Chapter 3 - Chapter III: Clash of Vanguards

"Umm, do you think Mulan and Randgriz can win against the goddess, Kālī, out of all deities?" Göll asks, a worried expression present as she watched Mulan expertly wield her sister, Randgriz in the form of a jian.

"There's a chance, but it's not high," Freya admits with a frown, eyes glued to the clashing warriors in the arena. "But it's a good chance nonetheless. Mulan may lack versatility compared to Kālī but her expertise would be enough to keep up with the goddess. It's not like she was slacking all those years after her battles with Huns."

Brunhilde nods at her sister's words. Humming in agreement before speaking her thoughts.

"Last time I heard about her status prior to Ragnarok, she was teaching some warriors in T'ien," Brunhilde informs, arms crossing as she glances at Freya from the side. "Training some of the Jade Emperor's troops speaks volumes of her strength." She concludes with a nod of approval.

"E-eh? She was training some of the best warriors?!" Göll exclaims, shocked at the revelation.

The Chinese pantheon holds one of the best armies, so hearing Mulan training some of them is a definite surprise for Göll.

"Yes, you should really check on more humans from time to time, Göll." Freya sighs, ruffling Göll's hair once more. "You'd be surprised at how many humans can match some deities in terms of power and experience. Humanity just doesn't know when to stop even after death."

...

Back in the arena, Mulan and Kālī went on with their fight with both of them unleashing attacks. Although, Kālī shows ferocity and wildness while Mulan shows grace and finesse.

Dozens of seconds passed with Mulan parrying every attempt of Kālī to smash her head open. The sound of metal grinding, hitting, and deflecting each other rang loudly as Kālī would lunge at Mulan, only for the human to redirect the attacks with her parries.

The exchange of blows and techniques went on for a few more seconds before Kālī decided to swing her mace with much more force and speed than usual.

Mulan deflects Kālī's mace that came from her left, parrying it and sending it up after using her jian to strike it from the bottom. Using her newly acquired shield, she rams it onto Kālī's chest, sending the goddess hurtling back.

Having her chest bashed by her own shield, Kālī felt her bones creak, making her cough a fit before her manic grin widens.

"Would you look at that, folks! Kālī was sent flying by Mulan! With her own shield, nonetheless!" Heimdall announces with glee, watching the fight with twinkling eyes. "Is this really a sign that humanity can battle the divines?!"

Feeling the force behind the attack made Kālī grin wildly while her tongue remains hanging out of her mouth. She then used her mace to slow down her momentum by slamming it to the ground, making her land in the crater she created.

"You know, I like you, cutie," Kālī admits as Mulan surges forward. "You're pretty skilled for a small woman!"

Kālī grips her gada with two hands before bringing it up and down, aiming to smash Mulan's head open.

The force behind the attack made the air ripple, an ominous ringing sound seemingly filling the space around them, akin to a siren that is sounded for the apocalypse.

Seeing and feeling this, Mulan kept on rushing at Kālī with fervor before driving the shield to the mace's side. The gada was then sent to the left along with Kālī, the mace making contact with the ground and shaking the floor. The contact made a loud clang that made Mulan flinch, her ears ringing after it. Mulan's left arm trembles lightly due to the force behind Kālī's swing.

Although the ground shook, it did not make Mulan falter. With quick movement and repositioning, Mulan shifts to Kālī's left side, exposing her defenseless body to the female warrior. Then, Mulan thrusts her jian forward, aiming for Kālī's heart.

"For the record, I am pretty average in height!" Mulan exclaims midway through her thrust.

"Is that a fact now?" The goddess laughs before the sound of bones rattling filled Mulan's ears. "Gotcha," was Kālī's only response as she grins, maniacal laughter coming from her as a set of arms grew from her sides.

The sound of metal hitting each other resounded as Mulan's jian was redirected to the right, making the Chinese stumble back. Kālī's second left arm held a sword, a saber of some sort, littered with different kinds of gemstones.

Then, Kālī spun around, the action making the air turn as well, sending gusts of winds around. Using the trident in her second right arm to attack Mulan, Kālī drives it forward with a maniacal cackle. With a forceful thrust, three-pointed tips were sent in Mulan's direction, aiming for her head.

Whilst stumbling, Mulan saw the attack and could not parry it. So, she raised her shield and braced for impact but found herself feeling nauseous.

"Go back! To the past!" Kālī roars, grinning madly as the first tip of her trident glows a faint blue color.

