Rhea's mind was racing as she tried to process what Justin had just told her. She had been living in fear of Victor for so long, and now it seemed like we was closing in.
"Victor has been trying to get to us, but he can't seem to pinpoint our location," he said. "However, he did manage to catch up with me on a business trip a few days ago."
Rhea's heart spanked. "What happened?" She asked, her voice barely above a whisper.
Justin expression turned grim. "He ambusher me but I fought him off," he said. "I almost killed him, but something held me back."
Rhea was scared.she knew that Justin was capable of violence, but hearing him talk about it so calmly sent a chill through her.
"What's going to happen now?" She asked, her voice shaking slightly.
"We need to get out of here, now," he said. "Victor's not going to give up easily, and I don't want you to get hurt."
Rhea nodded, her heart racing with anticipation. She knew that she had to trust Justin, no matter what.
Justin grabbed Rhea's hand and pulled her out of the apartment. They rushed down the stairs and out into the cool air night.
As they ran, Justin's phone buzzed with incoming messages. He glanced down and saw that Victor's men were closing in on their location.
They ran for several blocks, finally stopping at a small, nondescript car parked on the side of the road. Justin opened the door and pushed Rhea inside.
As they sped away from the curb, Rhea looked back and saw Victor's men standing in the distance, their faces twisted with anger.
As they drove, Rhea felt uneasy. She had no idea where they were going again, or what would happen.
She was lost in thought when Justin said, "We'll be safe," he said, his voice low and reassuring.
Rhea nodded, trying to believe him. After what felt like hours, Justin finally turned off the main road and onto a small, winding driveway. Rhea looked up to see a large, imposing house looming in front of them.
"Welcome to my family's country estate," he said.
Rhea's eyes widened as she took in the sprawling grounds and massive house. It was like something out of a fairy tale.
As they stepped out of the car, Rhea felt a sense of wonder wash over her. she had never seen anything like this before.
Justin led her into the house. Inside, Rhea was struck by the opulence and luxury that surrounded her. Everything was lavish and expensive, from the crystal chandeliers to the plush carpets.
As they walk through the house, Rhea couldn't help feel a sense of awe. she had never seen anything like this before.
Justin led her to a large, cozy room with a roaring fire. Rhea felt a sense of relieve wash over her as she sank into one of the plush armchairs.
Justin handed her a cup of steaming hot coffee. "Welcome to our sanctuary," he said.
As they sat there, sipping their coffee and watching the flames dance in the fireplace, Rhea felt peace. For the first time in weeks, she felt safe.
Justin sat beside her, his eyes fixed on the fire. He seemed lost in thought, his expression unreadable.
Rhea glanced over at him, feeling curious. What was it thinking about?
As if sensing her gaze, Justin turned to her. His eyes were cold and detached, but Rhea felt a flicker of warmth in their depths.
"Are you okay?" he asked, his voice low and rough.
Rhea nodded feeling a sense of gratitude towards him. "Thanks to you," she said.
Justin expression didn't change, but Rhea saw his eyes softening. "You're safe now," he said. "No one will hurt you while you're with me."
Rhea felt shivers at his words. There was something about Justin that made her feel safe, something that made her trust him despite his rough exterior.
As they sat there in silence, Rhea felt a sense of connection to Justin that she couldn't explain. It was as if they were bound together than just circumstance.
But despite the sense of safety he provided, Rhea couldn't helped but feel intimidated by Justin's cold demeanor. She wondered what lay beneath his reserved exterior, and whether she would ever be able to break the facade.
After a while, Justin stood up and gestured for Rhea to follow him. "I'll show you to your room," he said, his voice low and even.
Rhea followed him out of the living room and up a grand staircase. They walked down a long hallway lined with expensive-looking artwork and ornate furnishings.
Finally, they stopped in front of a door at the end of the hall. Justin pushed it open and gestured for Rhea to enter.
Rhea stepped inside and found herself ina beautiful bedroom with a large four-poster bed and a sitting area with a fireplace. The room was decorated in a elegant and understated style that she found very appealing.
Justin followed her into the room and walked over to the bed. He pulled back the covers and revealed a set of crisp, clean sheets.
"I'll have dinner sent up to you," he said.
"Thank you," she said.
Justin turned to leave. But as h reached the door, he turned back to Rhea.
"Get some rest," he said, his eyes locked on hers. "You're safe now."
And with that, he turned and walked out of the room.
Rhea got into the bed and tried to get some rest, but found herself unable to sleep. Her !imd was racing with thoughts of Justin and the mysterious estate.
As she lay there, she heard a faint noise coming outside her room. She sat up and listened intently, wondering if it might be Justin.
The noise grew louder and Rhea could tell that it was footsteps, coming from. The hallway outside her room.
Suddenly, the door to her room creaked open and Justin stood in the doorway, a look of concern on his face.
"Are you okay?" he asked.
Rhea nodded, feeling relieved. "I couldn't sleep," she said.
Justin walked over to the bed. He sat down beside her and looked at her with an intense gaze.
"I know it's been a tough few days," he said. "But I want you to know that youre safe here. No one will hurt you while you're under my protection."
Rhea was happy towards him and reached out to touch his arm. "Thank you," she said.
Justin looked at her hand on his arm and for a moment, Rhea thought she saw a flicker of emotion in his eyes. But then his expression returned to it's usual calm and collected state.
"I'll leave you to get some rest," he said, standing up. "If you need anything, just let me know."
Rhea nodded and watched as he walked out of the room.
