Chapter 5 - Two Red Suns

/* That will be your unfortunate destiny, Because you were Fated to be Unworthy. */

Jason got an idea upon hearing those words & decided to make his gambit thinking 'what's the worse that could happen'. So just as he was about to be sent back to his new world, he spoke:

"If you came to the conclusion that I'm unworthy of becoming strong, then you have definitely flawed imperfections in the process by which you found me unworthy. That's not an overconfidence in my self or a wish to prolong the inevitable for my dying self. That's just a cold hard fact that you seem to have overlooked upon."

/* I have analyzed the genetic make up of your self, strength and energy density & capacity of your soul, your body and soul will break apart on reaching the initial stage of cultivation. */

"So you're saying the mighty Empyrean Heavens don't have a way to strengthen a mortal's body and soul just enough to make him a cultivator."

"You guys can invade a Universe, mash planets together, summon people to this weird place & make me learn a new language in a matter of seconds all to get strong cultivators but you can't make me just strong enough to bear the initial stage of whatever this cultivation is suppose to be."

"Just how pathetic are you people?" Jason replied with a domineering and angry voice.

/* It's not a matter of what the Heavens can't do, You are not worth the extra effort to upset the established balance. */

Just as Jason thought, there is a way for him to survive and take care of his loved ones but for that he needs to extract the necessary resources from these invaders. Moreover he was getting a feeling that this was not a living being that he was speaking to but rather some kind of machine? the way the voice didn't react to his earlier outburst and provocation.

"So you're saying I need far more resources to showcase my talents to the heavens."

/* Yes */

"Doesn't that mean I will be much stronger than your average cultivator when I become a cultivator?"

/* No, There is no data to make that observation. */

"But that doesn't mean it can't be the truth. I'll have to struggle more than your average cultivator to start cultivation but doesn't more struggle means more gains in terms on strength ?"

"After all, don't diamonds form in extreme temperature and pressure applied over more than a billion years?"

"At least that's how they used to form in my universe out of carbon."

"Anyways, since you don't have any observations, it can be that those others you've judged unworthy are all trash, or it can be that they're all diamonds yet to be formed, or it can be that I'll be the sole experiment of the group that'll be successful."

"In any case, can you afford to let the opportunity of having a potential stronger than average cultivator under your heavens go to waste just for resources that'll be without a doubt a measly sum for you guys?"

DOS started analyzing this conversation and he couldn't find any flaw in the logic of this mere mortal. So, he contacted Minerva and asked for her guidance as she instructed it to report any deviations after she got tied up to that boundless fate.

Minerva observed the conversation with a smile & she could feel her fate was tide to this mortal boy, after she heard everything, she directly spoke to Jason in a commanding voice:

"You maybe clever and have way with words but that does not mean it is justifiable that you have such a high opinion of yourself."

Hearing such a commanding yet at the same time calming, feminine & melodious voice, Jason was at loss for words for a few seconds but he quickly recovered & spoke in polite yet firm voice:

"I spoke in such a way not because of ignorance but rather firm conviction in my ability to bear extreme pain & hardships and find hope in a hopeless situations."

Minerva smiled and asked: "So if I gave you a trial that'll make you stronger after you finish it but finishing it requires you to bear immeasurable pain and hardships, will you be so bold as you are with your words and take this trial?"

"Will taking this trial allow me to take care of my mother and sister before something bad happens to them? & are they also judged unworthy like me or do they get to integrate into new world?"

"You'll be able to take care of them and yes, they're in your world's tutorial realm."

"Then I agree to take this trial."

Minerva Smiled & put aside the harp like musical instrument she was playing and stood up. She closed her eyes and extracted nearly of her eternal divinity, made the parameters of trial engraved on it and erased her signature from it and opened a portal and sent it to Jason who was waiting for the nightmare to begin.

"Remember little one why you're taking this hardship & when you feel lost remember your loved ones." Minerva said in a caring voice.

"Hmm, Losing almost all my divinity is really exhausting, Oh well couple of years of divine cultivation should bring me to my peak strength." she thought and went to her time dilation chamber to meditate and returned after a few seconds in her peak condition with her divinity restored.

(Not any other gods, be it eternal, greater, or normal can restore their divine essence (divinity) in such a speedy fashion.)

In front of Jason a small portal appeared & a big football sized golden ball appeared from it before it was closed.

Then, Jason heard her caring words & took a little a little comfort in them.

The ball appeared in front of Jason before silver colored walls appeared out of nowhere and covered Jason in every direction, he was not in that weird space place anymore or was he? he didn't know since he was trapped inside a huge cuboid of silver walls with golden ball next to him shining like a sun.

Suddenly his world turned upside down and he dropped in a red barren land that seemed to be deserted of any type of life, with temperature at least 48 degrees Celsius due there being two red suns on the top of this landscape.

Yeah two fucking red suns.