Mulan, shocked at the feeling of her body moving on its own, found her left arm back to its former position before she raised it. The woman did not have enough time to worry about how it happened as she had to let herself fall to her back, her body hitting the ground with a thud.

'Close! What in T'ien was that?!' Mulan panics in her mind before making a swift decision.

Kālī's trident struck nothing but her second left arm swung down, only to find Mulan's boots making contact with her jaw after the human slammed her arms onto the floor and launched herself with enough force to crack the ground.

As the goddess tries to steady herself, catching herself back a few inches. This made the Hindu goddess laugh, enjoying Mulan's skills and quick thinking.

Mulan caught herself in a handstand before flipping back and making distance, arms trembling ever so slightly, mind still stuck on what Kālī just used on her. Her eyes narrowed into a glare, analyzing Kālī who cackled in glee.

"What an exchange that was! It seemed like two minutes in and Mulan was able to make Kālī use another one of her divine weapons! The Trident of History has revealed itself, folks!" Heimdall informed the people, pointing at Kālī who laughed. "Will Kālī dominate now? Or will she reveal more weapons as Mulan pushes her to her limit?!"

...

Seeing such developments, humanity could not help but feel worried about their vanguard.

"Damn, isn't that a little unfair?" One of the humans spoke, hands gripping his pants as he watched the fight with a grim expression.

"Did you really think it'll be a fair fight?" A woman asks, her expression is the same, feeling hopelessness at their situation. "We're fighting gods, and there's nothing we can do to defeat them. They will crush her-"

A spear embedded itself in front of the woman, making her shriek in fright, catching the attention of everyone near her.

"Mulan is stronger than that!"

Everyone turned their heads toward the Chinese army and saw a topless, muscular man with long hair in a bun, standing on one of the warrior's shoulders, right hand balled up and shaking in fury.

"I've seen it with my very two eyes! So stop those negative thoughts, for they are unnecessary with Mulan fighting for us!" The man roars and the army follows.

"Yeah! What the commander says!"

"Believe in Mulan!"

"Mulan is strong! Stronger than any of us here!"

"Commander Li Shang speaks the truth!"

Shang then crosses his arms, his eyes looking down at the humans that dared doubt Mulan. "None of you here know what she's even capable of, and yet you conclude that she's helpless against her foe?" He glared at them, making them swallow their words.

"D-do you really think that we'd know what she can do?!"

A man asks, standing up and pointing a finger at Shang who narrows his eyes. The man was not backing down though, even with an entire army glaring at him.

"A minute earlier, she was just a fictional character for us! H-her depictions barely showed a-any great feats other than b-being a great warrior that fought the Huns!" The man exclaims, huffing as if out of breath after speaking up to Shang.

With narrowed eyes, Shang spoke with a serious tone. "Exactly, you know so little about her, but you people know that she's a great warrior, and that means you know enough." The commander finishes before shifting his gaze to the ongoing battle below them, leaving the conversation to hang in the air.

...

Mulan focuses on Kālī, her eyes giving a faint golden glow as she calms herself from the new experience she just went through.

'I felt something gripping my very soul when she did whatever she did. It was unpleasant!' Mulan says in her mind before talking to Kālī. "That doesn't seem quite fair." She admits with a small smile, chuckling a little while Kālī laughs loudly.

"You bet your cute face, it ain't fair at all!" Kālī agrees before using her free hand, her first left hand, to point at herself. "You're facing me, cutie, a walking catastrophe of infinite chaos, creation, and other shit I don't even remember!" She laughs before continuing. "This trident ain't even the last of it, let me tell you that, cutie." She then calms down just a bit before rushing at Mulan who grimaced. "And I'm aware you're buying time to plan shit. Yeah, can't let you do that!"

"I didn't take you for a perceptive type of goddess!" Mulan said with a small laugh, redirecting the strike by parrying the sword coming from her right, sending it down to the ground.

"Oh? Trust me, little lady!  I'm full of surprises! My husband can tell you that as well!" Kālī cackles wildly as she drives her trident down along with her gada. 'This'll definitely surprise you, cutie!' The goddess cackles with her thoughts.

Mulan stepped to the side to avoid the lethal blow, landing gracefully on Kālī's side, and was about to attack, but the Hindu goddess had other plans.

"Happen! Come to me, future!" Kālī shouts as the third tip of her trident glows red before her movements hasten to terrifying speeds.

