After we had hung up the posters, all we had to do was wait for the date that we had written on the posters. The posters had read "Meet at study room 12 in the library if interested." However, when the day had come, as we waited in the study room for 12:00, nobody seemed to be coming. five minutes later, still no one. 5 more minutes, no one. As the minutes passed, all me and Artemis could do was wait nervously. Silently.
After around a minute, we realize that we are in the wrong room.
"seriously?"
"Yup. Look." We stood outside the door, looking at the door number which read, "11".
"God dammit." I realize that maybe that meant that there was people actually wiling to join, waiting patiently for us in room 12. I open the door to room 12 and step in, but immediately crash into someone, sending both of us tumbling to the ground.
"Ow!" they say.
"Sorry! I'm so sorry!" I say, reaching out a hand to them to help them up. As we both stand up, I look around the room. It's absolutely packed. chatter fills my ears, and I wave to Artemis to follow me. We push our way through the crowd to a table in the center of the room. I stand at the head of the table. I take one last look around the room, and yell,
"Everybody! May I have your attention!?" The room goes silent and everybody turns to look at me. "I gathered all of you here because there is a terrible problem which needs to be handled." They stare at me, willing me to continue. "There are terribly huge fires arising all over the world, and they are becoming increasingly hard to handle. My name is Seal, and this is my friend, Artemis." I gesture towards Artemis, and the rooms attention shifts to him.
"I am a rain dancer, and Seal is a low ranked rain maker. however, he is more powerful than he may seem. Two weeks ago, he extinguished an entire fire all by himself. Yes, it was the town square fire. Yes he is that rain maker." As the room's attention shifts back to me, sweats drips down my forehead. What did they think of me?
Multiple voices explode suddenly from all throughout the room.
"Wait, he's not a rain dancer?"
"I thought that was jut a rumor!"
"He must be a rain dancer!"
"Quiet down!" Artemis shouts. The room returns to it's former silence. Artemis sighs. "Anyways, we need your help. We need you to help us travel all over the world and put out the fires." Artemis observes the room. The people look at each other, and then to us. "If you wish to join, than stay here. If not, you may leave." A few people swim through the crowds to the door, and leave the room.
"The first fire we need to deal with, is in Joan city."
