Chapter 10 - Cosmic Contract: Battle of The Force

"What is that for?" Kai bowed in pain but was able to stand with both legs assisted by his right hand.

"I have to know how determined you are to achieve what you dream of." Enlil unleashes her golden aura to attack Kai. "And before I lend you my power, I will give you a test."

Kai stood up slowly as he cleaned his uniform from the dirt.

"Alright..." Kai understood the intention of Enlil. "There is no easy way to be the best eh?"

"It is easy," Enlil said. "You only have to hit my body once, then I will keep my promise."

Kai gave a sinister smile because he knew this would be a troublesome and tiring thing. Kai showed his mixed martial arts stance as he was telling Enlil that he would fight him to gain his trust.

"One punch..." Kai focused on Enlil to anticipate his movements. "Do you think I am stupid enough to fall with your words this time?"

"You have a confident young one," Enlil gave him a faint smile. "But let's see is it a confidence? Or a cockiness."

The air crackled with anticipation, the energies of the realm pulsating with a mixture of tension and awe. Enlil's eyes, pools of celestial knowledge, regarded Kai with a gaze that seemed to reach beyond the confines of time itself. Kai's heart pounded in his chest, his resolve a fire that burned brightly within him.

With a sudden burst of motion, Enlil moved—an elegant blur of iridescent light that defied the limits of human perception. Kai's instincts kicked in, and he barely managed to bring his arms up in defense as Enlil's strike landed with a force that sent shockwaves through his form. The impact rocked Kai's stance, and he staggered back, his boots scraping against the luminous floor of the realm.

Enlil's attack had been swift and calculated, a testament to his mastery over the cosmic energies that flowed through the realm. Kai's teeth clenched, his eyes narrowing with a mixture of determination and frustration. This was not just a physical confrontation—it was a trial of strength, a challenge that would test his readiness to wield the power that Enlil had offered.

"Is that all you got?" Enlil underestimated Kai with a disappointed look. "I might be regretting this."

Kai looked at Enlil with a look on his face that showed his annoyance at Enlil's words.

With a fierce roar, Kai launched himself forward, his muscles tensing as he unleashed a flurry of strikes aimed at Enlil's form. His movements were driven by a potent mix of frustration and determination, an understanding that landing a single hit on Enlil was a feat that surpassed any earthly challenge he had faced before.

Enlil's movements were a dance of cosmic grace—a fluid sidestep, a graceful pivot, and a shimmering evasive maneuver that defied the laws of motion. Kai's fists sliced through the air, but they met empty space each time. Enlil's form seemed to waver and ripple as if he were a being woven from the very fabric of time itself.

The dance of battle continued a symphony of movement and energy that resonated with the rhythms of the universe. Kai's strikes were met with counters that seemed to anticipate his every move as if Enlil were attuned to the currents of Kai's thoughts and intentions. Frustration gnawed at the edges of Kai's determination, his breaths coming in ragged bursts.

"Anger is not the best type of attack," Enlil stopped Kai's fist with one index finger from his right hand. "You see?"

Enlil's voice cut through the air like a cosmic whisper, carrying the weight of epochs. "Your intentions must align with the cosmic currents, Kai. Your every movement is a resonance—a reflection of your connection to the energies that flow through all things."

Kai's brow furrowed, his mind grappling to comprehend Enlil's words amidst the intensity of the battle. His strikes intensified, his attacks fueled by the fire of his determination to prove himself worthy of the power that Enlil held. He understood that this battle was not just about physical strength—it was about attunement, about understanding the symphony of energies that flowed through the realm.

Enlil's counters were a masterclass in combat—precise, powerful, and resonating with the essence of ancient knowledge. As their movements intertwined, the energies of the realm surged and ebbed, the luminous currents responding to the collision of their forces.

Kai's frustration transformed into a surge of focus—a recognition that he needed to plan his every move by watching Enlil's steps. With a deep breath, he steadied himself, his gaze fixed on Enlil's form. His movements became more calculated, more intentional—a dance of energy and intent that echoed the celestial harmonies.

"His movements are so fast," Kai analyzed his movements in his mind. "Does he read all my movements?"

Enlil punched the left side of Kai's face quickly and hard, Kai bounced a few meters away and fell. Kai felt pain that made his left vision a little blurred for a few seconds.

Enlil showed a faint smile and gave a hand signal to Kai to attack him back.

"This guy is beyond my capacity," Kai realized Enlil's power. "But I won't give up, just because I am a human that does not mean he can be defeated."

With a sudden burst of speed, Kai closed the distance between them, his fist aiming for Enlil's form with a resolve that burned like a star. Enlil's form shifted, his body flowing like liquid light as he evaded Kai's strike with a hair's breadth. The air crackled with the remnants of their clash, the energies of the realm swirling around them.

Kai's fist met empty air, but his determination remained unyielding. He turned, his form a whirlwind of motion as he unleashed a swift kick aimed at Enlil's side. Enlil countered with a graceful spin, his palm meeting Kai's foot with a force that sent a shockwave rippling through the realm.

Kai's form spiraled back, his boots skimming the luminous floor before he regained his footing. The impact of Enlil's counter had sent jolts of energy through his limbs, but it also ignited a fire within him.