Mace and trident slammed and pierced the ground in front of her before getting instantaneously brought up and swung to the left, leaving Mulan with little to no time to react.

"Stay! Live this moment!" Kālī roars.

The second and longest tip of the trident glows violet.

Then, a wave of nauseating pain invaded Mulan's body. The mortal woman trembled as she felt something grip her very soul, making it quake as the pain shook her from the very foundation.

Mulan tried to bring her shield up but found her body not responding. Her limbs and muscles did not react at all, she could not even blink. Her entire being is stuck in a pose.

"Haha! Sorry, cutie! Looks like it's already the end of the line for you, eh?!" Kālī mocks Mulan who was about to get hit by her gada and trident.

Golden colors filled Mulan's eyes before her body moved and stepped back, watching the weapons whiz past her face, merely nicking a few strands of hair at best.

'Now!' Mulan shouts in her mind before swinging her sword.

"Huh?" Kālī, surprised once again, took a second to wonder why nothing got struck before feeling a sharp pain on her right side.

A thud was heard and everyone was in awe, shock, anger, and disgust when Kālī's first left arm fell onto the ground, cracking the ground due to the weight of her gada. Her stump bled profusely, making her growl.

The loss of a limb made Kālī wince in pain though, but it did not stop Mulan from attacking once again.

The mortal bashed her shield onto Kālī's face, drawing blood from the goddess' nose, breaking it, and sending her back a few meters. The airborne goddess stabbed her sword and trident to the ground just to stop her flight, eyes flaring, shaking, and never losing their passion.

'One down, three arms to go!' Mulan thought, already in a battle stance and ready to proceed. "Let's just hope she stays open after this." The woman said with a chuckle, watching Kālī rise to her feet.

"I-I can't believe it! First blood! Mulan has drawn blood from Kālī!" Heimdall shouts in shock and awe. "She even sliced one of her arms off! Talk about a literal disarming! No one saw it coming! Not even me!"

...

"Huh? That's surprising." Shiva, now sitting up and watching attentively, said with a voice laced with wonder. "The human there should not be able to move when Kālī stuck them in the present time."

"Hmph! Your wife became too comfortable and arrogant, Shiva." The Jade Emperor says whilst standing up with his hands on his staff as he analyzes the match. "Hua Mulan is an exceptional warrior with a bag of tricks hidden. I should know, for I let her train my warriors and they have nothing but praises for the woman. You should see her when she finally uses some of her abilities!"

"Oh my, has the Jade Emperor been helping humanity all along?" Amaterasu giggles, eyes closed with her left hand over her mouth.

"Our pantheon treats everything with justice and fairness!" Jade Emperor declares, slamming the end of his staff onto the stone platform. "If someone is worthy to enter T'ien, then we let them. Prohibiting them from their rights is injustice! Therefore, it makes us not fit to be overseers of such culture the moment we break that rule!"

"Sounds like you're helping them, just with extra, fancy steps," Jupiter says, arms crossed and eyes glaring at the Jade Emperor who merely scoffs at the Roman god's behavior.

"Interpret it as you would like, Jupiter. I do not expect you to understand the difference between two mythologies." The Jade Emperor harrumphs, not even glancing at Jupiter whose glare grew in intensity.

"If only she can make contact with her gada." Shiva sighs heavily. "It would've ended the entire battle then and there if one hit connected."

"My, my, she could've struck Mulan by surprise if she used her trident earlier in the fight, Mister Shiva." Hermes came from the broken down wall, walking over Mars' unconscious body, and carrying a tray of food and beverages for all the gods and goddesses on their platform. "But knowing Lady Kālī," Hermes stops to let Shiva finish his sentence.

"She wanted a challenge." Shiva groans, two hands going down his face while Hermes giggled at the behavior. "She better not come crying to me if she ends up losing more arms. She's probably going to try and fight me again after this is over."

"I believe that she's big enough to not cry, Mister Shiva, but I do feel like she'll complain a lot," Hermes said before pouring some mead on a saucer, offering it to Shiva with a small smile. "Drinks? Anyone?"

...

Humanity's cheers shook the colosseum, making some deities growl in anger at the turn of events.

"Oh? It seems like my beloved country has forged such a powerful lady. It makes me proud." A melodic laugh came from a lean man in fancy clothing, sitting on a fluffy mattress that is propped up by dozens of Chinese emperors and royals.

Ying Zheng or Qin Shi Huang, the blindfolded first Chinese emperor that unified China and started the Qin Dynasty, was watching the fight with a warm smile.

