An overwhelming and oppressive feeling was spread throughout the entire Hall.
---- Silence ----
Utter silence, not even the sound of breathing could be heard.
If shown from an outsider's prospective, one would say that this was a painting. Because the silence was so great that it seemed as it time itself had stopped.
For a few seconds, everyone's mind was already occupied with the previous events, so to say that this had given them the final blow for mentally breaking down wouldn't be wrong.
Still, no one was willing to speak up, no, no one was foolish enough to speak. No one was--
"What bullshit are you speaking?! Open the damn door! I'll forgive you if you kneel and beg for mercy, otherwise don't hope to see the light of a next day, Hmpf!"
Well, never mind. It seems that there was still some idiot who didn't value his life. No, calling him an idiot will be an insult to idiotic people instead. He was much better described as a dickhead, someone that thinks with his dick instead of his brain.
""""....""""
All eyes went towards him. Most of them felt a sweat slide on their cheek. Was this guy insane?! Did he want to take all of them with him to death?!?!
However, just as someone was about to move forward to control that idiot, a voice was heard from the second floor, from the mouth of the same person who claimed to be "God".
"Ah, of course. I humbly apologize, I will open the door at once~" The man announced by the System as God said.
Right than, the doors of the hall opened, allowing them to see outside. Surprisingly for everyone, they couldn't see any chaos outside.
'Did the system not announce the prior things to "Everyone"?' Yeonha thought.
She didn't even cared to look at the dickhead who wanted his death. For all she wanted, he could just go die in the worst scenario and she wouldn't bat an eye. She minded her own business, after all, unlike that idiot, she valued her life.
"Ah, you could have done this sooner, you know?! Now, if you do so much as to come to our base and kiss my shoes, I will let you off the hook." The dickhead said.
Now that Yeonha had a good look at him, he was your typical cliché fat young master of some large business family. However, as far as she was concerned, this insult to a man didn't belong to any well-known family. Well, even if he did, nothing would change.
The man walked with fast steps towards the door in an arrogant manner as if he owned the place.
*Zaaap*
However, just as he "touched" the space and was about to pass through, a hard electric shock struck his body.
"GAAAAHH!!!" Feeling extreme pain, he instantly backed away from the door, a terrified expression on his face.
"Y-Y-YOU! YOU WILL PAY FOR--"
"SHUT THE FUCK UP"
Hajin's, or well, God's voice echoed throughout the hall.
"Do you think you're in any position to question me?" Hajin asked, his eyes glitching red. It was as if someone else was taking over him, someone different from the person "Kim Hajin", but also not this so-declared "God".
"That's funny. Funny coming from a lousy rat from some shitty group of dickheads who claim that they want to "remake" the world, kekekeke" He said, seemingly amused.
"What are you-- Mm?! Mmph!!!" He tried to retort, but felt his lips moving against his will and closing. Getting cut off in the middle, he couldn't utter a word.
"That's better. Well, you'll be killed soon anyways, not like you shutting your mouth for a few seconds before death will change anything~" He said as he turned his face to the rest of the people present, his eyes following and gazing at the entire hall.
"Just like the rest of your friends present here..." He said.
""...""
Most people were confused by his last line. But those who understood what that implied, specifically those who could be classified as the "your friends" just now in the audience, shrieked. Their faces turned to horror as they realized that they had been caught up in a trap.
A honey trap that would cost them their dear sweet life...
"Mm, i-i-if you don't mind me a-asking, w-what do you m-m-mean by that?"
Someone actually had the courage to ask the question of the millennium.
"Hmm? Ah, of course, you guys don't know. Well, you'll be finding that out right now." He said as he flicked his finger.
Multiple magic circles appeared above some of the people in the hall, and with some flashes of lightening, the circles disappeared, covering the bodies of the person they are hovering above with light for a short time before revealing their true appearance.
"....!!" Everyone in the hall widened their eyes even further in shock, with only a few exceptions. Those being people who already knew of the event or Hajin or had correctly guessed what his statement implied and understood that they couldn't do anything.
The people above whom the magic circle hovered stood there, with their appearance completely changed to a shocking degree. Their appearance was now that of hideous looking creatures, some with tentacles, horns, or various other features only found in monsters, or more specifically, in Djinns.
