Chapter 46 - Chapter 46: Crazy advise

Soon Zazu landed beside Asafa looking worried.

"What really happened?" Asafa asked.

"After following them, I found Simba discussing with the crocodiles, trying to get them to leave the pride lands. It seemed like he wanted to get them to leave without violence."

"I assume that the corocdiles didn't agree?" Asafa said.

"Indeed, soon a fight broke out. The lions were overwhelmed by numbers but they did seem to hold on very well..." He said, but at the end he seems to become hesitant.

"What's happened then."

"Zazu is not certain if he should speak on supposition." Zazu said. The next part, he wasn't sure if he saw it correctly.

"Speak." Asada said.

"Tukufu was fighting from behind but it looked like he was keeping an eye on the battlefield and moving from different spots... That put his siblings and the other lions in dangerous situations..." Zazu said with uncertainty.

"... Was is intentionally?" Asafa asked with a heavy frown.

"... It seemed so from where I was..." Zazu said, he understood how big the claims he were making and if he was wrong, he might be putting a big blame on Tukufu, that's why he felt reluctant to share this.

But Zazu was also certain of what he had seen, it's just that Tukufu's intentions weren't absolutely clear, although it seemed like he was trying to get everyone on his team killed.

Asafa was looking at him as if he wanted more details.

"He seemed to position himself and push the crocodiles into better formations until the lions started getting overwhelmed... Soon everyone got injuries one by one."

"But your majesty, it might have been an accident!" Zazu said with hope.

"Do you believe so?" Asafa said with a flat tone.

"...no." Zazu's head fell down in sadness.

"What happened then?" He asked.

"It seemed like Tukufu miscalculated as a crocodile attacked him, taking him by surprise. Mohatu saw this jumped in front of Tukufu, he almost sacrificed his life to save Tukufu." Zazu explained.

Asafa started walking in circles again, distressed by everything he had heard.

Zazu looked at Asafa in worry, feeling the same distress. He had already survived a Scar, he didn't want to see another one.

"Continue." Asafa said as he kept walking in circles.

"Tukufu seemed to completely blank out at the fact that Mohatu was about to sacrifice his life to save him, luckily Simba succeed in helping out both of them. But the formation Tukufu had put the corocdiles in, gave the crocodiles an edge as they formed a crescent around them..." Zazu looked at Asafa, who seemed to be in deep thought.

"They attacked Mohatu and Simba, they were about to be killed by 6 crocodiles, but Tukufu seemed to come alive and pushed his uncle and brother away into the perfect position to fight back, but he was atacked in their stead. The crocodiles halted in shock before one of them attacked and bit off his foot. Luckily, Simba and Mohatu were put in a good position to fight back as they had the other lions beside them." Zazu said.

He saw that Asafa was furious at what Tukufu had done.

"But your majesty, it seemed like Tukufu regretted his actions! if it wasn't for his intervention, pushing Simba and Mohatu into a better position, which led to the fact that the lions could recover and in the end win... Most likely, all of them would've died." Zazu said, trying to explain how he saw repentence in Tukufu's eyes before sacrificing himself.

"..."

"They fought the battle for a long time before killing almost all the corocdiles, a few of the crocodiles escaped. And they sustained injuries but they won in the end because this time, Tukufu seemed to position his siblings into a winning formation, at least he did that before passing out."

Zazu tried to ease Asafa worries, but he himself wasn't so certain.

"That's enough Zazu, you can leave... Thank you... " He said before turning away and walking away.

Asafa kept walking, he didn't know what to do. He should kill Tukufu so that a similar situation doesn't happen again, but at the same time, Tukufu was his son... And he sincerely loved him, not to speak of his other children and Zahara... Who would all be heartbroken.

But dose Tukufu's repentance matter when the damage was still done? He did his best to save the lions in the end... But the damage was done and he almost killed everyone, intentionally.

He wasnt sure what to do so he kept walking towards a big tree where a crazy monkey lived.

After walking for a while, he came to the abode of Rafiki.

"What gives Rafiki the honor of the king's visit on such a lovely day?" Rafiki's voice came from behind Asafa, as he was about to shout for the monkey.

"Ah Rafiki... Look at the stars, it isn't day." Asafa corrected him. He seemed to wise at times, and at others, he seemed slightly out of it.

Seing Rafiki did calm down Asafa slightly.

"No, no, it is daytime somewhere, it's you who can't see it." Rafiki said.

Had another lion heard these words, he would've thought that Rafiki is crazy, but Asfa knew that Rafiki was right.

"The light might not be visible to you, but it doesn't mean that it's night, you're just looking at it from the wrong side! Whahah you crazy monkey hahah!" Rafiki said before laughing like a mad man.

"You're the crazy monkey here... I need your advice... Stop playing around." Asafa said in a chuckle.

"Why would a wise king need the advice of a crazy monkey?" He asked as he climbed up a branch and sat on it.

"Because even someone wise might fall into darkness, while the crazy one might see moments of light."

"But Rafiki disagrees." Rafiki said with a big grin.

Asafa raised a brow.

"Didn't Rafiki tell you, you're in day time right now, you see light." He said

*Sigh* "Rafiki, something happened today and I need your advice." He repeated again.

"You were in darkness before you realised your place in the circle of life... But you changed, and now you're different. Raifki won't speak for the crazy monkey you were before turing to your senses. Now you're in the light, why would rafiki give advice to the you in the dark?" Rafiki said in a chuckle.

Asafa was about to argue but stopped himself.

'Is this monkey telling me... That I shouldn't punish Tukufu for his evils when he was in darkness... But instead cultivate the light he has come to???' Asafa came to a realisation as he looked at the monkey in surprise.

"Have you realised it yet?" Rafiki said.

Asafa just stared at him in amazement.

Rafiki jumped down and came closer to Asafa to whisper the complete truth to him.

"You are in a mana LALA CHALLA TRALLA YALLA YALLA BANANA NANA HAHA LALA!" He started jumping around crazily again.

Asafa laughed and realised that the wise monkey had given him another great advice.

Asada realised that he should try to make sure that Tukufu still has goodness in him, and if he does, he should work on magnifying that light.

But only when he's sure that Tukufu is devoid of light, should he think about the death sentence or banishment.

"Haha thank you Rafiki!" He said before turning around and running back.

He trusted the old advicor of his father who seemed to know more than he should, and seemed to know the answers to many things.

As Asafa ran away, Rafiki halted in surpise and just stared at the disappearing Asafa for a while.

"Hey.... Didn't you come for advice? Why are you leaving before I can give it?" The monkey asked flabbergasted. But Asafa had already to far to hear.

Rafiki liked to play with the lions before helping them out... But Asafa ran away before he could give his advice... He just said some words of light and darkness to confuse the lion...

Rafiki stood there with his jaw slightly ajar.