"A powerful user of chi as well." The emperor said, pride blooming in his voice. "Hmm, it makes me wonder if my martial art can turn her into a much more powerful force of a lady." He then grew a small frown, sighing sadly. "It's just unfortunate that I didn't get to meet her prior to this event. I wouldn't mind exchanging pointers with her. She seems greater than me in terms of controlling chi and utilizing it. Hua Mulan used chi to break the hold of the trident, releasing her soul from its grasp. I must compliment such a wonderful play!"

"What's with this, Zheng?" A voice asks from beside him.

Chun Yan, his bodyguard and mother figure, was raising an eyebrow at Zheng who lets out a small laugh.

"Oh, me admitting someone is greater than I in some aspects surprised you, Yan? But I must admit, the energy I see within her is immaculate! Refined! Honed to perfection, indeed!" Zheng says before bringing a saucer to his mouth, humming with a chuckle. "Hmm, it does sound and feel out of place when I do that." The emperor laughs lightly after taking a sip of his alcohol.

"Yeah, it feels weird," Yan admitted with a small smile, further making Zheng laugh.

"Well, first time for everything, as the saying states." The emperor said before frowning, slamming a hand to his crossed legs. "The cheers of others are surpassing ours! This is unacceptable! Cheer, everyone! Support one of our own! Hao!"

Seeing and hearing this, Yan can only smile before shouting as well. "Oi! You hear our great emperor! He better hear everyone cheering like there's no tomorrow!"

"YES, EMPEROR!" The massive amounts of Chinese individuals under Zheng answered in chorus, letting their voices engulf the others.

Soon enough, their group overwhelmed the entire side of humanity with their cheers. Their roars of support threatened to shake the very foundation of the arena as they gave it their all to show Mulan their support.

The emperor has commanded them to cheer, and thus they must do what has been said.

...

"You sneaky fucker." Kālī growls at Mulan who flicks off the blood from Randgriz, her jian. "How did you break Present's Grasp? I had your soul pinned down!" She shouts, her free hand now pointing a finger at Mulan.

"Oh? Nothing, I assure you." Mulan said with a smile.

Hearing this, Kālī scoffs before another set of arms grows from her sides. The sound of bones snapping into places and flesh rippling makes Mulan show a disturbed expression. As the arms were completed, the right held a white conch shell while the left held a pink lotus.

The bleeding of her stump then stops and the wound closes as the pink lotus glows lightly. A hum of pleasure came out of the goddess and after that, Kālī grips her conch shell.

"Fine, let me find it out my own way," Kālī growls before placing the conch shell near her ear. "Uh huh, so that's how you broke free! You cheeky bastard!" Kālī cackles before brandishing her weapons, putting down the arm with the conch shell. "My little conch shell told me you're a master of chi! I know that means you're incredibly strong when serious! You need to transform right now! Get serious, damn it!"

Kālī's eyes then shook, her body following as veins popped out of her skin. She then pointed her trident at Mulan, tongue retracting back and teeth threatening to shatter as she grind them. Mulan can even hear the sound of metal cracking as Kālī's grip on her weapons grew in power.

"I don't fucking like it when opponents do not take me seriously!" Kālī snarls before boosting herself, the third tip of the trident glowing once again as she rushed at Mulan with baffling speed.

The space around Kālī rippled wildly, thunderous sounds of explosion almost making everyone present deaf. On top of that, the raging roar of Kālī matched the sounds of the rippling space, sending humanity on the edge once more as the deities cheer for their vanguard. The arena cracked, it shifted as the ground broke, completely changing the terrain.

Swiftly, Mulan adjusted her stance. The mortal drove her foot onto a protruding portion of the floor behind her, aiming to anchor her as she had no time to dodge such a swift charge. Without any other choice available, Mulan raised her shield in an attempt to withstand the incoming attack.

The charge struck its mark, ending with Kālī slamming onto Mulan's shield with the tips of her trident. Her sword was then cloaked with a strange black energy that she used to stab into the shield, her sadistic grin growing wider as she felt Mulan struggling.

Then and there, Kālī drove her weapons forward with even more force, a roar escaping her throat that soon evolved into a fit of manic laughter.

"You getting serious yet, cutie?!" Kālī roared at Mulan's face.