"Djinns?!?!" Some of the people voiced their thoughts, while the others backed away in shock, alerted and their senses guard.
Meanwhile, the said "Djinns" were shocked themselves, how did they get revealed?! And so easily at that?!?!
But of course, those of them who are quick on thinking swiftly moved to a corner with their other "fellows" and "friends".
"Damn it, this wasn't in the script!" One of them thought.
"The mission was an utter failure. We need to get out of here before we get killed!" Another said, this one stood out the most among them. Surprisingly, the reason was his more "Humane" features unlike the others, who had practically turned into complete monster-looking creatures.
"But how? How are we supposed to go out of that barrier?! HOW?!?! I don't want to die, heee!" Another one said.
"Stay composed. Nothing is impossible in the realm of magic. If we focus our magic and focus on our links to our lords, I'm SURE that we can destroy the barrier." He tried to reason himself.
"Heh~ Not so easily..." They heard a voice they knew and now hated all too well.
"I have disabled the use of magic on the entire island. Also, the barrier is not something magical, but a dimensional barrier. You won't be able to get out of here with your so called "magic"~" The man said.
Hajin stated with amusement in his eyes. He, or GOD, was really enjoying this.
'It's been a while since I have experienced pleasure from something like this...maybe Ciel's habits have gotten in me too... I should punish her later, hehehe...' though the supreme being.
[A/N : ;) ]
"Hey! Kim Sung! Get out of your thoughts... we have to get out of here!!" Said one of the Djinns to his comrade, who was experiencing despair right now... not the optimal situation for him....
"Enough." Hajin said and muttered something in a slow voice that no one could hear,
"Create Skill : Type : Deletion : [Disintegration]
Causality : Narrative Erasure"
Just like that, he created another skill, a broken one at that, a skill that would be the end of all of his enemies.
Of course, the process wouldn't be this simple usually, however, this was not Hajin creating the skill, but God. All the complex calculations behind the making of such a balance-defying skill was done by him on a whim. After all, this skill was originally a magic from the first reality, his original reality, he already knew every law behind it, as well as every other possible skill that could be made using the [Skill Creation] gift.
"Active Mass [Disintegration]" He said aloud, the next moment, countless individual magic circles appeared in the hall, each beneath a Djinn. However, they weren't limited to just the building, the circles had appeared in the entire country of England.
'People' who didn't know the circles beneath them, where confused and didn't know what to do. They tried doing some simple actions, like trying to move away for example, but the magic circle followed them.
Meanwhile the pedestrians who weren't a target to these, were curiously staring at any person near them who had a magic circle beneath themselves.
Of course, Hajin, or well, the Supreme being, would take care of all of them at once, or at least the ones in England. After all, he wasn't one of those beings in Manhwas and Novels who would want the protagonist to suffer a lot of trouble, just seeing a lovey-dovey couple living a casual life was entertaining for him.
As someone who had lived as several avatars in various scenarios, he knew how the protagonists felt in those situations, and he had no plans to let that happen to someone he had taken an interest in.
"I guess, this is goodbye?" Hajin said as he looked at the Djinns, tilting his head, and giving off a smile that was unusually scary from their POV.
"Wha--"
Before the man could continue, he suddenly felt his body experiencing heat, sudden increase in temperature that he couldn't identify the cause of. This wasn't only him, but everyone who had a circle beneath themselves.
A second later, bright light came out of the circles, completely encompassing their respective targets. Not even screams could be heard as the light instantly erased the targets from existence.
"...." Even though the number of people in the hall had decreased by more than 2/3rd, the silence hadn't decreased one bit.
As for the second floor, Evandel was enjoying the "show" her daddy arranged with stars in her eyes, while Rachel was simply enjoying tea. She knew that thinking about the irregularities with Hajin would lead to nothing, not to mention, at this point, she herself had become an anomaly comparable to Hajin himself.
Meanwhile, Queen Elizabeth was observing Hajin, or more specifically, the magic circle[?] he used just now.
'I need to learn that somehow, it could be very useful for getting rid of pests on a mass scale...'
Arthur on the other hand was surprised... a lot. As the one who had known and talked with him the least in the family, it could be said that he knew almost nothing about Hajin, other than what he heard while Hajin, Rachel, and his wife were talking.
