Before the reinforce was arrived one of the officer informed the Generals with contemporize situation about the sudden invasion. "Sir, it seems that the unknown creature is moving away suddenly."
"How?" Liam was curious about it.
Unexpectedly, the central phone on the room rang so loud. "Please speak up", Alya was answering the call.
"This is Evan speaking ma'am," Evan was identifying himself, "you may... want to see who defeat that creature."
The generals were giving an exchange look and curious at the same time. "Continue." Liam was ordering Evan to speak more.
"We found out that the students from the Legion Academy, are the one who defeated the creature," Evan told the generals with disbelief tone that came from his words.
"What is the evidence?"
Mayor Evan sent a video through the hologram computer that lie surround the generals. The general surprised with the evidence they saw. The video was played all along with the their eyes focus on Kai's abilities that are visible through it.
"I took it from the data that we can get through all the access available, it is still unknown who are these people, generals." Evan continued.
"Then how can you be so sure that they came from the Legion Academy?" Nathan questioned him.
"The girl's armor is Nano psychic armor sir," Evan answered the doubt of Nathan. "I believe this is only available if they are part of the Legion."
Maya rewind the video back to make sure that Evan was not wrong with what she saw, her eyes wide open, they know that Alethea's armor was indeed the Nano psychic armor. However, they were more surprise with kai's power. They never seen powerful weapons and armor like Kai used.
"Find out who they are," Dominic commanded him, "once you find them, bring them to us."
"Sir, Yes sir" Evan responded.
Dominic shut down the call while his curiosity raised. He was still disbelief young peers could defeat the high level threat with a less effort like they did with a full army.
"The two of them, has a good chemistry." Maya watched the video back.
"I am more interested with the guy with the white armor," Nathan shared his thought with them. "I do believe his power can defeat our entire army."
"If these people are from the Legion Academy, this is going to be massive additional power for us." Liam suddenly spoke up.
"Isn't that interesting Liam?" Alya smiled. "This could be send us a little surprise from this moment."
**********************************
Mayor Evan strode through the long halls of the Legion Academy, his polished boots clicking against the marble floors. The folks, including the academy's grandeur was overwhelming, with his sudden visit on the academy. Yet, Evan's gaze was sharp, focused. He had one purpose here: to confirm his suspicions about the young student who had slain the elder dragon, Akhekh. After his scouts' discoveries and the evidence he had collected, everything pointed to Kai and Alethea. Now, he sought the truth from the academy's revered leader, Grandmaster Mahendra.
As Evan entered the grandmaster's office, he was met with an air of authority that matched the man seated behind the desk. Mahendra, a figure of quiet power with streaks of gray in his hair and piercing eyes that seemed to see through any deceit, looked up from a stack of parchments. The room itself reflected the man—organized and imposing, lined with A collection of books, holographic tablets, and various gadgets adorned the shelve. Mahendra gestured for Evan to take a seat, his expression curious but reserved.
"Mayor Evan," Mahendra began, "to what do I owe this unexpected visit? The Academy rarely entertains matters of politics."
Evan placed a sealed envelope on the desk, his movements deliberate. "This isn't politics, Grandmaster. It's a matter of truth. I have reason to believe your students, was involved in an event of significant importance. I am sure you know that last night... there was unknown creature attack our city together with the demon. The evidence suggests they were the one who defeated it."
Mahendra's eyes narrowed slightly as he opened the envelope, scanning the report, and examining the charred Academy emblem that had been recovered from the scene of Kai and Alethea's fight against Akhekh. He put the parchment down and wrung his fingers. "Kai… Alethea... They are indeed part of us, Kai... even if at first glance he seems ordinary. However, there is something unique about him." His tone was a mix of pride and worry.
Evan leaned forward. "I need to speak with him, Grandmaster. The implications of his actions are vast. If he truly defeated it, the generals requested me to bring him to us—and he must understand what he has done."
Mahendra studied Evan for a long moment, weighing his intentions. Finally, he stood and walked toward the window, gazing out at the training grounds where students sparred and honed their skills. "Kai is... different. Talented, yes, but not yet ready for the bigger threat out there. He is something else... he was just been here for a few days, but he showed us the immense talent he has."
The grandmaster turned back to Evan, his voice softer now. "I will summon both of them, but I must warn you—they are not a soldier yet, approach them with care."
Evan nodded, his resolve firm. "I'll do what I must, Grandmaster. However, I will respect your counsel."
Grandmaster Mahendra turned back from the window and pressed a small, yet futuristic design ornate button on his desk. Moments later, Sherry, his trusted secretary, entered the office. She carried herself with professional poise, her sharp eyes taking in the room with a glance before settling on the grandmaster.
"Sherry," Mahendra said, his voice calm yet firm, "please tell Kai and Alethea to come to my office immediately."
Sherry gave a quick nod, her efficient demeanor masking any curiosity she might have felt. "Right away, Grandmaster."
As she exited the room, her footsteps purposeful, Mahendra turned back to Mayor Evan. "Alethea has been one of Kai's closest person so far. Even I did not notice her psychic power is that strong. I must surprise, together, they've faced a challenge most students would not dare to do it."
Evan arched an eyebrow, intrigued. "This may be an interesting meeting after all."
While they waited, the air in the office grew heavy with unspoken thoughts. Outside, Sherry moved swiftly through the Academy, her presence commanding attention from students and staff alike. She found Kai in the class room with Rio, and Alethea in the same room, immersed in her studies.
"Kai, Alethea," Sherry said crisply, addressing them both in turn, "the Grandmaster requires you in his office at once."
Rio was surprised because Kai and Alethea were suddenly called by Grandmaster.
"Kai?" Rio confused. "What now?"
Kai froze, a flicker of apprehension crossing his face. Alethea, ever perceptive, noticed his reaction and placed a reassuring hand on his arm. "We should go," she said softly, her eyes steady.
"We'll be back Rio," Kai answered Rio with ambiguous words in his head.
Rio confusedly followed their movements until the three of them slowly left the classroom. Together, they followed Sherry through the halls of the Academy, their minds filled with questions about what awaited them behind the grandmaster's imposing door.
Alethea noticed the tension creeping into Kai's posture. He had been unusually quiet since Sherry's called them, his brow furrowed with thoughts that seemed to swirl in endless circles. Alethea could feel the weight of his unease.
"Kai," she said softly, her voice cutting through the silence. "Relax. Don't think too much about it."
Kai glanced at her, and respond her words with a smile. "Thank You Ale."
Alethea gave him a small, reassuring smile, when his self-doubt threatened to overwhelm him. Kai took a deep breath, trying to calm himself a bit. Together, they continued down the hallway, the weight of the pressure now feeling just a little lighter.
