" Give me a child or you will never live here for the rest of your life " the man's voice sent chills down Amanda's spine.
Through the heavy curtains, Amanda couldn't see the man's face , but the intense pressure made her shudder with fear .
" I don't want to ! " Amanda was scared but she firmly refused .
In the dimly lit room she could see the man's tall and straight figure pause for minute , followed by a sneer.
Beads of sweat gathered on her forehead.
At this moment she thought she was trapped in a nightmare.This is not the first time she had had this dream .
Thinking of what the man was going to do next, Amanda became impatient and wanted to wake up as soon as possible .
However, this moment she seemed to have merged with the girl on the bed and couldn't break free from the dream no matter how hard she tried to tell herself that it was just a dream and she needed to wake up quickly.
The man behind the curtains was walking towards her. A panic that came from the depths of her bones made Amanda shrink her body and keep retreating. She opened her eyes wide wanting to see the man's face. Countless times she had fallen into this dream and she wanted to know who this man was and why he came into her dreams.
However, when the curtains opened her vision blurred once again and she was disappointed. The same nightmare struck again and she couldn't see the man's face.
" Miss we have arrived at Sunshine villa, the fare is eighty three dollars "
Amanda suddenly woke up and realised that she had fallen asleep in a cab.
She wiped the sweat from her forehead,paid the fare and got out of the car.
A cold wind blew against her making her shiver. It's been a while since she had a dream about a stranger and todays dream made her feel uneasy.
As she opened the door to the villa, she saw her house help Jane hurry out the kitchen in a panic .
" Master William is back " Jane said nervously and glanced up the stairs feeling uneasy.
" What ? William is back?!" Amanda said with her low spirit suddenly lifted as she looked at Jane in disbelief.
He was supposed to call her before he came.
She hurriedly ran upstairs not noticing Jane's hesitation. But she didn't have time to clam down her excitement.
The next second, all of Amanda's excitement wer shattered by the sudden appearance of a woman in front of her.
" You bring me a glass of water "
A beautiful woman slightly older than her but not more than William in a bathrobe asked as she walked out William's bedroom.
As soon as she saw Amanda, a glint of surprise flashed through her eyes , but she quickly regained her composure and continued to give orders as though she didn't know her.
The woman was a top tier model Lia and she was also rumoured as William's girlfriend but the truth was that she Amanda was his girlfriend.
Amanda's face became pale and she felt dizzy . For a moment, she stared at the woman's face unsure of where she was.
"Are you not thirsty? Why are you still standing there ?" a familiar voice came from the bedroom , but it abruptly stopped when he saw Amanda.
Amanda shuddered all over and stiffly lifted her head meeting the sea blue eyes .
In an instant , she felt something had pricked her eyes causing her to almost burst into tears.
She momentarily froze as she gaze at the now William who was shirtless with only a towel wrapped around his waist.
"Darling who is she ? How did she end up in your house? " Lia asked unwilling to be ignored. She reached out to William's arm and hugged him looking at him innocently.
Amanda stood there, watching the two embrace each other intimately with her whole body trembling uncontrollably.
They had been dating for over five years and he promised to marry her immediately he returned . He had even proposed to her and she was wearing the engagement ring .
She stared at the two people in front of her, her whole heart was tearing into pieces.
The pain she felt in her heart was as though a knife was pierced through it.
Just as she was about to question William about the identity of the woman, he seemed not to notice her and pinched Lia's chin , playfully rubbing her nose and saying
" It's just nobody, jealous are we?"
Amanda's words got stuck in her throat .
What wad William saying ? just nobody ? .
Was this the same man who used to tenderly speak to her and promised to love and spend his lifetime with her and only her ?
" William I am thirsty. Can you ask her to bring me a glass of water" Lia asked
" sure" he replied
Looking up at Amanda who had a pale face and watery eyes , he ordered " We have things to do. Go ask Jane to bring up to glasses of water."
After saying that, he led Lia back to the room.
Amanda watch the closed door and all she could think of were William's words.
So she just watched the man she loved dearly bring another woman to the house he promised was going to be for them and their future children.
A chill ran through her heart about what was happening behind the closed door.
Her chest felt as if a large stone was blocking it ,suppressing her breath and her head was buzzing . Amanda clearly felt a string in her heart snap.
She couldn't take it anymore and fiercely covered her eyes turned around and run down the stairs.