He was a busy man! Not only that, he didn't want to get on the bad side of his dear wife again... that woman was scary! One would say that Arthur was just being weak in front of his wife and strong in front of other, but they weren't in his position!!
**
While our Royalty was in their own world, the first floor audience was having a mental crisis, especially those who held some level of influence in society, and understood just how much of an absurd thing Kim Hajin had done.
'This would get out of hand the instant those reporters know of this....' Yeonha thought.
"*sigh* more work...." Yeonha thought, but accidently said it aloud, enough for those near her to hear, but they didn't really care because they were too focused on Kim Hajin, something Yeonha was glad about...
"Well well...." We heard a familiar voice coming from the second floor, and shifted our attention there, only to see that Kim Hajin had again come back on the front stage.
"Most of you may be confused as to what is happening right now, what is all this about, and what exactly happened to all those peoples that just Disappeared... I should do a little explaining I guess..." Hajin spoke in the mic while sighing.
"First of all, the people you saw just disappear were Djinns, more specifically, they were Djinns targeting the White Crystal that was supposed to be "explained", and was the main goal of this event, to gather supporting companies that would be interested in investing on this research..."
"However, that was only the goal on the surface. The meeting in truth was organized by the Royal Family, not the Rotton Corporation, something.... right, Mr. Zelen?" Hajin asked while turning his face slightly towards Zelen, who was sitting on a luxurious chair at the side, wanting to remain outside of what was happening right now...
"Y-yes? Ah, right Yes, everything was already arranged!" He exclaimed as if in a hurry than shut up again. Seeing this, Arthur sighed and Elizabeth and Rachel let out small laughs as to how easy it had been for Hajin to make Zelen spit whatever he wants from his mouth.
Meanwhile, Zelen was just too scared to even say anything else. No! He wasn't a part of this.... he just wanted to stay out of this trouble for the sake of a safe future!
"Continuing... the actual main goal of this event was to gather all the Djinns, at least those in England, at one place and get rid of them all together, which would be much more effective than finding their whereabouts one by one. On the same line, the magic circles you saw just now were all Erasure Magic, one of the many things I can do.... and..." He paused and gave a small smile that gave literal creeps to the people who saw it, "Another reason for you to know why you shouldn't mess with me or my family..."
No, even if we wanted to, we never would, because we don't want to die! Was what most of the people wanted to say, but they obviously kept their mouth shuts. An example had already been made as to what will happen to anyone who needlessly spouts nonsense.... Death.
"Of course, this doesn't mean all the Djinns are gone for good. Only the Djinns in England are gone, the other countries' Djinn communities still exist, although they would probably go into silence for a while now.... Erasing every Djinn on the planet is something even I might have difficulty facing..."
Of course, this was a complete lie, but why tell them everything? If he did that, everyone on this planet would become too dependent on him, something he never wanted in the least.
Hajin didn't mind his family, especially Rachel and Evandel, depending on him, actually, he liked him. But of course, that only applied to family. He couldn't care less if the planet was destroyed, because it would eventually be recreated by the Supreme Being. What he did care for was the fact that Rachel or Evandel may become sad if Earth was destroyed, after all, while he did not, Rachel and Evandel belonged to this world, they were born in it, of course they wouldn't want it to be destroyed.
"That was all... as for some of our special guests... please come to the guest room after this event is over..." He said as he walked to Zelen and handed him the mic, concluding his speech and going back to his seat where he could finally relax... yes, even if it wasn't much, it was still tiring! If it wasn't physically tiring, it was tiring mentally!
No, even if it wasn't, Hajin was, in core, a lazy person. Even when he just came to this world and had to survive, he barely was able to do so and keep his laziness at bay!
Anyways.... with that, the actual event was concluded. Of course, Zelen, finding the opportunity, didn't miss the change to still advertise his company, something that... well, didn't go well....
After all, the minds of every individual were occupied with what Hajin said, his powers, today's absurd events, and everything that happened.
Heck, even a System Window popped up to show that the 2nd main event had ended, but it was ignored by most of the people present.
Meanwhile, certain individuals still sat on their seats quietly and waited for everyone else to leave, after all, what just happened had nothing to do with what they wanted...
