We turned to face him and I felt Seth stiffen. I wrapped an arm around his waist and pulled him against me.
"Seth, we can not accept having a gay son," he spoke so calmly with no emotion in his voice.
Seth turned his head so it was facing my chest. I felt him lean against me as silent sobs racked his body. I glared at his father as he continued.
"I understand that you've done a lot for us and yes, we have never thanked you for it. We have appreciated what you have done but unfortunately, like you said, it will never be enough for us."
He then turned to me, his cold eyes unnerving against his heated skin. I could tell he was uncomfortable.
"He is now your husband," you could hear the venom in his voice. "So, I expect you to honour the arrangement."
"Dad!" Lisa called out. "Seth shouldn't get to live this life, he doesn't deserve it! I do!"
"Be quiet!" Mr Timber barked.
"No Dad, it's not fair! Lucias is handsome and rich. He's so much richer than us," she stamped. "He needs a wife and I deserve to be that wife! This should be my life, not his!"
"Sit down!" he shouted at her and her mother pulled her down.
He glared at her for a short time before turning back to me.
"We have kept our end of the arrangement," he spoke resolutely.
I nodded, "That is true you have. I have one addendum to add to the contract before it's complete though."
"What!" he seethed and I held up a hand.
"Don't worry, it won't be a hard decision for you," I told him.
Seth looked up, his red eyes stared at me with a slight hint of fear.
"This is also up to you Seth," I told him quietly. "I want you to come and work for me, to give up taking over inheriting your father's company. What do you say?"
"He can't do that! He is my son and needs to take over the business once I go," his father demanded.
"No I don't," Seth whispered. "You have never treated me like your son. I was just someone you used, insulted and sneered at whenever you wanted. You said you wanted me and Lisa to take over, but only I was forced to learn how to."
He turned to me, straightened himself up and smiled.
"I'd love to work here with you," he smiled then turned back to his father. "Like you always taught me, actions have consequences."
I beamed at Seth as he turned from his father and took a deep breath.
"I do not accept this change. My blood, my son needs to take over my company," his father demanded again.
"Well, that is a shame," my father added with a smirk. "If you don't agree to the new condition Alfred then I'm afraid I will have to pull the contract. Though it does state that he has to marry a child of yours, it also says in the contract that if anything happens to sully my son's image then the contract is voided."
Everyone but me looked at him with confused eyes.
"After the wedding, we had to imply that many people in attendance were homophobic. There was a lot of backlash about that, as many of them were good friends. Many of them complained about Lucias, the stocks even took a little hit. Now luckily, it was only a dip but it still cost us."
Inwardly, I smirked. My Father was good at telling tales and that's all this was. No one had complained, our stocks didn't dip in fact they increased. Not wanting to appear homophobic they tried to get on our good side.
"Also your daughter, I am told, insulted me in her letter and then further in her text to my husband. So you see, the contract is actually voided already. However, I am willing to continue the contract if you agree to this condition."
"I said that about your Father, not you!" Lisa insisted.
"No, you said that about your soon-to-be husband and then later Seth's husband. Just because you believed it to be my father doesn't matter."
"So?" I asked, turning to his father.
"Seems I have no choice!" he growled.
"Great, Henry has already prepared the new contract all you need to do is sign," I told him.
Henry placed the contract in front of him and he readily signed before starting to leave.
"Oh and if I find out that any of you have contact with Seth that is harmful, upsetting or in any other way negative. I will show you exactly what my lawyers can do to your insignificant company faster than you can blink."
His parents stopped for a moment before leaving. Lisa watched them go then took a step towards Seth.
"I'm really sorry Seth, I know that I acted selfish and I haven't been a good sister. I hope you can forgive me and still let me be in your life, after all, we are twins. You've always had a place in my heart, I know I don't show it very well."
I glared at how shameless she was being. What did she think would happen? Did she think that by apologising, Seth would let her leech off of him, or me? Will he? Seth turned to face his sister and his eyes were dark, lidded. I could tell this wasn't going to end well for her.
"Lisa, thank you for your apology," he smiled.
Lisa smiled and reached out her hand. She patted her stomach and beamed at him.
"You're going to be an uncle," she smiled. "How about we leave our toxic parents together and you can help me raise your little nephew."
"How can he do that? You've already had the abortion," I told her.
Seth gasped and looked back at me.
"I knew there was something I was forgetting to tell your parents."
I pulled out another medical bill and passed it to Seth. He stared in shock at it before looking back at Lisa. It was clear his sister was playing him again.
"I can explain," she started but he shook his head.