As Kai readied himself for the next exchange, Enlil's form seemed to shimmer—a testament to the energies he held within him. Their gazes locked, and an unspoken understanding passed between them. This was not just a battle of physical prowess—it was a dance of intention, a meeting of energies, and a challenge that extended beyond Kai's imagination.

"What's wrong?" Enlil heated up Kai as if he showed his doubt of Kai. "Giving up already?"

Kai stared at Enlil who was waiting for Kai for the next attack. He stared at Enlil intently as if he was thinking of a thousand ways to launch his attack.

Immediately, Kai thought of trying to attack Enlil with his force technique, "I need to try it, I am not sure it will work but I need to try to use the force that the headmaster taught me."

"How can you reach your dream if you are so weak like this?" Enlil gave body language that showed that he was bored with this test.

With a renewed surge of energy, Kai launched himself at Enlil once more, his fists a blur of motion. Enlil's form responded to his movements a blend of ancient grace and cosmic power. Each strike was met with a counter that carried the weight of millennia, each clashes resonating with the symphony of existence.

Time seemed to bend as the battle raged on—a battle that transcended the confines of the physical. The energies of the Annunaki Realm surged around them, responding to their movements like cosmic currents. The clash of their strikes created shockwaves that rippled through the luminous expanse, their battle a testament to the forces that bound them together.

Kai's determination burned brighter with every exchange, his resolve unwavering even in the face of Enlil's mastery. He knew that this battle was more than just a trial—it was an opportunity to tap into the depths of his own potential, to align his intentions with the cosmic forces, and to bridge the gap between the known and the uncharted.

Enlil's counters were a testament to his understanding of the cosmic currents, his movements a reflection of the energies that flowed through the realm. But Kai's attacks grew more calculated, more attuned to the rhythms of the universe.

With a sudden surge of energy, Kai launched himself into a series of fluid strikes, each movement guided by an understanding of the energies that surrounded them. Enlil countered, his form an embodiment of cosmic power. Their actions became a dance—a dance of energy and intent, of strength and understanding.

"You thought this attack would hit my body?" Enlil mocked Kai coldly. "This is useless as..."

"Shut up!" Kai shut Enlil's words before he finished it. "My dream is not useless!"

Kai began to release the force energy on his right hand, he stared at Enlil with a gaze between determination and a will to win. Kai attacked quickly, "I am not giving up!" Kai was getting closer to Enlil.

Enlil was shocked by how quick Kai was this time, "I want to contribute to Vanguard to save the world!" Kai continued as he got closer and closer to Enlil.

Kai pointed his fist quickly at Enlil, "WHO ARE YOU TO JUDGE MY DREAM!?" Kai Kai shouted as his fist got closer to Enlil's face.

Enlil didn't have time to dodge because he was still shocked by Kai's increasing speed then, in a moment that seemed to stretch beyond time, Kai's force connected with Enlil's body.

The impact was Enlil bounced in pain and fell heavily to the ground. The very air seemed to vibrate with the intensity of the moment, the energies of Kai responding to the convergence of their physical contact.

Enlil's form wavered for a fraction of a second—a testament to the power behind Kai's strike. And at that moment, their gazes locked—a silent acknowledgment that resonated with the currents of the realm. Enlil's lips curved into a faint smile, a recognition of Kai's determination and growth.

"You have proven yourself, Kai," Enlil's voice resonated, his words carrying the weight of a promise amidst the echoes of battle. "You have shown that you are worthy of my power through this test."

Kai tried to listen carefully to Enlil's words while sighing to draw a lot of oxygen to his lungs because the fight consumed so much of his stamina.

"As your promise I will lend you my power," Enlil's body shimmered with an iridescent brilliance, a manifestation of the energies that flowed through him.

As Enlil spoke, the energies that enveloped him began to shift—a current of light and energy flowing toward Kai. It was as if the very essence of the cosmos was being channeled through Enlil's being, converging into a luminous torrent that surged toward Kai's body.

Kai's eyes widened in awe as the energies enveloped him—a sensation that was both overwhelming and exhilarating. He could feel the currents of power weaving through his very cells, his consciousness expanding to accommodate the influx of cosmic energy. The realm seemed to pulse with their connection, a symphony of energy and intent that transcended the boundaries of reality.

Enlil's form began to fade, his presence merging with the energies that now flowed through Kai. It was a transformation that transcended the physical—a merging of souls, a connection that resonated with the cosmic tapestry. Kai felt a surge of vitality, a surge of understanding that reached beyond words.

"Let us go back to your reality," Enlil's voice echoed in Kai's mind. "I will show you more there."

"Alright, thank you for lending me the power," Kai agreed with Enlil. "Time to go back to my room."

He closed his eyes for a moment, and as the luminous energies of the Annunaki Realm began to fade, Kai felt a subtle shift—a sensation akin to being gently pulled away from a dream. The cosmic currents that had enveloped him, the symphonies of energy and intent, gradually receded, leaving behind a lingering sense of awe and transformation.

As he opened his eyes, Kai's gaze fell upon his room. He took a deep breath, feeling relieved that the fight was already done. He was glad that he went back to reality as he tried to lie down on his bed.

"What a long day," Enlil's voice can be heard. "Isn't it?"

"Yeah," Kai agreed. "You made it very complicated."

"You got my power now," Enlil convinced him. "There is nothing to complain anymore."