Mulan winced upon receiving the full brunt of the attack before hearing the bones in her left arm snap. A scream of pain was let out which Kālī relished as the energy-cloaked sword and trident pierced through the shield with ease. Blood seeps out of the puncture wounds of Mulan's arm as the snapped bones pierce her skin.

Mulan can see the delight in Kālī's eyes and sees the goddess reaching out for her face. Mulan was about to be grabbed as her impaled left arm was dangerously close to her chest. The mortal heard Kālī's laughter but the Chinese warrior gave a roar of defiance, before using her right foot to stomp on the ground.

The gada near her foot was launched and sent flying upwards, severing the arm holding the trident in a gruesome display of bones, flesh, and blood. Kālī cried out in pain as splinters of her bones flew in different directions, her blood showering Mulan, and her flesh getting shredded after her gada blew it to pieces.

The goddess did not falter though, abandoning her sword and making distance as another set of arms grew. The right held a discus while the left gripped a goblet made out of a human skull.

The eyes of the goblet glow a faint red color before Kālī's pain turns into euphoria, converting the negativity she feels into something positive.

With a cackle, Kālī threw the discus she is holding which went straight to Mulan and gave the woman no time to react.

The discus spun wildly and whistled a haunting tune as it flew toward Mulan. It struck and ground the shield that Mulan kept up with her broken arm, cutting it slowly, akin to a buzzsaw going through lumber.

'This is not good! She's overwhelming me! How many things does she even have?!' Mulan panics in her mind, trying to stand her ground as the discus keeps on pushing her back whilst shredding her shield and breaking her arm even more.

While that was happening, Kālī took the opportunity to catch her gada using a free hand before chucking it toward Mulan. After it left her hand, she dashed, her speed still incredible but not as fast as before when she still had her trident in her grasp.

Being pinned to her position, Mulan had no chance to dodge and could only scream in pain as her left arm got obliterated by the flying mace. Blood splattered onto the ground, her face, and her body after the sounds of bones breaking and flesh ripping filled the arena. Due to the force exerted by the gada, the sword, and trident were sent flying upwards.

Mulan then ducks to avoid the gada coming for her face, along with the discus. The mortal looks up with a glare, her mind racing and finding a way to counter.

Upon seeing the airborne weapons, she jumps up high before kicking the tips of the trident which spun it around before kicking the other end, sending it flying at Kālī who had to dodge to the side.

The trident embedded itself deep into the cracked ground before Kālī snarls as her sword was also sent towards her, slicing off the arm that was holding her pink lotus.

The discus then glowed green before reversing its spin and tracing back its path. Kālī catches it with a hand before throwing it at the airborne Mulan.

Kālī then grabs the trident before abandoning her conch shell and grabbing her sword. Then, she jumps, heading to Mulan with a massive grin, her eyes bloodshot and shaking violently.

The discus was near with Kālī just behind it, making Mulan grimace at her situation. "Curse the deities," Mulan whines before snarling. "This goddess in particular!" She screams, annoyance lacing her voice as her eyes start flickering, a golden hue consuming the orbs that once were black.

As the distance between the two fighters draws closer, humanity was on the edge of their seats, anxious about what was to come while the deities roared with cheers and mockery.

"It's the end of the line, cutie!" Kālī cackles wildly as she surges forward with her spear and sword pointed at Mulan.

"For you, that is!" Mulan grins, her hair fluttering as her skin shone brightly.

A golden aura seeps out of Mulan's body, startling Kālī for a second but the goddess merely grinned after seeing what was happening.

The aura expanded and created a sphere around Mulan, sending the discus back to its path which Kālī caught before getting hit by the expanding translucent golden sphere.

The goddess was sent crashing down, creating a huge crater that goes meters deep. Kālī coughs blood, feeling her inside churn and move but only feeling pleasure due to her goblet.

Kālī watches Mulan float down, a golden translucent arm replacing her missing one, eyes glowing a bright golden hue that seemed to make the goddess' eyes hurt.

"W-what is this?! Mulan seemed to have a transformation! I believe that we never knew humans could achieve such feats! This is just mind-blowing!" Heimdall shouts from a distance, earning some reactions from the audience that ranges from awe, happiness, anger, and more.

Seeing the turn of events, Kālī's grin grew. Her body shook in excitement and anticipation of what was to come.

"D-damn right it is, absolutely wonderful," Kālī spoke, coughing up blood before rising to her feet, stumbling a little. "Mulan is already going all out, I need to return the favor. Hehe~!" The goddess giggles happily before growing her last pair of arms.

