away, and the grin remaining, "Everything around me, there used to be more, but the 'Everything,' seems to have left." The man said while gesturing with his pointer finger upward.

"Where did 'Everything' go?" The Little Prince asked, still fascinated by this concept.

"Well I am not sure, maybe 'Everything' was bored?"

"Bored?" The Little Prince was confused.

"Yes, bored. After all, I only have the tiny rock I sit on left."

And with that, the man went back to the state the Little Prince found him in. Why would 'Everything' leave? The Little Prince was truly confused now. And so he thought. The Little Prince thought, and thought. . . and thought. Time passed, but with no sun for this lonely planet, it was impossible to tell how much time was passing.

They sat like this for a very long time, with all the little asteroids and debris disappearing from view. All this time, the man never said another word, staying in the same position he was left in, with the only evidence of life being his ever constant mumbling.

Becoming uncomfortable with this never ending silence, the Little Prince finally came up with a question, "Did 'Everything' leave because of this?" He said as he pointed to the man sitting, both asking the question to the man, himself, and anything around him he couldn't see. But there was no response, just more silence.

And with that, the Little Prince decided to leave, just like 'Everything' else did. He did not even give a parting thought other than the fact the he never even asked for the man's name, why was that? But the thought disappeared as quickly as it appeared.

It was only a few hundred years later did the man's haze disappear again. "So he left." The man said with no emotion. "I guess I worked too hard." And back to the mumbling he went, with the haze reappearing, plaguing his vision and mind once again.