One holds a noose while the other forms the symbol of Abhaya Mudra, a gesture of blessings.

Soon, her ebony skin slowly turned pitch black as smoke started to rise from her whole body, filling the colosseum with the scent of burning flesh and bones. If one were to listen, one would hear sizzling noises coming from Kālī's body.

"O-oh?! Is this what I think it is?! Is Kālī finally using her strongest form?!" Heimdall screeches, making humanity nervous but they did not falter in their cheers whilst the deities only grew louder. "Yes! It seems like she's going to use the Rudra Tandava! She's going to rage, folks!"

...

"Oh, wow, she's really going to go all out on this?" Shiva said, sighing after standing up and leaning on the railings with the Jade Emperor on his right. "I haven't seen her in that form for thousands of years. It's the same form she had when I first met her."

"I sense imminent destruction coming from your consort, Shiva." The Jade Emperor admits with a frown. "I do hope that Mulan can overcome such an overwhelming force."

"Oi, you want my wife to die to that mortal, grandpa?" Shiva gave a glare to the Chinese deity who scoffs.

"Again, different mythologies, different rules." The Jade Emperor repeats with a frown. "I do not treat mortals like how the majority here would. Many mortals have proven they are worthy of my respect and Hua Mulan is one of them." Shiva's glare did not cease. "Her death will be a great loss for T'ien, so I am here, hoping that what she has to offer would be enough to conquer this challenge just like how she conquered her battles when she was still alive."

Hearing this, Shiva scoffs lightly, a small smile forming on his face. "Old man, I'm telling you. Kālī's true form is going to erase that woman from existence. Trust me, I've experienced it myself before she became my wife. There's a reason why Hindu is connected to doom most of the time." The Hindu god reveals, four arms crossed and pressed onto the railings.

The Jade Emperor sighs at the truth presented in front of him. "Then Mulan will not perish without a fight. She still has not used any of her special moves. Trust me on this Shiva, your consort will not come out of this battle unscathed, for what Mulan has is from the depths of T'ien's library."

"Geez, why not give the mortal your whole heaven at this point?" Shiva groans, making the Jade Emperor scoff, almost chuckling.

...

Then, the vertical slit on Kālī's forehead spread wide open, revealing a huge red eye with veins on it. Fire engulfs her whole form as she takes a step forward, a manic grin present on her face, tongue lolling out and hair flowing wildly.

Mulan on the other hand, sends some of her chi to fetch the discarded gada, equipping it to her translucent arm while the other held Randgriz.

"Hey, Randgriz?" Mulan calls out for her partner.

Soon, a translucent Valkyrie manifested beside her. Randgriz is a beautiful woman with long light brown hair cascading to her waist. She wears a classic white and black dress with golden plates on the waist, paired with black and white high-heeled boots featuring metal shin guards. A distinctive feature is her double-ended golden spear hairpin at the back of her head.

"Yes, Mulan?" The Valkyrie hums in response, floating beside her partner who twirled her jian.

"You think you can break all of her weapons?" The mortal asks with a laugh, smiling warmly as she walks.

"Well, we can definitely try it," was Randgriz's response, giggling at Mulan's question.

"Heh, good enough for me." Mulan grins before picking up the pace. "Let's give her pain, Randgriz!"

The Valkyrie then nods before vanishing, giggling, and returning to the jian as the sword faintly glows.

Soon enough, the two fighters were slowly walking towards each other, eyes glued to one another, waiting for one of them to make a move.

"This is it, people! It looks like we're reaching the final clash of our first battle! How long has it been? Twelve minutes already?! Wow, time sure flies when an intense battle is in front of our eyes!" The referee shouts, hyping up the audience as always. "Who will come up on top? Will it be Mulan? Or will it be Kālī?! We will know it in just a few more minutes!"

"No jokes now, cutie. This is really the end of the line for you!" Kālī said, her voice going deep and having an echo with it.

"And as I said, it's for you, that is," Mulan replies with a smile, spinning the gada and twirling her jian.

"I'm gonna fucking miss your cute face, cutie." Kālī laughs before blurring forward.

"Likewise," was Mulan's amused answer as she mirrored the goddess' action.

Just like that, the two vanguards clashed once again, and possibly for the last time, turning the arena into a mess of protruding rocks and debris.

Have mercy on my soul for I DO NOT know how to write a good action scene. I just like the Record of Ragnarok and the possibilities. Feel free to give tips though. :)
